Love the time lapse video, and also the text bubbles describing what is going on and how/why. What I do like the most, is the sharpie black marker for covering up the overcut and/or the edges of the box. Nice cheat code to better work.
@bilko1340 Sure do but seriously, I've demo'd the tricks. You can lay down the decals by yourself within a mm of where you want them to land. Figuring out that process took me a several attempts to refine. My initial redecals caused me lots of worry, fear and sweat. That's why I devised this process to make it idiot proof. :) Kind regards... Clark
how on earth are you not getting air bubbles?! It freaked me out watching this with you putting the deals on like that! I'm also surprised you didn't paint the cab. Everyone says to paint it, but I like seeing that you don't have to.
mate this is an awesome video, thanks for sharing. i'm gonna go look for anything else you may have uploaded now, i hope there's lots as this was full of excellent little details
Hi SkippyChurch. Onto bare wood the decals don't bubble; well you might get micro-bubbles but the wood is porous and any micro-bubbles recede. However going over existing artwork you will get bubbles but they are but a pin prick away from removal. Trust me, the night before the first time I put the decals on, I has a very restless night thinking of all the possible ways of putting the decals down. At NZD$500 a set I didn't want to stuff things up (crooked, torn, folded, etc.) Cheers.. Clark
@RetroGamerFan1 Hi there. BayAreaAmusements has the correct part, MarcoSpecialties have a long-life equivalent. Search for: "47 lamp" in each site. Lind regards... Clark
Hi, this a great job!!! I live in Argentina and I have several pinball at home. You know how I can get the art side? I can download from any website and print it locally? any feedback would be appreciated. best regards
Hi Eddie. "Builders Bog" is what we call it in NZ, it's an epoxy/plastic wood filler similar to what you use for panelbeating. Its a tin of smelly goo with a tube of hardener; a 2 component mixture that's pinkish and sets in ~10 minutes and is workable like wood for up to an hour. Don't use "normal" linseed putty, that could stain, take forever to dry and dissuade decal adhesion. HTH... Cheers... Clark
ClarkMills Oh I see this is similar to what we use in the states called Bondo. It's mainly use on automotive repairs but can also be used on wood. It's a mixture that also uses a hardener. I was hoping to find an alternative as this stuff is pretty smelly but I guess it's the way to go. I"ll be working on a Indiana Jones soon. Thanks for your reply.
Thanks for your help! One more question. Where I can buy the art side of Fish Tales and Indiana Jones ? I will try to buy in USA and send to me in Argentina. Thanks in advance!!!.
Hi there. Several places but a quick look at bayareaamusements.com, search for fish tales gives this: bayareaamusements.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=GS-FT99NG Cheers... Clark
@wolverine6268 I'm sure one could somehow print the artwork with the appropriate hardware and a good source image. People like sign writers sometime have big ink jet printers that can do large jobs. Let me know how you get on! ;) Cheers... Clark

Wow, that is a lot of work! I want to redecal my fish tales eventually.
Awesome video!
Thanks for this, about to do mine, any reason I shouldn’t install on top of original decals?
Great video, great job. Fancy a working holiday in the UK re-decalling my Twilight Zone?!!
Amazed you did not prime prior to applying the decals. I thought one had to. Also, no filling and sanding of any cabinet imperfections.
Awesome video. Very helpful. Thanks!
