I think George was at his best at the Back for the Attack tour. Wicked Sensation is a great album but then he quited Metal and fast tempos (like Kiss of Death or Till the livin´ End) and embraced hard rock and mid tempos.
@@COTTERO I love Back for the Attack (my favorite Dokken album), but the groove of Lynch on Wicked Sensation is equally killer. Sometimes slower tempos make for a heavier sound (Pantera, anyone?).
And when they came home they were relegated to the dustbin by one guy, Mr Cobain. The top of his game is midlevel in the good players world. This guy sucks.

The SOLO in "For a Million Years" is like one of the most melodic Masterpieces, and man does he play it fine here, If's more like a "concerto" [that solo] with true listenable melodicism than anything the swedish guy with the name change has ever done!
And especially if youre really good at it. Ive noticed that many online players are horrible in live settings. Guys like lynch were/are true masters in all settings.
I'm so grateful for these shows being recorded and online to view forever. A lot of old-timers like us whine "the kids nowadays always recording with their phones. Just enjoy the show!" and I want to say "they ARE enjoying the show AND they're documenting it so they can enjoy it 30 years like we're doing with this show right here!"
Saw this gig here in Cleveland, Oh. on 5-11-91 at the long gone Richfield Coliseum. It was Cinderella as headliner, Nelson in the middle & Lynch Mob opening. Richfield held around 21,000, crowd that night was about 11,000 in attendance..George & The Mob were outstanding in their 45 minute slot, simply one of the world's great rock players is George Lynch. Oh yeah, Cinderella & Nelson were o.k. too, :) ;)
Saw these guys in a club in Toronto a few months after the WS album came out. What a great show and it was fantastic being so close to watch George play! WS is one of my fave albums from back then. Too bad this line up couldn't stick together longer.
THE example of heavy music at its absolute Finest; The Look, the Sound, the Songwriting, there just IS NOT a band that does it any Better. Lynchy is a Genius, and the Lineup of Players Here, Shines!, Head and Shoulders above the rest. There’s simply No Contest. Period
Definitely one of the top Metal Bands of the era, along with XYZ. Phenominal guitar and vocals! This was all the good elements of Dokken, plus even better tunes. I love Oni and George. Robert Mason was killer also! Still love the classic Dokken as well.
Truly amazing, lineup and songs are killer!! Saw this tour and following one with Robert Mason in Dallas Texas, band was extremely good. Love both early Lynch Mob albums.
Saw them in a little 3-5 thousand seater. It was before their ABC live show. You could tell touring had taken an effect on Oni Logan's voice but Lynch was absolutely on fire. The crowd went nuts whenever he took a solo.
Yeah it's unfortunate Logan's voice couldn't hold up. He's pretty rough in parts of that ABC performance. I wish he would've been on the second album. I feel like when a band messes with the chemistry of their prime lineup that's when things go down hill.
Caught this line-up at a long defunct club in Las Vegas on Boulder Highway called Calamity Jane's a week or two before the Wicked Sensation album was released. They blew the roof off that sweatbox that night.
Oni Logan, on the Wicked Sensation album, was fantastic. But sadly was unable to maintain that standard on tour. Too bad. But one of my all time fav recordings.
Had George found Oni in 86 ish......and were able to write these songs, they could have gone platinum >> real quick........... That Oni..... What Swagger.....and the delivery of those tuff lyrics......
Saw Lynch Mob on the U.K tour back then October 1990. Brings back great memories. My Love affair with George's playing was well underway! And it still is. Great footage Dude.
This is perfect! I wonder if you have any recording of Lynch Mob with Robert Mason? It would be really cool if you could upload it as well! Thanks for this amazing upload!
This is NOT Osaka but the 3rd date of the Japanese tour in Amagasaki 21.1.91. I had the VHS tape back then and there was about 10 minutes of pre gig footage with the band vviewing a pagoda in the cherry blossom surroundings. Cant put my hands on it right now so this footage will do just fine. Thanks for the upload
Oh ya? That guy might not have known the name of the place except Osaka Dome ,Lol! i was the 2nd raw 'n in front of Anthony. I got Mick's stick :)) Master Lunch'd been really awesome well as now \m/
Please God I pray that someone helps the greatest guitarist ever to find someone to help make live recordings that we can hear clearly over UA-cam and play on our bad sound systems. Amen
+SkullCrusherSR71 There are 2 new ones out now! "Sun, Red Sun" and "Rebel"... pretty sure they are working on #3 as we speak! They are hitting the studio like the 80's when most put out an album a year!
I love hearing people say: “Shit, I can play that.” And then they play the riff perfectly! But the question is, can you create that? Obviously not. (Personally, I don’t care! I rip George, Steve Lukather, John Sykes, and Gary Moore off constantly! They have more talent in their pinkies than I do in my whole body!) The thing is, I know I suck and have no creativity. I’m never gonna be a rock star, but pretending sure is fun!
I gotta ask - is there a better quality document of a FULL Lynch Mob headline show (video OR audio) of the 90/91 Wicked Sensation line-up? Because I haven't been able to locate one if so (but I'm always willing to get turned onto new sources). I would love for someone to unearth that October 1990 Las Vegas gig...
Don, back in his day, had a serious "head phone voice" - combination of vocalist and laser light show - he really took you "into the songs" - what a Force of Nature - thanks Don!!
True, but it's Bulgarian Folk Music, with a cool, Middle-Eastern dissonance and mystique. Very different. I guess they needed some prep time. You know, Oni had to do another line or two. Lol.
Man...they were so good back then. I just got back from seeing them tonight (June 12 2016) and...it was just kind of sad. George seemed drunk, his playing was sloppy as fuck, and everything he said through the mic sounded jaded and bitter. Oni carried the show - he has done a fantastic job of retaining his voice over the years. But as a huge George Lynch fan back in the 80s & 90s, and having never seen him live before, the show tonight was incredibly disappointing.
@@MindsEyeMuseGuitar its the 2004 furious George album. Its 70's cover tracks in a slower tempo to highlight his guitar work. The second to last song ' you shook me' and ' bridge of sighs' song stand out as bluesy.
Wicked Sensation is the most fantastic album George Lynch has ever made. This tour kicked everybody's ass!

Saw them open for Queensryche in Newport probably around this time 90/91... they were fucking amazing!!!
Saw this show in Kansas City Mo with Steelheart. George Lynch sounds great live. Some of his best shows were with Lynch Mob.
Oni could sing like a beast back then....saw them in Philly in 1992....total kickass

XYZ's first album was produced by Don Dokken. He did the backing vocals. You can hear him in the chorus on "Inside Out"
Dokken had better songs than Lynch Mob.
XYZ was great too, both their debut and second albums.
At the 32:00 mark, "Through These Eyes," One of their best.
George Lynch best guitarist ever 💋❤️🔥💯

Saw this tour twice. Great live performance
Love this album. Good ass guitar WORK too. George lynch is a guitar god

Thank you very much for this. I saw them at First Avenue in Minneapolis
George was at his pinnacle!!!

Oni Logan on lead vocals and Anthony Esposito on bass. Mick and Anthony played on the next album as well, with Robert Mason replacing Oni on vocals.

Rob N. Probably an old school ibanez tube screamer
He was using a Soldano at this time.
