Let’s be honest, the only ballerina on the show was Chloe.
From the ogs yes but defo not the entire show Brynn, kalani, elliana, Brady, lilly and possibly a few others are amazing at ballet

This weird misconception that Chloe is some sort of ballet prodigy is weird. People who are very successful in Ballet are very technique oriented. Chloe didn't have strong technique. Brynn is much more suited for Ballet, same with Kalani. And in the latest season, just about everyone was more suited for Ballet than Chloe. Elliana, Lilliana, Brady, Savannah, etc

She did that so that they can really work and concentrate on that missing technique... in ballet you don’t have to emote that much and technique is much more important.. so they can work on that well.. It’s more about the lessons than the competition itself..

Can we just appreciate Kendall in this dance? We all know that Kalani is a beautiful techincian, and perhaps shined more. But Kendall looked great too, for a style she doesn't dance too often. Preparing a ballet dance in a week is hard, expecially if you're undertrained.

I think this is the best that Kendall has ever looked.
All drama with the duet aside, this choreography was stunningly beautiful. I’m pretty sure this is one of the best duets that have ever aired on this show. They both danced beautifully and really were pleasing to look at on stage.

Dance Moms isn’t a dance show purely, hence why they aren’t Broadway dancers. They’re entertainers, and probably spent more time acting and modeling too instead of ballet because that’s what’s popular and entertaining atm.

Contemporary Ballet in not Pointe, and there is a serious medical side to pointe of your feet have to be done growing to not do sage to them. The studio I went to didn't even offer Pointe until the age of 16. Plus, this dance was originally choreographed with Jojo in it who is definitely not enough for pointe.

Push and pull is my absolute favorite duet ever done on dance moms. It's so beautiful and so well choreographed. It has the best music and the best costuming and it's just perfect. JoJo could never have done this dance. Not in a million years. I feel like this whole thing was done for drama and Kalani and Kendall were always meant to do it because this is just so so perfect like.. there's no way it was just a happy second option.

Reason they were stressed is because none of them take their ballet seriously, if they trained in ballet regularly at the aldc they would have improved technically

The fact that Jojo was humble with herself and addressed that she wasn’t as advanced with ballet shows that she has the right attitude for the business she’s in.
Given the floor work, I don't know if you could consider this ballet. I dance classical ballet and the closest we get to the floor is when posing between things. A beautiful routine, not necessarily ballet.

This is one of the best dances on the show I love it! The pacing, the choreo, the music, the little intricate moves that ballet is all about... Really shows off Kalani's ballet talent and Kendall really benefitted from the technique heavy dance, honestly love this dance so much! I always forget this clip is about Jojo leaving because I love the dance so much, it's up there with Kendall and Maddie's final duet together, I could watch it all day
