Vero Beach is Fabulous! As Derek mentioned I was on the Grand Opening Team for Disney's Vero Beach Resort and happy to share it!
We spent a week in a cottage. There was so much to do n the area. You need a car. We went to local restaurants or cooked in our cottage. It was relaxing and fun.
There are many things to do there!! All you have to do is ask for ideas! Also, Cast Members there are 2nd to none! We are going for 10 days starting Labor Day weekend. We bring our kayak but you can do tours or rent from many places.
Well Lord Derek, now I know who to ask about restaurants for my upcoming Vero Trip!
OMG we fell in love with our one bedroom week stay😯🥰 We enjoyed the beach, pool, on property restaurants, tastings, paper airplanes ☺, staff!!🥰 and just relaxing on our patio listening to the ocean. We will never own there because of dues but we got lucky and got the week before Christmas 🎄. SHH stop talking about Vero😆 Thanks for sharing ☺🏖🥰
We bought to relax after visiting WDW in 1996! We have a subsidized dues contract. I remember Linda from the sales team. It's like being on a cruise with all of the activities. Wind and Wave Market is the only place we eat we love the make your own salads. Wonderful off site restaurants.
Great location to relax!
We stayed at Vero Beach on the back end of a WDW trip and it was great. It felt like another vacation in itself. A great way to decompress from the Disney experience.
We are staying at Vero this week and agree with you all! I love it here. Disney at its finest!
Absolutely love Vero. I know exactly what your taking about coming over that overpass!
Definitely not for everyone, but it worked for me. 25pts HH + 25pts VB = Zero regrets.
We are staying at Vero Beach for a couple nights in April before our cruise and I am excited for it! Thanks for the content!
Vero Beach is really where I want to go; I don't know I've just not been interested in the parks after our Spring Break Trip which did not go as planned. I love that touch of Disney but I think I need a vacation of slowing down a bit.
TRIP REPORT: My husband and I stayed for a week at Vero Beach in 2019, our first time. Vero is serious about its turtles!
We stayed at Vero Beach so we could experience the nighttime *“Turtle Watch” program. This was a program requiring its own separate reservation (only a limited number of folks are allowed each session) and was held twice a week during the summer if I recall correctly. The program began with our group (maybe 20 of us?) gathering at 9pm to meet a Disney staff member and included education about saving the sea turtles followed by a midnight walk on the beach with night goggles provided by the staff, so you could see the sea turtles (who generally come up on the beach at night). This is all organized and led by Disney employees. It was a fun and unique experience! p.s. yes I saw one sea turtle returning to the ocean…
On another day we drove to the *Kennedy Space Center (less than an hour drive) and took the bus tour they offer (separate reservation and fee), after which which we did some shopping at the gift shops. That year was the 50th Anniversary of the moon landing, which is why I wanted to visit the Kennedy Space Center. Vero Beach was a great place to stay.
I made use of the spa service by getting a mani-pedi; very nice. And of course the bar (on the second floor) - so relaxing sitting out on the 2d floor balcony with my adult beverage enjoying the sea breeze. We visited the local mall and bought some groceries and ate at one of the mom-and-pop restaurants. We were unaware of the really good restaurants the Kriegers mentioned, but maybe next time. Vero does have a lot to offer and is a relaxing vacation for a few days.
LOVE Coastal Comforts!
Never been but sounds like a nice get away place to relax!
I'm going with my family October 28th -31st and we are so excited!
I live in Vero and vlog from the resort all the time. My happy place and my favorite wave to surf on the east coast.
Going back for my second visit this year. It's a peaceful way to spend vacation. Me, books and water.
We have visited Vero beach and I can’t wait until we can stay there
Way to ruin a moment , Pete! Paul seriously owes you one next year you get all choked up. hahahahaha
We are booked in just before Xmas. Looking forward to it for 3 nights.
We do a week at Vero every year. We prefer the summer months when ocean temperatures are best but the winter brings a special and unique charm to the resort. We have gone with dozens of family members and kids of all ages. When asking the kids what they would like to do again, WDW or Vero, the kids always choose Vero! Wind and Waves is inconsistent. We’ve had amazing meals there and mediocre. The same platter from one day to the next could be completely different.
This is very informative. I was always curious about this resort. Hopefully, you release a room tour or resort tour video too!
Fiasco posted a video of he and his lovely wife at VB about a year ago.
I happened to be staying there at the time and saw him videoing.
I love Vero Beach.
We have only gotten to spend a day at Vero Beach as a local when we were staying at our home in Palm Bay just about 25 minutes north on A1A. We fell in love with it. We had a stay booked in June 2020 that we had to cancel because of the Disney closure. We haven't gotten to re-book that yet but definitely plan to. Amy and Paul, did you go through the tunnel to the recreation area on the west side of A1A? They have a basketball court, tennis courts and other things that I can't remember since it's been about 10 years since we were there. The big restaurant was called Shutters and the small place was called the Green cabin at the time.
I love these videos , can you post a typical list of activities you mentioned?
I enjoyed hearing more about Vero Beach resort. Twenty plus years a DVC member and have not been there! It may be time.🤔 BTW, where is the pole for marking located??? Thx!😉
Going in November.Any recommendations for the bars/grills and restaurants on the shore other than the FANTASTiC Ocean Grill?
Never been but one day.. I’m afraid we’ll fall in love and buy with those hefty dues. I love the beach My husband is a suck for relaxation and doing nothing. He’s fine sitting by the pool at WDW and never stepping in a park
I keep noticing that Paul is always glistening (gracefully, of course 😆). Do they seat him under a lamp that generates a lot of heat? Good show btw!
That’s the only explanation I can think of other than he is doing the show under duress
Yeah - All the skin products in the world but my forehead can still wax a car… 😅
There are no reservations at all!!
I guess my family and I are the only people that can’t stand the lobby smells LOL! We are sensitive to perfumes and it’s way too strong in our opinion! We get horrible headaches from it 😔 The smell like literally gets stuck in my nose haha
Big hairy panda more like it
Paul you are pronouncing "Vero" incorrectly. It is "Vee-row"
I just came here to say how gorgeous Amy is.
Literally just made my week.
And coming from someone whose profile picture looks like a super model.
Vero is only good if you dont know where good beaches are in Florida
