    Hi Bryan,
    Your videos are very informative.
    I just started out with Webull and tried to buy stocks worth a bit less than AUD 100 and it declined saying the first trade should be of AUD 500. just wanted to check with you if it's the case

    • @BryanInvest
      @BryanInvest  9 місяців тому +1

      Hey there! Yeah, in the ASX there is a rule called the Minimum Marketable Parcel which says your first investment of any stocks needs to be at least $500. After the first purchase, you can buy in smaller increments. So if you use a chess sponsored broker, you will have to follow this rule. If your broker is not chess sponsored then you can skip this rule.

    I signed up to Webull only 4 weeks ago. It has been an absolutely seamless experience thus far. Only annoying thing is the FX at the moment. Also haven't tried to withdraw as yet. Will try that next week to see if its not a hassle. Limited US options strategies available. Brokerage very low.

    Great video as always, I've started using Webull as a result and enjoying it. The comment you made about Chess and owning the US stocks is interesting. I wanted to start using the Webull AU app to implement DRP on the US stocks I have bought through Webull AU. But not I realise it doesn't have the function. Is it because we don't technically own the US shares that means we cant set up DRP to work on US stocks? Or is it just that Webull AU doesn't have that function and other brokers do?

    • @BryanInvest
      @BryanInvest  4 місяці тому +1

      Hey Nick, great question and observations. Every ‘Aussie’ broker that offers US stocks won’t have the function because Chess is unique to Australia. Even US citizens don’t have access to the chess model so they don’t own their stocks directly like us. All their brokers run on a custodial model.

    • @nickgstone
      @nickgstone 4 місяці тому

      @BryanInvest thanks for the response, I appreciate it. New to this, all a bit hard to understand.
      So if I want to set up compounding, I need to buy Aussie stocks? Is there no way for aussies to set up DRP/compounding on US stocks? Can we invest through a US broker or is that not possible…?

    Hi Bryan
    I bought my first shares this week before I seen this video through stake.
    I have since registered with Webull after seing this.
    Will it problematic for me to use 2 brokers?
    Transferring shares over to another broker- is there charges to do this ?

    • @BryanInvest
      @BryanInvest  Рік тому +1

      Hey David, I do the same thing so I wouldn’t worry about it. I have US stocks with SelfWealth, Stake, and WeBull. It’s not problematic at all. You just have to remember how many brokers you have during tax time if you receive dividends or sold any stocks for profit.
      You can transfer the shares but personally I just keep multiple brokers open because the fees are constantly changing between them and I like to have the flexibility to go back to a certain broker. Plus it’s a pain in the butt to transfer and involves fees. If you’re really keen to transfer, I’ll leave an article down below how.

      @BryanInvest  Рік тому +1

      Hey Mike, I’m still using WeBull and it’s going well so far. The only thing I’m disappointed in is that they increased their FX fee to 50 bps so it’s gone from being much cheaper to just a bit cheaper than it’s main competitors. In terms of security, it’s as safe as it can be with the strict Australian laws. It’s also not just a random start up, it’s one of the most popular online brokers in the US, HK, and Singapore. So in that sense, I would say it’s a ‘good company’.
