The half-life assassins are at a major disadvantage if they have no maneuverability, no cover. Normally they do all kinds of gymnastics and nonsense around the map. And besides, I don't even consider the assassins to be NPCs if they don't have their optic camouflage
@@notshane3827 not to argue, but how would a crossbow be more effective than The silenced Glock? I imagine they would be slower with firing to crossbow then they do the Glock.
@@Gator159I'd assume the assassins Crossbow's projectiles wouldn't do as much damage as the player's does(for gameplay balance) but it would definitely be higher damage than the Glock. It would be slower than the Glock but it would be way more accurate + higher damage and unlike the player, they wouldn't need to reload. So the assassins would become stronger against stationary targets, specially Vortigaunts and Shock Troopers since their posture makes their heads stay in the middle of their bodies, where the assassins aim at, and a Crossbow headshot is devastating.
Babe wake up, GG Retro Battles is uploading Half Life content again
Alien grunt vs shock trooper please.

and imagine if they could use the Crossbow like they were originally supposed to be armed with, they'd be Otis-tier NPCs.

Their busted grenade throws alone would save them
