Hi PP when’s next viewer call ins? I wanna call in lol. Been watching you since I went vegan but stopped honestly when you became religious again I just don’t understand how lol I wanna see how u square it all lol Edit: the main problem I have is the problem of evil. Don’t get me wrong I’m not into philosophy much at all, and u have a PHD. But in a normie sense I guess I’d lean more toward not efilism but I really think the moral imperative for us all is to reduce suffering. If God exists, why create suffering. It’s hell on Earth. Torture, pain, sadness. I cannot accept someone bringing all this into existence and somehow justifying it. Holocausts, diseases, grief, it all is horrible.
Being vegan would actually be much harder to justify under atheism and moral subjectivism. Not saying the problem of evil isn't a problem, but using terms like evil already presupposes some kind of objective good. So vegans who are atheists and moral subjectivists surprise me. They borrow quite a bit from theistic paradigms like Christianity. From a philosophical position it is quite a mess, I would say impossible to square.
Hey man, I don't know when im next streaming since my schedule has fallen through since a family member had to have surgery. That said, once I do you're welcome to call in. Also just a heads up, I don't have a PhD, I was a PhD student and will hopefully be returning to my studies soon.
@@PerspectivePhilosophymb no PHD yet but u may as well have one already when comparing ur knowledge to someone like me lol but for sure I will be looking out for next call in stream
Hey PP, this has really sparked some thought within me. I am trying to acquaint myself with Hegel currently, while looking at Wittgenstein as well with a friend. Would you be willing to do a video that breaks down Language through the lens of a Hegelian. I was trying to see if Language can fit into a Hegelian Triad, or if that task is even possible. Could language fit into a Universal, Particular, Individual structure? I may be completely on the wrong track here, but I am a noob. Would greatly appreciate any insight, or putting me on the right track. Thanks a lot for your content. It has been extremely helpful to me.
I have been waiting for this
Great metaphysics discussion as always Lewis
