I was told by 2 drs that I had a less than a 5% chance of ever having a baby when I was 19 after having a couple of different surgeries! I was 27 when I became pregnant, had a very high risk pregnancy & almost miscarried but I gave birth to a healthy baby boy a week before my 28th birthday!!! I ended up having a hysterectomy at 31 due to medical complications!! My son will be 26 in May & he has been a wonderful blessing since the day I found out I was pregnant!!! I raised 5 children that I didn’t give birth to but they are my kids & they were also blessings!! God does work miracles & gives them sometimes when we least expect them!!!! I never thought of IVF in the way you explained it but it has changed my mind on it!!!
I can attest when my gender dysphoria resolved, and I looked at my reflection in the mirror, just looking into my own eyes, I finally thought I was looking at a woman, which I hadn't felt for years since I was a kid. How we view our bodies is very connected how we feel on the inside.

I am very new to finding you on utube. I’m so thankful to hear you turn ANY age group towards opening up the Bible and not turning directly to other authors. We have ALL the answers in Gods written word the Bible. So many authors that used to be encouraging have fallen so far away. So I thank you for your encouragement in that way. We honestly don’t have time to search out modern day authors and then to do the research of whether they are aligned with scripture. Go straight to Gods words friends!!! It’s all there. 😘
What does scripture say about surrogacy and why did Evangelicals become pro life only 50-60 years ago?
I have a very close Christian friend who did ivf. They didn't want to have any embroys discarded so the spent a lot of time in prayer. When it waa time to harvest they only got 9 which is actually conservative lower. After the 1st 3 days 5 didn't survive. That left 4. The 1st she miscarried but her 2nd and 3rd were her 2 beautiful boys. They are implanting the last this fall. God is good, and there are ways to do it responsibly and with our Saviors help. I understand why true believers tend to not like ivf but I think we need to be more aware and sensitive to our sisters in Christ who have chosen this path. If we believe God is actually sovereign, then we must believe he already wrote this in our story. Why don't we find ways to build sisters in Christ up and let the Holy Spirit do the rest. We can have discussions but this needs to be biblical and loving.

Yes, given the space to speak, some moms who have gone through IVF are tormented by learning much of the facts that are not shared or obvious at the onset of the process. A spiritual hind sight 20 20 vision moment. Not regretting their children, but having remorse for the process. Or tormented with living with the new learned facts and / or Biblical insight, and having to decide what to do with frozen embryos. A discussion that weighs deeply and not being had.
Yes yes yes yes yes about the adoption trauma. Both our kids came to use through adoption at birth but they both deal with emotional and physical (brain change) scars from that traumatic separation from their birth moms. Their situations could not have been avoided, and adoption was best for them, BUT IT DOES affect that baby even when separation happens at birth. I didn’t know it until our daughter started dealing with some learning challenges and some difficulty with self control. I started looking for help from other adoptive parents and found the huge amount of resources that prove this comes from the separation trauma. I was shocked to see my child’s behavior matched perfectly some of the issues of babies and toddlers adopted out of orphanages or foster care. When we were facing infertility we could not bring ourselves to do IVF because of our apprehension about how much the embryos would be respected as real LIVES in the lab by the scientists. I’m so glad we chose not to go that route and instead God brought our. beautiful children!!!

@@livingoilsforlife4973 I spoke with a friend who does Biblical counseling and he shared some resources with me. He and his wife also do foster care so they have lots of experience. I will try to find the names of books when I’m home and can look at my titles
@@livingoilsforlife4973 Here some of the titles I read. (I hav since given away some of the book so there were more I read, but I don’t remember the titles). The Primal Wound (this is not a Christian book but has excellent information on the real trauma associated with adoption), Foster and Adoptive Parenting by Kenneth A Camp (this is my friend’s book, I was amazed to read him describe my child perfectly), I Call You Mine (this is a Bible study but has excellent info too). There were more but I have since shared them with others and can’t remember the titles.

This is helpful. This was a confusing passage to read in the Bible for a long time - not enough to make me question my faith, but it would have been hard to know how to explain/defend it to anyone else.

QUESTION: What would you guys say to Christian’s who have fallen prey to this lifestyle? Someone I know recently announced that her husband has now decided to be a woman, and basically is demanding support of it. And claiming that their self discovery has brought them closer to God and other lies. People have tried to speak truth in love to them, but they only got attacked and judged for questioning it. I’m already not on great terms with the wife, as during the time she was keeping it secret we got into a fight and she claimed I harassed her over a completely different issue, so i don’t think I can do much, but my heart is broken for both of them.
Every person's situation will be different, so there is no one thing you can say. But in all cases give prayer on their behalf. If they refuse to receive truth, let them walk in their way. The prodigal son would not be prodigal if his father chased after him as he squandered his inheritance in vice and sin. That they may not come back to right relationship with the Lord is the risk we take. But it is not by our will but God's Spirit that any should come to him.

Thank you for this! I've never thought about secular people having a low view of the body. So much information to think about. I'd enjoy a part two diving into what the Bible says. I hope and pray that her book helps people and helps lead people to Christ.

The LGBT community has a history of events that have impacted the community. Social movements for the acceptance and rights of LGBT people began as responses to centuries of persecution.
Here are some milestones in LGBT history:
1979: The first National March on Washington for Lesbian and Gay Rights took place, with an estimated 75,000 to 125,000 people marching.
1982: Wisconsin became the first state to outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation.
1970: The first “Gay Liberation Day March” was held in New York City.
The term "transgender" only came into being in the 1960s, though trans people have existed throughout history. The general term "gay" was not used to describe sexual orientation until the mid 20th century.
LGBT stands for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender". It may refer to anyone who is non-heterosexual or non-cisgender. A popular variant, LGBTQ, adds the letter Q for those who identify as queer.
I know some Christians reject yoga as anti-Christian, but the importance of integration of body and mind is what I've been teaching for decades. Women in modern society have been trained to reject their own bodies as grotesque. This is part of the movement that supports abortion and mindless sex. The concept of being kind and compassionate to one's own body has become alien to women.
It's interesting how slowly she is moving to becoming Orthodox.

@@cassiem2528 MY understanding of the Enoch that walked with God is that apparently Enoch did not write the book. The one source I saw said that it appears to be written by a ghost writer and is the reason it is not considered a book of the Bible. I would really like to find a source they have truly researched this subject because from what I am seeing Christians have their shirt in a knot over this .
@Cassie M the whole work is pseudepegraphic. Enochs name is used yet it is not his pen. The tradition probably stemmed from Enoch but the work is a second temple work

So my first question to the host of video is I am wondering is she can bring someone on or herself with the sound teaching on this subject. Someone must have an absolute answers. What do we know about early Jewish beliefs about what the is the “living soul” mentioned in genesis in creation? My understanding is that they did not believe in an immaterial part of the human. But that the breath of life plus the body equals a human being. Is this correct?
“Neshamah is the usual word for “soul” in Jewish speech. It refers to the essence of the person, the truest self. In Yiddish, and in modern Hebrew shaped by it, “a gute neshomeh” is “a good-hearted person”; “a teyere neshomeh” is “a precious soul,” a person of unusual sensitivity or extraordinary devotion.
There is no clear concept of soul (as distinguished from body) in the Bible. The word neshamah actually means “breath,” the noun form of /n-sh-m, “to breathe.” It is first used in Genesis 2:7, when God “blew the breath of life (nishmat hayyim)” into Adam’s nostrils. It thus comes to mean “life-force” or “animating spirit” in various Biblical contexts. The mystics say that the breath God blew into Adam was God’s very own breath. “If you breathe into someone, it is from your own self that you breathe.” One might say what we call “artificial respiration” is in fact a repetition of this initial divine gift.
In the rabbinic period, partially under Hellenistic influence, Judaism developed a full-fledged notion of soul. Here the neshamah, a daily restored gift from “above,” is sent by God to dwell in the body, whose origin is worldly. A daily recited prayer asserts the purity of each soul as it was given and acknowledges that God will one day take it back at the end of life. But that same prayer also affirms that the soul will be restored when the dead are resurrected at the end of time. The rabbis believe that each soul is both unique and eternal (’olam ha-ba*). Between death and resurrection (after a one-year period of purgation, if required by sin) the soul dwells in “the Garden of Eden,” where God visits nightly “to take delight in the souls of the righteous.”
Neshamah alternates in the early sources with two other terms for soul: nefesh, which means “self,” and ruah or “spirit.” Eventually nefesh, ruah, and neshamah (which are collectively sometimes abbreviated as NaRaN in the literature) came to be viewed as three parts or “levels” of the soul. In the Middle Ages, these came to be linked with various neo-Platonic or Aristotelian theories of the tripartite soul, with nefesh as the lowest, followed by ruah, and finally neshamah.
The Kabbalists (Kabbalah*) view the soul as an actual “part of God above”; that which God blows into Adam is the presence of God’s own Self. Nothing humans can do will eradicate this Divine Presence from the deepest recesses of each person’s heart. Some sources try to limit possession of neshamah or divine soul to Jews, but this is inconsistent with the belief in universal descent from Adam and Eve and thus contradicts the most essential teachings of Judaism (tselem elohim*).
The concluding verse of the Psalter (Psalm 150:6) also refers to neshamah, and may be translated “May every breath praise God,” or “Let each soul praise God. Halleluyah!” It is rendered by a midrash* to mean: “Praise God with every single breath you take.”

I find the Biblical view to be quite descriptive of the agent of life and the subject of life. Without God’s own animating spirit energising the most basic and complex of biological chemical and electrochemical reactions, no life can subsist. The more energy or spirit one has, the more life and health one has. I mean no shame by stating this fact. The more energy or spirit you have in this fallen world, the more those who are momentarily or more chronically stuck in a hopeless state will try to deplete it from you. I see this everywhere. We are urged to be a light into the world, and there are energetic or spiritual interactions ongoing at all times. Spirit should always flow and become ever more energised by God, the source of more abundant life. We don’t really need to know how God accomplishes that for it to work, we just need to cultivate a genuine and trusting relationship with him and his spirit. Yet some of us are still curious and want to know more about our bioplasma and biosphere, our midline central vortex and electromagnetic field. Our inner vision is not limited to our brains, it radiates outward in information-carrying biophotonic plasma state fields.
Would you agree men/boys shouldn't wear nailpolish, makeup, dresses? Because people will try going there. So I agree about certain stereotypes, but I think we need to be a tad more specific.

@That other guy, sometimes it's hard to tell the difference between the Holy Spirit's leading and your feelings. It comes with experience and study of God's word. You call yourself an atheist, but do you believe there is a Holy Spirit? If so, it sounds like you're not truly an atheist. I urge you to ask God to reveal Himself to you and to give you discernment. Then repent, acknowledge that Jesus is Lord, and ask him to forgive you and transform your heart. He will forgive you if you truly have a repentant heart. To discern whether the Holy Spirit is speaking to you, you have to be a believer first.

As I said in my original comment, I was actually on an editorial committee for this book when I was a Christian so I know the way you’re thinking. I’d encourage you to look into that question further because for me it led to the realization that there isn’t actually a difference. I’m my view, out feelings are awesome things and we shouldn’t accidentally call them what they’re not. I’d like you and your community to know that we who have it much thought before leaving the church are not doing so haphazardly and we hope you all can give credence to the painful decision it is for us
Why are you now an atheist? It must be hard . Jesus gives me such joy & fulfillment. Oh..your question. When is it the holy spirit..You'll feel peace and a sense of alignment with God's will. Our feelings are all over the place and usually bring stress, confusion or selfishness .
@@NeedSomeNuance, yeah, I get it. Hearing the Holy Spirit often seems like a feeling, and we often mistake the two. That's partly why we are taught not to let our feelings be our masters. Even in the secular world, we can see the wisdom of that: letting our hunger or loneliness lead while grocery shopping is usually a bad choice.
And yes, many atheists have wrestled pretty deeply with different issues before leaving the faith; unfortunately, however, there are many (who are often very vocal), who leave and who haven't thought deeply about any of this.
It's the same with Christians, though: many become Christian without much investigation, but there are also many who have dug deep before converting.
@@NeedSomeNuance I'm curious what led you to become an atheist. I know it was a painful decision. And lest you think I haven't given my faith much thought, you should know that my husband is an atheist. I have a different perspective because of that. I try to see things through his eyes, although I've reached a different conclusion about the evidence. But my marriage has definitely challenged me to study more, pray more and be able to back up what I believe.

I find it to be interesting, love your body but there is a danger of worshiping your body also. Something I find interesting also is we read in genesis that God created, he spoke and there was, until man and it says he formed man from the earth, God took time to make humanity a little different, and he breathed into him the breath of life, could be I read to much into that but I think it is significant. The Breathe of Life is very significant because it's only Given to Humans. It kinda indicates that the Breathe of Life in us is Our Spirit and that might be what kinda constitutes being a Image Bearer of God. It's the Breathe of God in us. Animals and Plants don't have that. It establishes an initial Pre-Fall Relationship with God. That's what I've noticed when the Bible repeatedly talks about the 'Breathe of Life'
I never heard 'you are a soul you have a body'. But if you weren't conceived and gained a body you would never have a soul either, wouldn't you? Or does biblical theology think there are spirits floating in space until the body is formed? (sorry never thought about this before)
There is actually a passage in the Bible that says something like "No human knows how the spirit enters the bones". I think it's in Psalms or Proverbs. I briefly tried to locate it. It's really a mystery that Only God knows. But, you can learn a lot from reading how God breathed the Breath of Life into Adam in Genesis and only then did his body made of Dust of the Earth become a Human with an obvious Spiritual existence. And you can also study the Dry Bones Coming Back to Life in Ezekiel. How God proclaims how he will return the Breathe of Life to the Bones to become People Again. I don't have all the answers. And I haven't studied these places myself. But I just thought of them. But in all, I think the Bible hints that our Spirits are "Kinda" Eternal in both directions. Like we know when we enter the physical world as embryos (fertilisation) that we are given an Eternal Spirit that lasts Forever into the Afterlife, either with God or away from God. But, I believe that our Spirits aren't necessarily like our Individual personalities. They're just a extensions of the Spirit of God, that is made of the Breathe of Life of God. I'm not saying we're God's. But I'm saying, our spirit belongs to God because we inherit Eternity in that form. I think our spirits aren't super personalised. So it may not be that John, Gerald and Harry's (everyone'd spirits) spirits were present within God before Time began. But more like the Breathe of God (Life) has always been in God and that Breathe is what gives Human individuals the unique spirit we have, but animal's don't. Because in Genesis, God only Breathes the Breath of Life into Adam (humans) not any Animals or Plants. Bible talks SO MUCH about God's Foreknowledge which may indicate that the Individual Humans that carry the Breathe of Life (Spirit) were Foreplanned by God. Like all our characteristics and features of our Personality, his Plan for our lives and our physical body are Foreplanned. And the only thing that changed when he Created us on Earth, is that He put HIS Breathe of Life in us, which is our Spirit. That's why we inherit eternal Life in the Spiritual form.
I'm just trying to explain patterns I've seen throughout the Bible. I'm not expert. Try and read the places I've indicated. Especially Psalms 139:11 onwards too😅❤

It's strange that Christians would view the body as bad and the soul as good since the Bible talks so much about the deceitfulness of the heart and desires of the sinful nature. Jesus said that it's not what goes into the body that makes it unclean but what comes out of the heart. And He doesn't mean our physical heart!

I was surprised, hearing two Christian women, to not hear scripture at all. I was hoping for this at least: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV) 19 Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
Nancy gives many valuable ideas. She is correct that the body and its world is not evil. But even accepting the duality of good and evil goes against the idea that God creates perfection like Himself. The tree of knowledge of good and evil needs to be rejected for thinking that it is the knowledge of God. God creates perfection and everything else is nothing because it's never been created but imagined by the prodigal son to be truth. The inheritance of the kingdom, God's truth, love and power, we left behind to make up our own world. Love is not romantic love of individuals but God's love for all of creation. Power is not power over individuals but power with God, taught to us by the Holy Spirit to be beneficial for all. Our decisions through "thy will not my will" takes us to that by surrendering the self to all, which can be thought of as the Self. We are all one with Christ and God. John 17.20-24.
If the body were sacred as a creation of God, Jesus would not have said not to trust it for truth. "Judge not by appearance but judge by righteous judgment." It is the Christ mind, not the brain, that we trust and that through prayer and the Holy Spirit. We use the body like we use our other vehicles to spread the truth that comes to us and to listen to the truth from others. That makes the mission sacred but not the vehicles.
But when you reject the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, aren't you rejecting what God tells us in the Bible? We don't get to vote it in or out of the Bible. Isn't that exalting our own supposed wisdom, above His wisdom, righteousness and truth?
It might be helpful to not refer to unborn babies as "it". We are male or female from conception, so he or she would communicate personhood better than "it" which refers to objects.
Perhaps this really is an example of how, unless we've had the tests and know the sex of the unborn baby, the pronoun 'they' could legitimately be used for a single entity?

I wish that no one would say, "He or she "transitioned". No one transitions. We are still male and female in every cell of our bodies. We lose the issue when we use imaginary and pretend language. It isn't scientific or reality. Pretend (faux) male or pretend (faux) female would be a better term. We devalue our sex when we communicate that we can change our sex like we do our clothing. Sex is innate just like our race or species A woman who has had an hysterectomy and mastectomy because of cancer is still a woman.

There is evidence to the contrary? Surely you'd agree there isn't. However, we do have phenomenon in this world of supernatural occurences (near death experiences, spiritual encounters etc) which would be considered evidence to belief in something more than the natural existence. Atleast, more evidence for the affirmative than for the negative.

"Moral chaos" is when some people do what you disapprove of. It's called freedom. Mind your own business, and live and let live. The opposite is called fascism.

Moral chaos is when a society strays away from the intrinsic moral values that were placed on our hearts by God. As Christians (especially parents) it is our duty to watch over our children to make sure they aren't being brainwashed. As Christians, we're supposed to stand and help people see the light through the lies. :)

It becomes our business when these ideas trickle down to our kids.
Herodias stop quoting the Bible out of of context. Stop making such a big problem about sexuality. THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS N THE WORLD. THERE ARE NO EVIL IN THE WORlD. The Holy Bible says, in Genesis 1:1: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." And in verse 25b, "And God saw that it was good." It was perfect in every way, for God does not make any mistakes. We only make them problems in our brains. We should just give up and BE instead of making up problems.
Yes, God made the world perfect IN THE BEGINNING---you need to read the whole Bible. Sin entered the world and sin will remain in the world until Christ comes again. We will have a perfect and happy ending, but in the meantime we have to deal with evil. Sorry, but that is true.
