@@TheGundamswordI wouldn’t say “largely based” considering they look nothing alike and have no build similarities, the most similar thing is Nemesis Prime (which is nothing like TFP Nemesis and is done a lot worse in TLK) and Prime’s sword (which is just a plain sword instead of the Star Saber) 💀 Also TFP’s Unicron’s storyline was also way different, the only similarity is that Unicron was inside the Earth. 😭

This movie features my favorite Transformer, Hound. Actually based on another character named Bulkhead. But with John Goodman voicing him hes basically a giant robot Walter from Big Lebowski.

Mentioning the military training you mentioned, its not canon, but I 100% believe that Cade went military after school (probably maintenance) and when he got out he started building. It makes sense for his calm demeanor, techy/maintenance skills, and his marksmen ship.
A little correction: Leadfoot was the red NASCAR from the last movie and the leader of the Autobots' Wreckers unit. The footage showed that he too was killed similarly to Ratchet by Lockdown, a bounty hunter unaffiliated with either side of the war who is working for the Creators of the Cybertronian race (in the lore of the comics and cartoons, the Creators are called the Quintessons, and one of them, Quintessa, will appear in the next movie).
The next one is terrible and SUCH a missed opportunity. Grimlock (the T-Rex) supposed to be the main character of the film. He would have gone through a major change about halfway through the film once his memories and capabilities were restored. He's revealed as Volcanicus Prime. Him and the other Dinobots were the Guardians of the All-Spark (from the first movie) and were with it when Megatron caused it to crash land. And Lockdown's ship was originally their ship. Sadly...that's not the movie we got..
That would have been awesome! Why did they go with the other travesty? I think that would have helped the entire series without needing to reboot (no hate for B, love that movie)
@@Parkster1812 I think it had something to do with not using the human stars enough. Yeah.. That's why Marky Mark ended up being the last knight instead of Grimlock. As if anyone in the world or in their right mind would have preferred that. If you ever read the entire outline of what the movie was originally supposed to be, it'll make you sick because it sounds SO good. I think it could have been Bay's best movie. Not his best Transformers movie. His best movie period..
Honestly, what pissed me off the most about Age Of Extinction is the fact that they killed Ratchet. I do love the inclusion of Hound, Crosshairs and Drift. Also, please do a react to the three seasons of Transformers Prime and the concluding movie called Predacons Rising.

For what this movie is and what it gave us it was an interesting take on the dinobots from the cartoon they were way way different still have the same names and then a couple new ones dinobot versions this one's my favorite for what it is and Mark Wahlberg doesn't phenomenal job same with the girl the storyline with the humans was a little bit more complicated but I loved it though❤
This movie was funny. Grimlock suppose to be on par with Optimus and Megatron. Actually in some account a brute force. Apparently Michael bay doesn't know this.

Optimus Prime's knight design is largely based on TFP Optimus. And a good chunk of TLK story is from the show too.

this is my favorite film in the Michael bay franchise
this is my personal fave. Lockdown is cool. Prime is still struggling with the betrayal of Sentinel and humans. DINOBOTS! And evil Frasier. :)
A little bit of trivia that wasn’t in the movie: Drift (the “samurai”) used to be a Decepticon.

They killed ratchet and leadfoot separately in the film but the rest were killed off-screen. Just to clear things up.
