Absolutely! Yes to an adult Pacman Frog care video - and tyvm for the shout out!
I'd love to see a care video for adult pacman frogs! ❤️
@@crazycritterlady88 thanks for letting me know!
I would also love to see adult pacman care even though I already have one
I wanted to like this video, but honestly watching you feed them one of the main foods they shouldn't be eating which is crickets. That breaks my heart. I honestly would have thought you would know better. They honestly should have better diet. Their main diet is other frogs. They should be fed sliver sides or clean frogs if you can find them, they are sold for bait. Dubia roaches are the better choice of insect, PAC attack, nightcrawlers, Horn worm, small lizards such a day geckos, ect. They definitely shouldn't have meal worms at all or super worms! If you do, give them freshly molted ones. The no crickets comes from the mouths vets and vet techs.
I know this video is a year old, but this is probably the best one I've found so far for caring for these guys. Having always been a reptile keeper and just recently getting into amphibians, I really enjoyed your approach to care on a budget. A recurring theme I find in a lot of the content about reptiles and exotic pets, in general, is that it is incredibly expensive to own these amazing creatures. Your video was engaging, concise, educational, and easy to understand and follow. I appreciate how you showcased that these animals can be taken care of with realistic, simple methods and can be done on any budget. You, sir, have gained a new follower.
I have a Pacman frog (my little Sunny Side Up) and he is so precious! I loved this video and would also love to see you care for adult Pacman frogs because more info and perspectives are better than less! Great video!
Haha that’s the most AMAZING name for a (I am assuming albino?) pacman frog! Thank you, I’m so glad you enjoyed the video! A lot of fellow viewers have asked me to do the adult pacman video so I’ll be doing that!
I'm waiting on that video as well...Cant wait to see it uploaded 😄
@@PaulieAFantoneJays19 looking forward to filming it, editing it and sharing!
I'M SURPRISED, I KEPT MY FROGLET THE EXACT SAME WAY!! 3 months later she got really big so i got to move her to a bigger tank with soil!!
omg, i also did the 2 layers of filter sponge (the top with a slope) and leaf litter for my froglet!! yeay thanks for putting this out there!!
now my frog is over a year old, going strong n chunky. awesome awesome awesome pacman frog video as always!! the way i gasped when i got this notification was monstrous. my favourite frog species is all of them, but i would love to have Dumpies and Pixies in the future. frogs are definitely best creature ever.
yippee frogges!!!!
Gotta say whites tree frogs are one of my favorites. I live in jp and when frogs get bruised up a bit, we use fish skin Medicine and let them absorb it through there skin. I like how different cultures have different methods! Definitely want an amazon horned frog soon! Also I think potato might be a good name for the other frog.
Whites tree frogs are great! Thanks for sharing that! That’s interesting! Yes, C. cornuta is a really cool species! Haha someone else suggested potato too! Thanks!
The filter sponge substrate idea is so clever!
Glad you think so!
Love the doco style you're getting into, I hoped you'd do more like this after the madagascar series. This is an awesome mix of you being a great doco host plus the in-house animal keeping :)
Thank you so much! I have every intention to! I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!
They're the cutest!!! If I could keep pacman frogs I would. 🐸 💚
Have a great day and take care.
Couldn’t agree more! Lovely amphibians for sure! Thank you! Have a great day too!
Gray tree frogs (hyla versicolor) are my favorites. They are native to my area, have a lovely call, which my parents thought were raccoons when I was younger, and are super fun pets. Obviously, gets yours captive-bred kids!
They are such great frogs! We have them here in South Eastern Canada as well and I love them! Beautiful call, agreed!
These frogs are seriously the CUTEST! For name suggestions for the other lil frog baby are: leaf names or maybe even just leaf as their name lol other options: hickory, pine, maple, oak, alder, beech, dogwood, cedar, spruce, hemlock lol
Thank you very much! Wow, what a great list of names to choose from, thank you!
I'd love to see a video on caring for an adult pacman 😊
Nice frog’s can’t wait to see them grow with the channel
Thank you! Can’t wait to share!
I purchased a Pac-Man froglet 15 years ago, and unfortunately I housed it on loose substrate as that was recommended to me, and I experienced the warning you provide. Scared me away from frogs. Well done video!
QOTD: I’ve never kept a frog but if I did it would definitely be a Pac-Man frog. They’re so darn cute!!❤️🐸❤️ They sit so still for the silver application!
Thanks for watching! They are great animals!
i own one his name is greg and he’s probably my favorite pet even though he does just sit in the dirt😂
I am watching this video with Ethan... I think I might have to keep these frogs on my bucket list. They are too beautiful.
I still have a C. cornuta with your name on it! 😎😉🐸!
Great video 👍 Just got a Pacman frog so this came at a great time. I would love an adult care video.
Thank you! I'm so glad to hear that! Congrats on your new amphibian friend!
I can’t choose a favorite frog easily, but I may choose the mossy treefrog or the African bullfrog for something larger. Horned frogs are the amphibians that I had the most issues with. Many cranwelli are overbred and as a result fail in their juvenile stage.
I love Pixie frogs! They are great. I’ve kept 3. And great Daddy frogs too 💚
If you’re talking about the Vietnamese mossy frog (T. Corticale) they’re a pretty good species to work with. They can with stand a wide range in temperature and fairly simple to take care off. The pixie frog or African bull frog is good as well. Basically a rock 😅
I have to say this video was really well made. Nice dude
Thanks so much! 🙏🏼
This is the BEST video and just what I was looking for as I get my little froglet next week! I learned so much, thank you thank you thank you. Your frogs look so well taken cared of, I hope to achieve this with mine!
Such a great video and I’m glad you showed what issues you had and how to resolve them!
Thank you kindly! I always try to share teachable moments! Thank you so much for watching!
Would love an adult care video 😊
Sounding like I’ll have to do it! 🐸
@@Reptiliatushow soon?
Also. What would you recommend for heating (heat mat, DHP, CHE, halogen bulb, basking bulb) and temp control (dimming vs pulse vs on/off and brand/model) in a glass enclosure?
I don't have one favorite frog so much as a couple ones that have a special place in my heart, but pacman frogs (especially Cranwell's and Ornates) are definitely one of them. Lemur leaf frogs are what's probably closest to being my absolute fave, but if I could keep one kind of frog I'd probably go for either a paludarium of starry night reed frogs or a nice big group paludarium of yellow-bellied toads like what serpadesign has.
Great video, I love watching different pacman frog care guides and would love to see one on adult pacman care in the future. It's interesting to see the different kinds of setups people use.
I've never had a frog (unless if pockets full of baby frogs from the fields counts) in captivity. But if possible, the Desert Rain Frog would be a first choice, then Milk Frogs. Ferocious, both kinds :D
Thank you for the video, I have been waiting :)
QOTD: recently I fell into the rabbithole of keeping dartfrogs. It's so hard to choose a species, because they literally all look stunning. I especially fell in love with the ranitomeya and oophaga genus. So to answer the question: Ranitomeya variabilis/imitator! Would be awesome to be able to keep a few of them in the future.
My favorite frogs are the horned treefrogs of the genus Hemiphractus, they have direct development, the females carry froglets on their backs, and just like C. cornuta, they are specialized predators of other frogs ; they have fang-like teeth as well and apparently bite quite readily in the field
They are quite incredible! Agreed!
In the running for most appropriately named Herp of all time
Avocado? :) Thanks for watching!
Do you have a video on about breeding pacmans?
Top notch video. Great info, beautiful presentation, clearly a lot of work put in... and adorable froglets. I learned a new word today. 🐸 And yes - I would love to see an adult care video!
Thank you so much! I’m happy you enjoyed it!
The most perfect garbage disposal (along with pixies)!
As for the QOTD i would say American toads. Toad-ally not biased but they have the best personalities of any frog! I love keeping my pair. I have them in a 40 gallon and love to just watch them run around and beg for food. They are also the easiest amphibians (or even herps for that matter)to keep and are very, very, very underrated. Only problem is that they aren’t captive bred. I am trying though 😉
Hahaha well put!
Toads are a lot of fun! Haha I see what you did there 😉. Sounds like you have given them a great life!
Whites tree frogs! I need to learn how to care for them first ❤ Also, love to see how you make enclosures for the adults. Peace!
Wonderful choice 🐸! Thank you for sharing! You got it!
awesome video! great job! can't wait for a lunchbox-centric video 🐸
Thank you very much! I’m excited for you all to see it!
Thanks a lot from New Zealand! 🇳🇿
super helpful, mentions stuff that other ytbers dont mention like cleaning adn healing
When I got these guys they came in very small about half the size of cranwell froglets . What I had success was feeding them guppies and later cull live bearers. Just when they were doing good and started taking other food items. I bought some C.aurita from an on line vendor which seemed to have some sort of disease problem that spread through my frogs killing all of the cornuta plus some other frogs. Once again reminding me of the importance of quarantining new animals. I also now run my forceps through the dishwasher on sanitize cycle. Live and learn.
As far as other frogs I would like to keep again the asian yellow spotted tree toad comes to mind. Males are meh but the females are quite striking. An aboreal toad neat!
What a brilliant new idea on how to raise them thanks for the idea!
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Love all Dartfrogs colors amazing....
Great choice for sure!
Man I been looking for this for years thanks man.
🐸👍
I remembered you had this video and was gifted as Christmas present my first pac man frog strawberry. I wanted one for years so not impuls present 😊.have reptiles, mostly venomous. But amphibians are so different I needed to re-watch the video. Thanks
Thank you for your video, Frogs are cool. But its helped me realise they require more time than I have to give !
No worries! Very responsibly of you! Thanks for watching!
Cooool idea! Filter foam stuff is a great idea.
I think so too! It works great! Thank you for watching!
Just got my first pacman 🐸 frog...I'm hoping to learn more about them...thank u.
I keep Crabwelli Pacman for around 3 years and she's awsome. I get african bullfrog half a year ago and they pretty similar to keep. Both are easy to keep and have huge appetite.
Mossy frogs are my favourite type of frog and I really want one. There on my wish list 😊
WOW GREAT video as always!! Pacman Frogs are definitely one of my favorites. They are just so adorable, especially when they are eating. Would love to see an adult care video! QoTD: My pet Calyptocephalella Gayi reminds me a lot of Pacman Frogs. She is a goof ball and loves to eat lol. Thank you for all your awesome videos! So informational, helpful, top-quality and fun! Really appreciate the effort!!
I’d love to learn more! I want a pac man frog but I want more info first! They are so cute 🥹
You got it!
I love your videos You're such an inspiration. your one of the people who got me it to the hoppy keep up the great content.
Ps I would love to see some more Chinese water dragon videos
Thank you so much! I’m so flattered 🙏🏼! Do you mean the Chinese crocodile lizards? If so I’ll try to do an update on them soon!
This answered my question I left on the UA-cam short you posted, which involved housing your froglets.
Yes! I was waiting for this video to come out! A lot of people were asking haha
@@Reptiliatus I’ve read of some people, I think it is more prevalent in south East Asian countries, that they keep their frogs on foam/sponge substrates.
So I was really curious. I do think it’s better that as adults, they have proper substrate, since they are less likely to erode their skin trying to burrow into the foam substrate.
I just got a Pac Man froglet. I'm so excited to raise Guapo (him/her?) up to be "Lunchbox" like! Thanks for the care tips.
REPTILE ROOM TOUR!!!
Eventually! 😅
What pacman frog species do you recommend for a beginner frog keeper? Really love them!
Great information and content 👍
Thank you!
AWESOME video. Thanks for sharing your wonderful Pacman froglets🐸
Thank you kindly Felix Team!
How cool is that? Wicked camouflage!
Indeed!
really enjoyed this video man, keep it up!
Really enjoyable video, and yes I'd lobe to see adult care video 😊
I would love a care video on adults! I'm thinking of getting my younger siblings a pacman frog and would love a video to help my dad out with them!
Awesome video with great information!!! 😊 The brown frog sure does blend in with the leaves.
Thanks very much! I’m happy you liked it!
Love the video! I have a Pac-Man frog and am looking to get another soon. I didn’t think about the baby’s eating the substrate at all, but I’m glad I know now!
So glad you enjoyed it and found it helpful! Thanks for watching!
Definitely!! Your red eye crocodile Skink videos were very cool to watch also! You’re one of the many reptile creators that inspire me to make some content!
I would like to say I did mac a pac man frog video as well a while ago and is scheduled to be uploaded soon and even the thumbnail is similar😂 but it has been in the works for a while, just didn’t want you to think I was copying lol
I used to help care for fire belly toads and I was so happy to have the experience of caring for them. Miss them but I would love to get them again.
Those were one of the first herps I kept as a child! I love them!
When keeping the froglet in the plastic container, what can I use as a heat source? I don’t have a reptile room where the temps are kept in the high 70’s nor do I have any other reptiles enclosures to put the plastic container next to. Thanks! Love your video and looking forward to an adult Pac-Man care video.
Congratulations on a great video for raising horned froglets. I'd personally like to see adolescent and adult frog care and housing please 👍🏼
I like any frog that’s colourful! Brown ones are cool too, especially the toads we have in our garden. They’re huge! I’d keep poison dart frogs or red eyed tree frogs. As far as I know poison dart frogs aren’t even poisonous in captivity. I don’t plan on licking them anyway 😂
Just in time for the Reptile show this weekend!
Awesome! Enjoy it!
Hi that is a cute name for baby frogs. Your Pac Man frogs are so beautiful, they have such pretty colors. So interesting on how to house, and feed your frogs. You have such a variety of size ,and color of your frogs. The Pac man sure have a good appetite, and they will eat so many items. Excellent video. You talked about such important information about all of your different frogs, and how to treat them. Cindy
Thank you for all the kind words Cindy! I appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment on my video!
I/we want more of lunchbox and avocados journey
Clay based soil! Of course. I hadn't thought of it. I might even change my Paraguayan rainbow boas substrate too. Make it more claylike. ❤
Sounds great!
I just got a pair of baby tomato frogs! They are so cute!
Loved the vid and it was perfect timing because I am looking into getting one soon!!!
Thank you! That’s awesome!
These are the kind of videos I miss
Happy you liked it!
I just got a pacman frog and there's not much about them. I would love a video on adult pacman frogs and the care please and thanks. Also, a new sub and a fellow Canadian! 🇨🇦 Also, love your videos on whereabouts each species is from, climate and environment, really puts in perspective on what type of enclosure we should keep these little guys. 😊
I love Pacman frogs. My Jabba (Ceratophrys cranwelli) is so cute . I have him since 8 months . I'm a bit scared about the Winter time who is coming. But i think it will Work . 👍😁
I keep my juvenile in a 10gal on coco fiber because it works for him and his feeding. I think it depends on the frog, I never had an issue with him swallowing coco coir, since when he was younger I used to feed him in a separate container, and now he’s old enough to be able to swallow the substrate without severe issues, even though that’s not ideal. Even though I feed him in his enclosure now, I’ve taken care to feed him outside of his hidey-hole so he doesn’t jump and catch substrate in his mouth. I don’t want to change anything for him since it works for him. I don’t want to turn his life upside down AND throw out a bioactive in the process, but if/when I get another baby Ceratophyrs, I’ll keep this in mind and probably change some things. Thank you!
Thanks for this vid. IMO, its the best pacman frog video I’ve seen. For your next one, I’d like you to discuss a bit the differences between Cranwell’s and Ornates. When I got into pacman frogs in the 80s, the trade didn’t distinguish between the two species and most herpers on UA-cam don’t seem to either. My experience is they have different temperaments and preferred conditions and it seems like you’d be in a good position to explain that to people.
I wanna see them in their natural habitat so bad!! QOTD: red eyed tree frogs prob fav overall, I wanna keep Whites tree frogs again though
When I first got into pacman frogs I had 1 die from ingesting substrate. Ever since that happened I keep my Pacman frog and African bullfrog on frog carpet or frog foam. Also easier to keep clean that way. I haven't had any problems ever since. I had a large female live to 17 years old. She has since passed away. I've known people who keep them in a bare tank with just a bit of water on the bottom. I like to at least use frog carpet on the bottom because they can get better traction to be able to move around and catch their prey. I don't use much in their cage because they can really make a mess when they poop.
Yes would love your frog videos
I love Avocado! ❤
Awwww they're so cute. We just recently got a whites tree frog tadpole. I'm so excited to watch it grow. Would you say froglet care for whites are similar? I am having trouble finding info on froglet care.
I'm not sure about froglets specifically, but Jessica's Animal Friends has a bunch of whites tree frog videos. I think Snake Discovery might have a couple as well? I can't remember which species they had tadpoles from.
@@azuradawn5683 thank you so much! I will check it out
Really enjoying your videos… I’m now looking to get back into the hobby after 20+ years away from it…. Cranwelli or Ornata? Of you had to choose one?
Loves this video it helped me a lot
So glad!
I love fire belly toads they're so neat
Me too!
Id have to say amazon milk frogs. Between the body and eye colors, theyre one of my favorite species. Maybe one day.
Great video
They are super cool for sure! Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching! I’m happy you liked it!
I've been into frogs for a while and horned frogs are my favorite, especialy the chocolate morph.
Awesome!
Hello great video information and rehousing Dayyan
Thanks so much!
Just a couple of tips, if you put black tape around the container it will minimize the impulse to jump into the sides of it and ading springtails never hurts. cheers
Thanks for the suggestions! It’s actually more so that the enclosure is too short. The frogs are leaping and hitting their heads on the ceiling 😥. Yes, the bins with soil could have some springtails! Very true! I just don’t really bother until the adult setups 😊.
Great video great view music Pet frog
Thank you! Very happy you like it!
best paceman frog video
Wow, thank you!
Could you do an in depth care guide for crocodile skinks?
I’ll try to sometime soon! 😊
I love love love my big female pacman frog "Krang" . One of the biggest and silliest personalities in my collection "animal family"
Vid is very helpful & I've actually learned a lot from it...I've subbed to bc of this vid & this is the 3 time I've watched bc of how informative it is!
Thanks for the sub! Glad it helped!
please do a video about juvenile to adult care!!! feeding, cleaning etc:)))
You got it! Juvenile care has been covered here but I’d be happy to show you all Lunchbox, her terrarium and how I keep an adult pacman frog/cycle for winter, etc.
love the vid been into pacmans lately my latest one being a green cornuta and honestly thinking about switching to the foam my green cornuta may be half the size of ur baby
I love sponge filter, makes a great barrier between my substrate and drainage layer for my more fossorial animals.
Great tip! I’m going to be using it for an upcoming dart frog build too!
Aaaw these little guys are adorable 😂 you should stick with the fruit/veg theme and call the orange one melon, mango or pumpkin 🐸
Also, my dream frog would be any species of rain frog / chubby frog! I love their angy little faces 😆
Thank you! Haha great suggestions! Those are some awesome dream frog options!
Im new to pacman frog, just had the, for around two weeks, now they almost 2inches more les😅they cute lol
Hey Reptiliatus, great video as allways ‼️❤️
I have a question, I want to keep tokays, adult duo or trio and I want to ask... What size should the enclosure be? I found one that is 60x50x90 (in Centimeters), would it be enough? I tried to ask on instagram but no reply 😔 Thank you, Jacob ✌️
Loved the video. I owned a fantasy pacman frog, but I got it from a website I didn't know was bad. I kept it in coir, and it died after a month it just never adjusted right.
Btw question about your links the foam is a different brand that you showed in the video, and the link to the leaf litter has only one review on amazon, and it was a 2 star. Would you recommend anything else?
Great video 😊
Thank you!
My favorite that I dream of adopting one day is the rain frog❣❣❣❣
Very cool! I saw Madagascar rain frogs in the wild on my trip in January!
My favorite frog species is pacman frogs. I do have a question I’m keeping my 1 1/2 month old in eco earth is it ok that I’m taking him out every other day to feed? Also he seems to like to bury himself completely is that okay?
