I must say, is a very nice well fabricated machine. I have a Huth bender from 1994 and now this MK5 is another excelent complement...from 6 to 74MM two very good pieces of enginnery...Congratulations David (sorry my poor English)
In theory, it could, however it depends how hot you heat the steel. The former it is bending around is aluminium, which has a much lower melting point than the steel. Also, it would be quite awkward and fiddly to put the hot steel in the clamp etc. The only heating we normally recommend is annealing aluminium.
@@usefultoolsukI used light heat on SS sheets that i formed, such as arches or many round shapes, and it reduced spring back almost 90%, which made it easier to from. I didnt know if this would apply to tube and forming.

As a matter of interest, is there a best place to position the stainless tubes welded join? My guess is on the inside of the bend, or perhaps it doesn’t actually matter much.

How do you know it is 180 degrees, are there a degree markers, or is it just 'close enough'? Oh please, next time don't video in the middle of the motorway, lousy background music.

Usual rule of thumb is on the neutral position: top or bottom relative to the plane of bending

good bender but is very expensive & needs to include a wiper die that would fix the rippling
