I love this video. I stumbled across it while trying to find an artist that used Yamaha RGX guitars. Hoping someday to own that sweet looking white guitar that the lead guitarist had. Looks like an Rgx 620. The opening riff with the bassist is so badass. I dig their costumes, their presence and energy. Wish I found out about them earlier. To me this live version sounds so much better than the one I can find on my streaming service.
I wish I had known about this concert. I was living in Hollywood then and somehow missed it. Only performance in America if memory serves correcly. They were both ahead of their time and better than any female band at the time. AND NO it is NOT overestimated. It is vastly underestimated. The bands in Japan kick our asses.
Keiko Terada has a great voice that suits the Show-ya.Been listening to show-ya for over 4 years, enjoyable listening.Show-ya is good value, great guitar work and drums.Thank you for the upload.
Do you mean overrated? Overestimated? What does that mean? "Let me make an estimate of how good this band will be playing tonight" What? Well I'm a Maidaholic and these is nothing overrated about Band-Maid. Incredible band.
Thank you for posting this. Now, about the rock scene in Japan...the only reason the rock scene in the U.S. isn't overestimated is because there isn't one. Oh, yes, there are prog groups like Polyphia, but they have to make a living off youtube because radio refuses to play them.
Uh do you mean OVERRATED? Overestimated makes no sense. AND NO THEY ARE NOT OVERRATED. They blow American female rockers off the stage. This song is not as good as their other material. SHOW YA can kick ass and this song was an MTV style song not representative of SHOW YA.
Female rockers? When was the last time an American male rock band came along that was this good? 1985? The US gave up on rock with grunge and has never recovered.
Sounds like Vixen and Beck, and there's nothing wrong with that, but generally Fabio is right - there are plenty of cod-metal bands from Japan that produced generic material that really doesn't measure up. Loudness and Vow Wow being two classic cases that prove the point - heralded by a big fanfare, but failed to deliver anything remarkable. The lighting of this show is _terrible_ - it looks like the singer plus a backing band, as apart from the guitarist during the guitar solos, the rest of the band is in darkness.
And the U.S. has anything better to offer? 30+ years of BTO, Foreigner, Kansas, Springsteen, Seger, Nickelback, and god knows how much other garbage? Other than the SF thrash bands founded in the early 80's, and Halestorm, we are a fucking wasteland. Puh-leeze.
I could swear that the two girls at 3:34 are Roxy Petrucci and Share Ross Pedersen (from VIXEN).
Does anybody could confirm?
YES!
@@fabiovezzosi2172 Thanx ☺👍
Came to see what REAL female rock was.
It does look like them though.
How surprised, Vixen, seeing Show Ya understage. I never would have thought of it.
Keiko brings so much emotion in her singing. I actually well up in tears. The Best band in the world.❤️

So let me be the first to say you are terribly mistaken about the japanese hard/heavy scene, but thank you for this awesome video!

it's funny. The rock scene in the U.S. isn't overrated because there isn't one, and hasn't been since around 1990.
💕💕💕💕💕💕💕Love Keiko, is the Queen to Heavy Metal
El mejor disco de ellas

buen rock de los 80
Great Cover of Cheap Trick
Technically not a cover as Cheap Trick officially released their version much later than Show-Ya. But yes the. song was written by Rick Nielsen.
Title is wrong the captions in video says Roxy LA 1988, even to clip of venue
YEOWWW
I say the Italian hard/heavy scene is absolutely OVERESTIMATED, whatever that means. What does that mean, Fabio?

@Pulaski your opinions are wrong. plain and simple.
