Und: Diese Anleitung zeigt alle Argumente, die gegen eine SRAM-Bremse sprechen. 1) Kompliziert zu befüllen 2) Funktioniert nur mit Dot-Bremsflüssigkeit 3) Video notwendig, weil SRAM keine Anleitung zum Entlüften der RE zur Verfügung stellt. Wer die Wahl hat, sollte sich Bremsen von Shimano holen. Gruß aus Witten! makkus

Thanks for creating this video in such detail. I have the Guide RE brakes on my Specialized Levo 2020, and your video was perfect. It took me about 1 hour 20 minutes because since it was my first time bleeding brakes, I wanted to go slow. I kept pausing your video, then doing each step slowly and carefully making sure not to miss any detail. Just so you know, I watched about 5-6 videos and yours was the best; even better than the SRAM videos. The SRAM videos don't offer enough detail, and they don't do a video specifically for the Guide RE. You made the process of bleeding brakes very easy. I found I had a lot of air in my brake lines. I spent almost 30 minutes of the total service time forcing the air out of the lines. Thanks for the help from the U.S. of A. Well done.
Great video, only way to make sure you get rid of every last bubble of air, I followed the instructions on the Sram website but ended up with too much travel, your guide (no pun intended) worked a treat Thanks.
Asking for someone else who don't have brakes setup perfectly yet, so I want to help them. Do adjusting reach closer to the bar on these reduce the amount the lever can press the piston in master cylinder? As in reducing power? So I i need to figure out if she needs to swap brakes, cus she has reach too far out, and brakes too far out. I suspect the ebrake might have this flaw.
Just bought a bike with Guide R brakes and not looking to this nightmare, Shimano brakes are so much simpler to maintain. Still probably give it a go, thanks.
Just do exactly step by step like in the movie but dont unpluged lever siringe at the end.. , remove bleeding block(do not install braking pads) and squezze lever a little bit to make sure that pistons came out a bit , then push oil again through lever to bleed system then install break pads and push them inside caliper . If the rotor will chafe it you have to unscrew the knob lever to release small droplets of oil ! it is necessary to get the effect you are talking about. Good luck :P
How do they work for you? are you happy with them? I will have a oportunity to replace in my new bike sram guide T with sram guide RE but used for 1 year(and thery are 2018 model). Do you think it is worth it?

Hello , why my brakes are constantly failing (dropp) , I made beed more than 5 times.

Guide r is a bit different it is easier just watch SRAMs videos

Great video, could you not use a screw on funnel at the lever like the Shimanos do as the bleed port is on top of reservoir?

@@AshfordMTB annoying. I've got same issue on my Clarkes M3s, pipe and bleed screw both on same side so can't burp like the Schimanos.

You could have used your old grammophone pick-up brush to clean the pistons instead of the cleaner for your casette deck.
