No, she knew Pre Visla was at least equally as evil as Maul, if not more. I've come to the conclusion that Bo Katan will go to the side which ensures her the most power.
She knew if Pre Visla took over Mandolore,the consequences it would have. (Execution of sister)
She was literally given the darksaber. Her character has no room for development. It is shown with her welding the darksaber when Din was captured, she welded it with ease meaning she knows exactly what she wants and was probably waiting for the right opportunity.

If all true, why not kill Din and why refuse the darksaber in Rebels? Your point is well taken but it’s not black and white.
