Mixed and mastered by Taylor Larson

Luke Holland's Meinl Cymbals set up from left to right, if sitting behind the kit, is as follows:
- 15" Byzance Traditional Medium Hihats
- 18" Byzance Traditional Extra Thin Hammered Crash
- 8" Byzance Traditional Splash
- 22" Mb20 Heavy Bell Ride
- 19" Byzance Traditional Medium Thin Crash
- 16" Byzance Traditional China
- 16" Byzance Vintage Trash Crash (Luke says "splash" but he meant crash. LOL!) turned upside down with a -
- 12" Classics Custom Trash Splash turned upside down and stacked on top
Luke also plays DW drums, Vater drum sticks, and Remo drum heads.
i love this kind of weird music - been tired of the 4 chords songs on the radio :)
Mainstream trash gotcha, ignore me im an asshole
@Val Macanas I think that's precisely what he means. This particular vein of rock is fairly obscure in the grand scope of things, though.
That said, Richardson and Holland are monsters at their craft, nearly unparalleled.
@@biganimetiddies1287 this is metal not rock
@@Pleadingforriffs a whole one year later but I always come back to this video😂but yes metal is 100% originated from rock
Luke is literally the most pocketedly accurate drummer in the alternative genre HANDS DOWNS. The dude plays the beef of them skins.
in love with luke's stack. 😍
I like the part where they went bee ner ner dugga dogga du du du da do.. beeerr. ya know? Almost as good as the bugga bugga do-do neer.
freakinsweet830 that's what i shout whenever i stub my toe
Yeah it’s beautiful
I couldn't have said it better myself 🤘
Really looking forward to seeing what Lukes future will have in store for him.
my guess is he dies at 27 or 28 of an "overdose" ahaha!
1:51 That broken ride pattern with the double kick pattern underneath, not sure I've ever heard anything like that before. So rad.
Sean Croteau I'm actually pretty positive he's doing triplets on the ride while keeping the bass drums in 4/4
Torque Bow It sounds like 1 &a2 &a3 &a4 &a1 to me. Kind of looks like triplets in the video, but listening carefully sounds like the above broken pattern.
Sean Croteau Yep, I think your pattern is spot on :)
Yeah Sean is right, must take so much coordination though
I've slowed down the main music video so many times and it's a simple triplet. twice on the ride and once on the bell. If you slow down the video and watch his wrist he is doing the same here, It is just gorgeous. One of my all time favorite drum compositions.
1:16 that guitar is growling. Jason is surely a certified madman.
Killer drum sounds! These guys rock!
This is unreal! That stack sounds great!
This is really awesome! I watch this every day, at least one time. Somehow I cant get enough of it ;-)
It feels good to finally see Luke hit a real splash instead of the ride lol (like in the music video)
oh god this tour is going to be too sick
I like the part where he does the one thing with the drums and at the same time, the other guy is doing the wheedle-wheedle-deedle-doo with the guitar.
Most impressive composition in the whole album!
3:32 I think he’s flexing on the studio recording! Never caught that before, Luke has been so incredible for years, his playing is so rich you can come back to his work and still gain from it even if you’re like me and have watched these countless times.
That's one sweet guitar love the color pattern
00:42 That was unique and it sound so dark.
That's my boyz. Sick af.
Good cover guys. Keep hard work!
Best album i've heard this year!
Very good snare sound.
It's good but I think it should have more guitar solos, harmonics, and syncopation .
this was syncopated as FUK
thats the joke
Needs more of a Flam, rest. Flam, rest
i laughed way too hard at this idk
WHO DOTH DARETH DISLIKE?
those who dislike, be those who can't understand...
+Desert Jesus Its guitar shredding, thats the base thing to understand, and its not very hard
"It's not very hard"...
lol fucking people make me riot.
Sure it's not Chick Corea....but it takes some intense discipline to play like these guys. It's a lot of work, whether you like it or wouldn't want to listen to it at all, it's a shame how people can't respect hard work in an age where the masses listen to computers making music...
+no name "no name" fits you perfectly, would love to see you have even a sliver of this kind of creativity.
My man got a splash 👍🏾👍🏾
Great job Guys. Happy Holidays! :) Sharing..............
most aggressive I've heard from him nice blast beats
sounds better than the album
I just need to say that if this ends up becoming something more you guys better come to Denver!!
O man o man!! That's great news, they better hit Colorado!!
daaaaang-this is sweet!
All this is really missing is Morgan Freeman's voice
Jamie MacMullin WTH does that mean
clean.
damn. i like it!!!
yeah mad boys keep on jammin🤘🤘
wow wowow wwwwoooow, great stuff right here
PLEASE MAKE THIS ALBUM AVAILABLE ON SPOTIFY :((
never
NasonJewton why?
Spotify fucks over artists financially.
Serious question... What doesn't? I don't know where to upload my music...
awesome
Taking after Animals! :) Luke is BEAST!
YEAH COOL BUT WHERE'S TITAN
yeah the stack is killer but it must also be killer for both sticks and the cymbals!
+MEINL Cymbals - Does anyone know what the toms are miked with?
is that an old presonus 26x26 in the background?!?
Comparing this to Jason's past work with Chelsea Grin makes me speechless...
i love this duo. i love they masterpiece, but in this video , Luke Holland a little tired for his blasting.. im ride so bad .. but you still done it Luke.. The best for you
Tosin? Matt? Is that you?
so will these guys start a more fleshed out band? I truly hope so. Jason's album was great but these two together kick ass and I'd love to see his solo project evolve into something new.
oh I forgot Luke was with that other band already... the word alive.
Kyle Armbrust he left the word alive
7sloth would be a rad addition. Check his page on YT
amazing how all that is coming only 2 musicians
And a backing track
#realtrueart
Nice
Woooooooohhhh 😬😬😬😬😬
lol Jason, what are thooooseee?
Tom De Raad expensive
So he is using an axefx2 with a pre half stack. interesting.
he use tuning guitar ???
nice video ° but why sounds like vst ?
👌🤘👍
Paren de ser tan brigidos que me dan ganas de guardar la guitarra
ништяк!
There is no backing track, this is awesome dudes
The drums must be doing the guitar lead part at 3.40 then?
Of course, there is backing track, which includes bass and some guitar, but performance is really awesome!
Kick drum seems quantized. Whole kit doesn't fit together at certain parts.
Sean Gallagher This is Luke holland we're talking about.
Is that a JP musicman?
ZaiMedia duh
Animals as Leaders is changing the game. This song is good, but it sounds like one of theirs (to me).
I am is logged in This song was made before Animals As Leaders new album?
i think he just means in general dude
Brandon Chambers ah my bad
Nível Hard ....

*trash crash lol
diggin his MAGA hat
thier faces worry me lol
first
wipe down that damn guitar Jason. all smudgey AF
Drums way too loud :(
Metal meets jazz, very skilled, very mathematical, not very memorable...
instead of this garbage metal listen to sianvar there way better expecially guitar and drums for the group.
Luke is my favorite drummer but he butchered a couple of those blasts haha.
This music has no soul, and I don't mean the genre.
arvostelija199 I'm so tired of reading this comment under nearly every metal music video.
Yes, that may be due to a real point in these comments. I personally see this kind of songs are similiar to etydes in classical music. It's simply there to show off some shredding skills but there rarely is any musicality in these.
arvostelija199 Considering this song, I'm with you. I think it's very normal for a solo album to show off. But even on this album are a lot of well structured, heavy songs like Breaking Damnation for example. It's just annoying in general. It's okay if someone doesn't get goosebumps listening to double bass, blast beats or a heavy breakdown. But that just doesn't mean it's soulless :) .. I hope you get my point
Boring.
