Welcome to the Tamiya Chassis Battle Series!
The Tamiya Grasshopper 2 takes on the Tamiya Monster Beetle in our fourth head to head chassis battle. Can the Monster Beetle take a third win or will the Grasshopper 2 break it's winning streak?
Three stages each with three laps on ad hoc stages. The fastest overall time over the three stages.....wins!

Great head to head Dom! The little hopper is just too twitchy but it gave it a heck of a try. It ended up closer than I expected!

I thought it might pip the beetle but thst thing is like a train in the deep sand . slow and steady and predictable which makes it so easy to drive . thanks for watching mate . 😊👍

The Grasshopper Achilles Heel is the rear suspension hop as it loses traction.

Albert is in his element here mate, the Monster Beetle is right at home on this terrain.
High ground clearance, nimble and responsive steering, fairly good suspension, and slightly loose traction meaning less chance of the odd roll over (although it did get close once!)
In the bag, a total walk in the park!
Your monster beetle looks a lot happier than mine, and has far less battle scars!
Got to love this model, it's my 'go to' car for much of the time.

Oh man, that was a whitewash again! The big tyres and independent suspension of the MB make it unstoppable out there! No matter how good the oil shocks are, you can't stop a hopper hopping! Great fun Dom and a very well put together video! Cheers! 🍻😎👊👍

I wanted the Grasshopper to win, but the ORV chassis has the advantage of a much better suspension. Good runs!

I am always happy to see these races. I am surprised that the MB top speed is 15. One of my blackfoots does 17-18 with a torque tuned and stock pinion on the same tires
