its weird a LOT of people these days seeing one peice for the first time ALWAYS seem to think Kuina's dad is evil and I jsut NEVER got that vibe from him
i think its because a simple domestic accident is too plain, it is fair to think about something interesting in the story but yes... we know what oda wanted
Its always funny to me when i watch episode 19 at the end of the flashback cause In Episode 4 Zoro Says "I Set onto the Sea in Search of a certain man But then couldn't get back to my village" and in the manga he says "I followed a Pirate i was after out to sea but i couldn't find my way back to the village" From day one Zoro immediately got lost as soon as he left the village 🤣
Zoro's backstory seems to me to get misinterpreted a bit. You may get people telling you that falling down the stairs is a euphemism for self-deletion. It's not. Nor did her father "help" her down the stairs. It shows that no matter how well prepared and trained and strong you are, you can still be taken out by something as mundane as falling down the stairs. It's also worth noting that basement stairs in older homes can be very steep, making it a lot easier to fall. And if you are carrying a katana down those steep stairs and you trip, The possibility of that going poorly is significantly higher.
@luckylenny87 interesting theory. I've actually considered several theories around Zoro's swords. Not for discussion here of course, they're just getting started.
@@Rutabega_NG (editor here) I'm checking all the comments and passing the safe ones along to Amanda and Katie. I'm current with the manga and spoiler discussion is allowed, it just won't get passed along. I'm interested in all the theories people have if you want to post them sometime.
10:10 Yeah, so get used to that. It's going to happen again. And again. And again. Sometimes it'll be obvious other times it'll sneak up on you. But there will always be tears. It's how One Piece works. You'll hear "big bro" and "big sis" a lot. They're almost never related. Sanji… he feels pretty strongly about not wasting food.

I know, I never did either.
I think it's cause it's such a western trope that it's expected.
@@furynvm what western trope has a dad kill his daughter?

I never think that either,but after I saw Fullmetal Alchemist,I kinda understand.😅
The introduction of Sanji is one of the best of the series, great moment, just remember don't waste food and never provoke a cook on the sea 😎
Some good rules to survive on the sea. :)

Amanda is almost as bad with directions Haha!
The big bro and big sis terms are usually informal and used by delinquent groups to refer to those they respect.
Thank you for sharing! This helps!
he has a special place in his heart for Kuina 4life

Hear me out but could it have been the will of the sword? Seems like Zoro will to be the greatest Swordsman resonated with the WIM and not her.
