Mind blown by this video. I always wondered the differences between the three motors which I'll tell you now 99.99 percent of barber's will not know this. This was such an excellent presentation. It's only about Clippers but one of the best presentations I've ever seen. I'm a UX designer and I'm learned from this wonderful video.
I'm justy trying to buy a clipper for at-home use, and I've got the technically-inclined mind-set, and have been trying to sift through the advertising & marketing bull. THIS video, was ABSOLUTELY perfect for me! Helps me investigate further, and understand why are there so many clippers! Thank you!
Thankyou for this video. Very interesting to see and understand why high RPM is not necessarily better than lower RPM motor. Can you please explain if there is any difference and reasons if any between human clipper and pet clipper motors
Good job! (Polish) W Europie jest 50 Hz, 50 x 2 x 60 = 6000 ruchów noża, In Europe it is 50 Hz, 50 x 2 x 60 = 6000 knife moves Silnik rotacyjny można zbudować na różną moc i obroty. Magnetic motors (electromagnet) are bigger, heavier and warmer. To ogranicza ich moc. This limits their power in clippers. Ale ich żywotność może być o wiele większa. Great explanation! Can you comment on the meaning of torque versus speed regarding clippers? I've seen a lot of explanations regarding cars but it doesn't make sense to me in regards to clippers. Thank you!
can you explain to me what is the benefit of having high speed vs power? I need one to just cut all my hair off bald, and I'm wondering which is best to this easiest, thanks
Magnetic clippers tend to be noisy, making a buzzing sort of sound. Pivot motor clippers tend to be much quieter and make more of a deep humming sound.
hi bro thanks for the video can i take it and make it in one video with montage to make it in my channel ??? i want to know if there is no copyright in this video . i hope you answer me Bro
Magnetic motor like the one in Moser 1400 vibrates a lot 6000 prm.But is cheap.Moser primat has a pivotmotor that is a polarisierten schwingankermotor 3000 prm.
"Magnetic" are the worst. The problem is the design. The spring simply wears out over time then the arm starts hitting things so you have to tighten the spring but that reduces the motion of the blade and eventually it just doesn't cut. I wonder if you can buy replacement springs.

i haveta admit, ive been a professional barber for 30+ years & i never knew the differences in the 3 types of motors... so thank u sir
Beautiful. Thanks for the clear, no-nonsense explanation.
best video i’ve seen yet regarding the motors, thanks for this!!
Thank you for explaining the difference between these three types of clippers!!!
very informative. explained very well. hope to see more videos from you.
maybe you can actually explain the pros and cons of each in the next one.
Sweet!! I enjoyed this exposition of modern engineering. Performance and durability is the aim.
Clear, and didn't waste my time. Thank you.
Wow. You should be teacher or something. Thanks for the time invested 🎩
Awesome video. Very informative. This was exactly what I was looking for on this UA-cam search.
nice animation! thumbs up
Interesting! I always wanted to know how clippers worked!
I didn't even know there were other ways to drive the blade other than a rotating motor, neat.

Really well done. Very clear explanations.
good video , maybe some DIY hair cut with clippers video in future ? thanks!
Excelente explicación y dibujos, gracias!
( very technical. me gusta!!! i do not understand the hertz and the RPMs, but this is very informative. nice! )
great video
Such a great explanation
Good stuff yo. To the point. Didnt bate or hang on with fill.
I know that short segmant took way longer to produce. Bless
Good explanation of the various types but no mention of noise!
Which motor is in the quiet barbershop clippers?
I do hope Wahl will make a pivot motor clipper especially 5 star version.
Good explanation
thanks ... very simple explanation
Good job!

Great video
excellent!
Damn that was a great video
Wow. What software did you use? Better yet can you do a video showing how to create the animation?
Good work,thank you
Which is the best for beard trimming? rotary, magnetic or pivot motor?
Thank you very much 😊
You are friggen awesome.

I’m not as smart as him but I would assume the benefit of higher torque would mean the stronger follow through of the blade on a cut
Nice video but there is 2 more motor types linear and brushless what about those ?
You should see the inside of the panasonic er160 or 1160 ist a magnetic cordless at 10000 rpm
can you explain to me what is the benefit of having high speed vs power? I need one to just cut all my hair off bald, and I'm wondering which is best to this easiest, thanks
could you increase the blade speed on a pair of pivot motor ?
You can if the cutting/moving blade is changed to a ceramic blade
Amazing
Next the brands that uses the type of motor.
Thank you a lot
How can one tell the difference between a magnetic and a pivot without opening it up or measuring the blade speed?
Magnetic clippers tend to be noisy, making a buzzing sort of sound. Pivot motor clippers tend to be much quieter and make more of a deep humming sound.
If you hold a magnetic hairclipper like Moser 1400 it vibrates like a earthquake...
hi bro thanks for the video can i take it and make it in one video with montage to make it in my channel ??? i want to know if there is no copyright in this video . i hope you answer me Bro
thank you
perfect👍👏👏👏
Babyliss uses Pivot Motor... It's fast and very torquey...
thanks
Mystery solved. :o)
Super helpful but why was the audio so trash??
I'll take a half way decent set of rotary any day, they'll cut through anything.
Magnetic motor like the one in Moser 1400 vibrates a lot 6000 prm.But is cheap.Moser primat has a pivotmotor that is a polarisierten schwingankermotor 3000 prm.
Cosa guardo alle 3.30 di notte
I just randomly thought how electric clippers work.
what is beter
Rotary motor
