      Besides it dont work when cold starting your car, when the engine coolant temp raises enough to transfer heat to the washer fluid container the cars standard windshield defroster does the job.

      ​@@nuck- Cadillac (possibly other brands within GM) used this but the system was terminated via recall 2008. As far as I know no other vehicle manufacturer uses washer fluid heating systems.

    The heated windshield fluid is actually a fantastic idea, I hope he gets it thru somewhere. They said it themselves, why hasn't this been done yet

      It really isn't... if you pour warm water onto a frozen windscreen it will crack... and then when your insurer asks you what you poured on it, and you say 'hot water', then the insurer will hang straight up.

      it takes half an hour for the engine and the radiator to heat up and even more for it to heat up that liquid. in winter conditions.

      I'm based in the UK, we don't get exteme winters but even this morning my windshield was frozen solid for the 3rd day in a row. This product would be fantastic. I have only ever seen Ford with an electric style windshield heater and people love it except for.. the electrics would die out! This product would work and I would pay £100 as an optional extra to have it for sure.

      Well there's a reason. Windshields aren't made to withstand sudden and drastic changes in temperature.

      @@freeza2g not only that, but if his device adds an extra failure point for your cars cooling system. Imagine your engine overheating and killing itself because the coolant leaked out through the washer fluid resevoir OR the washer fluid contaminating your coolant.

      ​@@freeza2g - Well, he mentioned that. It's not hot, it's warm. There's a valve in it so that it doesn't get too hot for that exact reason. Weren't you listening? But yes, the antifreeze works pretty good once the car is going.

    As a Canadian used to hard winters, that heated washer fluidcwoukd be such a life saver... he just needed a worldwide patent before publicly announcing it. Hope to see it used in Canada soon!

    To the channel owner, are you nuts? The copper tubing idea was a genius idea, and the dancing christmas lights was also good. I think the copper tubing guy's big mistake was coming on the show when he didn't have patents. Now, there is no reason for any car manufacturing company to buy the idea from him. He should have worked for the money, then did the patents himself. Coming on an international show without patents was crazy. The remote was also a good idea. They should have asked the first lady what happened with the Christmas lights when she came back.

    My mom and stepdad have a foot switch to turn their Christmas tree lights on and off. Their product is the same as many products that are already out there just in a novelty shape. Nothing ingenious about it.

    Chrysler screwed over their own employee who invented intermittent windshield wipers. I think they were in court for 40 years. They'll definitely screw over this guy.

    Windshield washer guy might have a viable product if instead of going the Big Bang OEM route, targeted the car accessory/modding community instead. Way smaller market but could’ve moved units

    The treemote thing is entirely unnecessary. Our Christmas tree has a button on the cord so all you have to do is push it with your foot, and lots of companies make buttons that plug into the cord

    Man, I'm a huge fan of these types of shows, (dragons den, shark tank,) but these guys on dragons den are unnecessarily mean sometimes. I know its TV but the ppl getting made fun of don't see it that way or bennifit from it and then the Dragons go on to make money off the ratings and everything else. All while someone gets made fun of who can't really tell if they are being disrespected or not/don't feel comfortable standing up for them selfs because of the power dinamic. These guys are acting like bullies. The last out, on the treemote pitch was a full on asshole move. If I was that guy I would have walked out as soon as he picked up the book and started reading. I support because it's canadian but i'm honestly debating to stop watching these videos now because lord knows the dragons get money from the views and ad rev.

      yeah he behaved like a right shithead. but these guys generally don't become rich by being nice guys. A lot of PR prep goes into them before going on these shows to project a false of image of who they really are. Just watch the early seasons of dragons den and see how nasty and condescending the dragons are as an example. Most of these millionaires see ordinary people as below them.
