Jordo54321 This tobias is pre-gibson, is from michael tobias, anyway, it takes some tweaking to get a similar tone. I use equalizer + compressor audio plugins after recording and it changes a lot the tone. Sorry for my english, I hope it helps you. Thanks for watching.

From what I've heard, the Jazz sounded kind of muted, and when I tried a Precision in store it was pretty subby. I figure if alot of disco used a Jazz it must be alright though since that's what I'm into.

first off brilliant job, but I had a quick question, I wanted to be able to do similar recordings especially for practice, how are you able to isolate the original bass line from the original track and better yet record over it? like is there some kind of software youre using, some djing equipment or something? please do not judge my ignorance lol. How does this work? sounds like you were in studio with these guys lol
Hey Jordo54321, I also have a fender jazz bass, it's very good, a classic bass,I think the most of the classics song that we know were recorded with them. it's a great choice. I love the tobias because is very versatile, I can get some different tones, and is confortable to play on it. With another tobias you can get a similar tone like mine, or you can try a Warwick bass, I really love them too. All these choices are great! In my oppinion. Good luck!
