I love how no two manga collections are the same. I just started my collection about 3 months ago, only have about 40 or so volumes so far, but from quite a few series. But there is virtually no overlap here other than Kaiju No 8 and I have Vol 1 of Mob Psycho 100.
Blue Period is an amazing series that captures the struggles of art students so so well. As someone who has been to college for art , I have experienced all the things the main character and other characters go though as they try to pursue they’re passion. The feeling of not being good enough, trying to finish work in time, not knowing if you will able to make a living with art but still wanting to try because it’s something you’ve really passionate about. People who haven’t been an artist or haven’t experienced art school won’t relate to it as much as I or other art students probably did. Not to mention all the art featured in this manga is real art by real artists from Japanese art school which is amazing and I’m glad that people who haven’t experienced this can also enjoy the series. That just shows just how well this story has been written
I agree! The blue period manga is such a unique and beautifully written series detailing the realistic struggles of being a young artist! I hope you collect the rest of the volumes in the future!

I just love how you collect. I love how you can tell you enjoy every volume in your collection. I have this habit if it’s not completely I hide it like I am a shamed of it or something lol don’t ask me why I do. Trying to get better and appreciate it all. I thought if you right away when I saw that Initial D was getting a reprinting lol I’m happy for you that you will get to own the full thing!

I love your shelves so much! I like Aya Kanno's writing style too. I haven't read Requiem of the Rose King yet but I did read Blank Slate by her and I loved it. It is only two volumes though so no big commitment. It is about a hit man who loses his memory. That's all I am going to say because it is better to go into it semi-blind. Hope that everyone is doing well on your end! And give ur cat head scratches from me! I love Una so much. Also I just got volume one of Banana Fish so I'm excited to read it!

I love The Apothecary Diaries and Spy x Family. I found them at the library and they have captured my attention. Read volumes 1-6 of Spy x Family. Planning to read volumes 7-9.
Read vol 1 and 2 of The Apothecary. Need to read the rest.

I recommend you to read kuroshitsuji! First volumes are a bit boring but the story gets really great
hope you end up reading no.6, it's one of my favorite series and i'd definitely recommend checking it out (light novels too which are the source material especially)

@purplefrogYT the anime for it is so bad 🥲 if the story slightly interests/ever interested you i'd really recommend the light novels, i can't tell you how much better they are (the author was inspired by banana fish apparently btw, it's a fun lens to read it through) i think the translations for it should come up if you search for "9th-avenue blogspot no.6" if you ever feel like reading them

Yes they are still available! I recommend using a proxy service to import from Japan, the manga will be in Japanese though!
