@Quirin M. 10 years is a risky long time to work on a rig kid. If you have to do it, work 1 year, save the 120 grand, use that money to go into a skilled trade. Your body and life will thank you later. I'm a Tool and Die Maker, and I make 100 grand a year, and I just chill inside a clean factory playing on computers to cut out parts basically. It's worth looking into.
Such a silly thing to do. Why put your head anywhere near there, its not like you're going to be able to see down there, I was just waiting for high pressure oil or water to come out and take his head off, but it was machinery which is even worse as he should definitely expect that. And then one of his co workers walks the wrong way around the drill, right past the same thing that squished the life out of his colleague. Absolutely stupid, stupid, stupid! And it cost one guy his life. I dont fully understand how oil rigs work yet even I could see the dangers. It's a dangerous job for sure and I'm sure tiredness and fatigue comes into it also, but hiring that are too stupid to keep themselves safe is also a massive part of it.
@@atourdeforce i would assume its not meant to move that way because both of them clearly dont expect it to move and its so narrow in there with machinery everywhere i think an accident can happen nearly everywhere in there. But i could be wrong and they both just forgot it
@@yeeee6184 No it's definitely supposed to move in there, something malfunctioned or somone accidentally hit a control lever. He shouldn't have had his head anywhere near there It was probably tiredness or he wasnt thinking, but all in all it was the persons own error at the end of the day.
Yeah, never mind. I change my mind about wanting to work on a oil rig..
It’s a good time 🤙
Well there are loads of other jobs to do that are less dangerous within the industry. that are less dangerous.
Somebody needs to do it it’s great if you have no life goals and don’t mind not having a life really
The Russian oil rigs are just terrible 0 maintenance, running all the time 24/7 that's why accidents happen there so often

He definitely died right...
Shit was crazy
From the fps of the footage we cant know if the pipe had enough velocity to kill him. Dude got some bones crushed for sure, though
I was yelling omg get the fuck out of there!!!!!!!!!!!! Definitely dead.
It seemed like that pipe had a mind of its own, look how it changed the direction, straight into that guy, like it did it on purpose.
2:52 That helmet had one job.
@@wilmerstall3933 oh without a doubt

Best case scenario - quadriplegic. But the question is, is that better than death? Probably not as far as quality of life goes...

Poor guy shitty crew
Yeah, heavy machinery doesn't spare any hard worker. It kills instantly. What a terrifying way to go
Ok but that one where the drill came up and our and fired off screen like shot directly onto a guys face it’s lethal man
At 1:30 did that poor guy in the bottom left hand get that broken shaft in the chest?😳 this is a special breed of men here Jesus Christ

Their "army" isn't something you'd wanna join pal. That's a nation that's collapsing itself just like the Soviet Union.
