Wow! I think that the hunter blew it. He got the Prince close to home but 1. He never really believed the child, 2. You left a disabled child to keep your meat from rotting?!, 3. He was a skilled hunter he could have returned the child for his home safety & resumed his hunting ! He put the fear of his meat rotting over a disabled child’s or human life whether he was a Prince or not! We see here his MORAL compass is broken and it cost him. He carried this boy for a whole week just to leave him, when he probably could have had him back home in a day! He should be glad the king didn’t execute him. At least the farmer wasted no time in taking the boy back home, I believe the farmer would have done that even if he wasn’t the prince especially since he saw the boy was disabled.
This is what's going on nowadays, many people prioritize material things over the lives of their fellow humans, and they don't care what happens to their fellow so far as they will get what they need.
No I do not agree with the King about the hunter locking him up and giving away to the farmer and a farmer should have told the truth
The hunter should have trusted the boy
If the hunter never got the prince out of the forest. He would have died
