Spot wasn't having a breakdown in that second verse. Gaster started fading at the end of his first verse and Spot went to confront him in sort of like a darkness dimension where Gaster can only exist due to his "condition". The whole Spot going into different dimensions was him trying to find Gaster while being picked on by Gasters followers/crownies hence why Spot was pissed in his second verse when he finally found Gaster
Which I think is exactly what Gaster wanted. To push him and test him, to see if his multiversal abilities could fix him
The "speak in hands" line is a reference to Gaster's name and text font. Most dialogue associated with him is in a font called "Wing Dings" (The W.D. part of his name) and has hand signs and other symbols replacing the letters.
Gaster is also assumed to be the Man Who Speaks In Hands that the River Person warns a out

Gaster was the first royal scientist of the Underground who built the CORE, a giant machine that grants power to the whole Underground, but one day he fell inside of it and had his body destroyed through space and time, rendering all memory of him just completely missing
also it's the weird language/font that his captions were in

3:18 pretty much, Gaster got mostly carried by the Fandom of undertale through either an animation or comic of either who's project or boosted up as just a Easter egg for people to explain and show around the web. Regardless of anything else that could be possibly canon about that guy, he is left out of the Blue by the Creator Toby Fox
The third entry line is probably refering to the third Spider-Verse movie, since it was delayed and had some speculation of being canceled a few months back.
W.D Gaster built whats known as The CORE in undertale, he was the underground's royal scientist who fell into "his creation" and essentially shattered across dimensions and existence, becoming unknowable and hidden. You can only find him by tampering with Undertale's FUN value, and then suceeding a small chance to find a door leading to his room, when you interact with him he vanishes after smiling.
You can find his followers through differen't FUN levels as well, they're gray and lifeless, one talks about Gaster and how he shouldn't say any more since its 'rude to talk about people who are listening..." And similar things to others, one claiming he's holding a piece of him, and a river boatman in undertale says to "beware the man who speaks in hands." which we assume refers to Gaster, as he is Wing Dings Gaster and Wing Dings speaks in symbols like hands.
Gaster has his own theme hidden in the files as well, and when you do a bit of tampering with the game's code when you boot up the game you get distorted gaster music and wing ding text, which is a test entry called ENTRY NUMBER 17, talking about darkness and how his next test is going to be interesting.
He exists in-game, but in lore he's split and unknowable, with seemingly only those who live outside the boundaries of the game's world know of him.
Toby Fox, undertale's dev, essentially confirms nothing about him but keeps adding secrets relating to him but never saying anything about him directly.
Technically speaking, he has absolutely no canon events, outside of falling into the CORE... But even that was erased from history, along with himself.
Gaster addressing Spots “Third entry” is just referring to the abrupt “to be continued” at the end of the second film

All these are true but I would like to add some stuff because I’m REALLY familiar with gaster lore, he is fully canon more so OUR interaction with him as the player isn’t known if it’s canon or not, the ferryman has a rare dialogue where he says “beware the man who speaks in hands” and in the true lab by doing some stuff beforehand we can find a research log labeled “darker yet darker” which is written in wingdings, the log predates alphys time working as the royal scientist meaning it was the one prior which we know is the same one who fell into the core meaning it is canon writings of gaster
The TRUE fuckery of it all is that TECHNICALLY nothing and everything about gaster is canon, since he is split across all timelines and all multiverses finding ANYTHING canon about him technically speaking is from a different timeline and not the “main” one as for gaster there is no “main timeline”
As for deltarune we do have 3-ish things that hint at gaster, 1 in chapter one being a FUN event room just like gaster’s void room where a “mysterious man” hands us an egg, for reference “gaster” that we meet in the void is actually called “mystery man” in the code, then after that if you stand by the mysterious bunker at the bottom of the town you hear noises very similar to the darker yet darker logs however that could be a coincidence and just be noise, that last one and the most definitely one is if you try to use your phone in the dark world in certain areas (like spamtons junkyard) you hear the OG “darker yet darker” this is interesting since spamton was supposedly corrupted by a phone from a man not of their world and yet we hear what is clearly gaster audio near him

Hear me out, as you said he's split in timelines so he's the true Schrodinger cat-person,
He's canon since he's no longer there to interact with the main timeline to be considered canon but he left stuff to prove his existence
He's not canon since he was never there since he "retconned" himself from the Undertale world after the incident and the only that remains there are gaster ester eggs
The log wont get lost is refeering to spot's third movie being pushed back

Yesterday was Rap Battle Day, so a *ton* of rap battles you should check out released.
The whole concept behind Gaster (in a very short oversimplified story) is that he was a cut character from the videogame Undertale. And the canon explanation for why he's not in the game anymore is that he was a scientist who accidently wiped himself from reality. The game has several hidden/rare easter eggs that allude to Gaster, but he never directly appears anywhere in the game. Most of the hype surrounding him comes from fans who were interested in the mystery of his backstory/ lore.
This one was great cause we got both JT flexing his insane range and Shwab going full on creepy!
the WD in Gaster's name stands for Wingdings (hence WEB-dings), the symbol joke-font. The same way Sans speaks in Comic Sans and Papyrus speaking in Papyrus Script, Gaster "speaks" in Wingdings (and thus is incomprehensible). They're a character who is only ever referenced and never directly met, with very little actual canon thus far and mostly just theories about them. What is pretty much known is that due to a science experiment gone wrong ("Couldn't build a CORE" with the CORE being the main energy source in the Underground that was succesfully finished and maintained by Alphys) they got stuck in between dimensions and are now a living glitch in the matrix. The glimpses of him that still remain end up creating a sort of multiversal cult of followers and he becomes known as the Man Who Speaks In Hands (as in literal hand symbols).
If you've seen interstellar, his whole situation is kind of like that bit where the guy is in the fifth dimension and can only interact with people through cyptic and indirect means like communicating through a one-way-mirror.
the finished game diss is actually about Deltrarune, not Undertale, since a lot of people believe Deltarune's overarching villain will be Gaster.
Lastly the canon event bar is insane because all of the aformentioned lore about Gaster is based on something Undertale has called a FUN Value. Basically every time you play the game a dice is rolled and what it lands on determines if one of the possible random Gaster references even appears in the game. This means that in addition to the obvious canon event joke of "Gaster has never properly appeared in an official toby fox game", it also means he's literally never had a Canon Event in the spiderverse sense of it being guarenteed to happen sooner or later in a given timeline.

The thing is you need to know a lot about the character's lore, otherwise you wouldn't get the disses. For example if you were a fan of Spot, Then you would understand Gaster disses and think that Gaster won. And Vise Versa.

Spot: a fellow Scientist that was hit in the 2018 film Spider-Man Into the Spiderverse by a bagel returning in the 2023 film and supposedly will return in 2024 but he won’t since it’ll be delayed hence the line of it
