In 1952
Martin Niemöller was a German Lutheran pastor and theologian. Niemöller was an anti-Communist and supported Adolf Hitler's rise to power. But when, after he came to power, Hitler insisted on the supremacy of the state over religion, Niemöller became disillusioned. He became the leader of a group of German clergymen opposed to Hitler. In 1937 he was arrested and eventually confined in Sachsenhausen and Dachau. He was released in 1945 by the Allies. He continued his career in Germany as a cleric and as a leading voice of penance and reconciliation for the German people after World War II.
The US Holocaust Memorial Museum quotes the following text as one of the many poetic versions of his poem.
"First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out-because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out-because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out - because I was not a Jew."

The frustration of history repeating itself
Thank you. This helps me to articulate to fellow Christian minorities in US who are being brainwashed into mindlessly condemning Israel. I'm so grieved when I speak to people - they shut down, they get angry, they break into vapid slogans from CNN. I'm praying fervently. God will send His Spirit in these days
@kimmyj1512, Yes there are people brainwashed and misled by CNN and Fox, both sides of the aisle, but biblically they can be linked together as they are spirits of deception. REVELATION 3:9, tells us that there are those who calls themselves Jews, but are of the synagogue of satan. GOD has already been pouring out HIS spirit in these “Final days”, most people know that things are terrible and they don’t seem to be getting better and the future looks bleak, and this is in the secular setting. HIS word is what strengthens our relationship and FAITH in HIM, and Prophecy is about 1/3 of the SCRIPTURES. HIS word cannot return void. Everything prophesied has manifested itself. So it does not matter about others believing or not believing, we still speak the TRUTH, and LIFE, to a dead decaying culture and world. Do not be deceived is a warning from JESUS CHRIST. 2ND TIMOTHY 3.

Correction: Jesus is the most influential teacher in all history. He is the one that pointed to 'loving your neighbour' , etc.
Jesus came after Hillel. He learned the principle from Hillel. And then, as you point out, Jesus spread this teaching to the whole world.

ROMANS 1, informs us that “We can look at the invisible attributes of nature and know there is GOD, and HE is the CREATOR. We live on a sphere that is floating in air, and gravity holding us down, with two spheres giving us day and night and LIFE through light. It shows that a tremendous amount of thought combined with creativity and omniscience and omnipotence and omnipresence are at work. The supernatural works and wonders just stopped with 🌍. ROMANS 1, tells us “Man suppresses the truth in his unrighteousness,” denying JESUS CHRIST and GOD, so they can glorify, themselves, other men and disobedience and evil. But in their heart they know that HE exist for GOD has written it on their hearts. There is only one name JESUS CHRIST.

Jesus objectively was not the Messiah. The Messiah doesn't need two tries to fulfill Messianic prophesy. I don't mean to be rude, but Jesus was a false Messiah. Now this doesn't mean he wasn't God, there is no way to prove or disprove whether he was God, so go on believing he was God, I have no problem with that. The thing is, God and the Messiah are mutually exclusive, according to Judaism at least. In Judaism one has to fulfill all of Messianic prophesy, not just some. Jesus didn't not even fulfill the most important Messianic Prophesies. The only way Jesus was the Messiah is if you reinvent what the Messiah was/is. There is absolutely no way you can consider Jesus the Messiah if you are basing it on the Old Testament which is what one must do. He didn't kick out the Romans and reestablish the Kingdom of Israel. He didn't bring world peace, he didn't even bring peace to his people, the Jews.

HIS ministry EXPOSED THEM, as it EXPOSES everyone else. So that is what you do, which is what the Pharisees, said and did. when they accused HIM, and couldn’t buy HIM the saying HE was of satan. JESUS said “Can satan be against satan? A House Divided shall fall. JESUS CHRIST came to HIS people FIRST, they DENIED HIM, they chose a THIEF over HIM. What is wrong with you that you are telling a lie, or are misinformed to make a False statement that Is Untenable??? Clearly trying to sow seeds Of Doubt, “I am not saying that he is or isn’t God, but it cannot be proven. That trick was used in the GARDEN with Eve, create DOUBT. Scripture is proving everything. “ To those who are perishing, spiritual matters are foolishness As I said We have the Old and New Testament. They CRUCIFIED HIM. JESUS said “First To the Jew then the GENTILE. The Gentile can be GRAFTED IN! You are terribly wrong, the same Jews that praised HIM, “Hosanna”, were the same ones a few days later, demanding HIS DEMISE. Pilate who probably worshipped many gods, did not want to condemn JESUS to death, he said “I have the power over life and death, JESUS’S response was “The only Power you have is given to you from up above, The ones who brought you before me are guiltier of the greater crime”. REVELATION 3:9, “There are those who call themselves Jews but are of the Synagogue of satan, the world is still here and it has perished and it is decaying, so prophecy is still being fulfilled and HAS to be, because the FATHER and SON are ONE, the WORD cannot be returned VOID. JESUS is the ALPHA And OMEGA, the FIRST and LAST, prophesied in ISAIAH at least 700 years before HIS coming, and the rejection and affliction HE would face. GENESIS 3:15 “ And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed ; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heal”. GOD already had a backup plan, for death being brought into the world and the fall of ADAM(man and woman) the SECOND ADAM, JESUS CHRIST would CONQUER SIN And DEATH, HIS HEEL CRUSHED the Roman Empire, and HE was BRUISED and CHASTISED, just as prophesied in ISAIAH. HE IS THE MESSIAH, Rome is prophesied about in DANIEL. So what is WRITTEN in the Name of JESUS CHRIST Has come to pass, and NOT RETURNED VOID. So it does not MATTER what you say, and JESUS DIED for YOU as Well, whether you believe or not. HIS LOVE, GRACE and MERCY is not to oppress or demean you or anyone for that matter, but to GUIDE and PROTECT them in these tumultuous and trying END of DAYS. The day Quickly grows darker, and GRACE and SALVATION are open to you also.

I think those who left Islam have death threats, hanging over their heads. But millions who came over illegally, through people smugglers are male migrants who promote Islamist ideology. People who were refused asylum, who stayed. People who hate the West go to mosques where hatred is preached. Those should be ejected! Deportations should be common place. When “refugees” fail to assimilate, they have no room in the West. The asylum seekers must prove, demonstrate that they are fully assimilated members of our society and if they start to march for terrorists. Deport! Deport! Deport!

I recommend Mosab Hassan Yousef. He's the eldest son of one of Hamas' founders; slated for leadership all his life. He was in an Israeli prison by the age of 18. Find a long clip. Find a clip in which his audience is sophisticated. He smart, the issues are complex, & he has so much to say he appropriately adjusts his talks to the audience. Examples? What he says on college campuses has overlap, but isn't exactly the same, as the speeches he's given at the UN.
Zion is mentioned 152 times in the old testament as the title of Jerusalem. 700-1000 BC It is mentioned 7 times in the new testament. Either way, the word Zion was defined accurately long before Nazi Germany and Fascism came along. :)
