The fact that this film didn't get a theatrical release outside of North America was about to be my villain origin story 👹 Thankfully after it was released online my friend was able to get their hands on it and we organized a movie night with the gays, and that truly was my favorite cinematic experience of a lifetime 🙏🏻
it's the way i will unprompted just start reciting the "baby i would never cheat on you AGAIN" scene, just out of nowhere, nobody asked and I'm here like "it was one time! with your sister!"
omg you and i were quoting the exact same scenes i swear!! and not enough people have noticed jeff's steak at lunch so i'm so happy that you saw it too
how is it that you like every single one of my favorite media? this movie is so criminally underrated it is genuinely the best thing i have seen in my life. I feel like this movie was made for me because ive been long obsessed with the genre of teen highschool movies and i love improve and i love when lesbians are put in roles typically occupied by straight men and i love ayo and rachel and i love how the delivery of the dialogue is so grounded and natural no matter how absurd it gets. And I like how the gay characters are able to actually express attraction to the same sex without being in a commited relationship, you know. it also commentates on feminism in a way that is so much more successful then some other comedies which just have the female characters say feminist things and shut down the sexists which kind of does the opposite of showcasing gender inequality because it makes it seem like men listen to women, which they dont. the jokes in this film are genuinely so funny and work so well, they're like real dark comedy like you said sorry im fighting the urge to write a whole ass essay about this movie rn
I am a 46-year-old straight man obsessed with cinema, and I think that Bottoms may not be the best film of all time, but it is the best film of 2023. It's so fresh, so surprising, so funny, so cute, that no other film could come close to it on my personal top list. I want a sequel, now! Or at least a 10-hour special edition, with all the bloopers, cuts, extra jokes, creators' commentary.

It did! It's been out internationally since mid October if I recall, it was just so much later than the US release

Our minds
You're so right about the plotting of Bottoms. Structurally its literally flawless, and that solid foundation is what allows the absurdity to work
LOUDER
I never noticed the blow job before! Thank you so much for drawing that to my attention lol.
Real it took me like 5 viewings to notice
My obsession with this movie is legitimately unhealthy I've watched it every day this week
As you should honestly
how is it that you like every single one of my favorite media?
