Wow, you made some nice beads even with all the flex in your roller.

Thanks! That was 18 gauge which is the max thickness for that roller.

Welcome to the channel! Full disclosure: my brother doesn't want a show car with this project. Corners are going to get cut in the name of saving time and money. This is going to be a home garage resto all the way. I did a rotisserie restoration on one of my cars and now its a little bit too nice to use! He wants to avoid this.

A Nozzle for spot weld on mig is very useful for that purpose, because you push and spot.

Good morning, in my experience with my bead roller, I do the same as you, multiple passes, take a look at Karl Fisher's videos on bead rolling, japhand kustom's.

Hey Michael, yeah I am a subscriber to Make it Kustom. I actually made my tucking fork based on one of his videos 👍I wish I had seen his video on pre-stretching metal before bead rolling prior to making the Polara's trunk patch! It came out pretty rough.

For a Car Like that, Next Time try ESAB, 0.23 Easy Grind, loose the Maximum you can The rollers at the welder. Then take a Piece of scrap metal the same gauge , begin with the lower, power setting , place the gun touching the nozzle to the scrap metal pull the trigger, and tune the speed by the sound. You will see total penetration without blowing a hole. The gas could be to 15 . Because welding closer it's enough. I learn that from a representative of HTP in my birthland on 1984. An works on every brand perfectly. Because is the basic. Is Like if you weld sheetmetal with Oxy-Acetylene, you can weld with tig. Because is the base. Nice video Thanks.

Vintage: you should watch Paulo Funliero in Brazil. His fabrication skills are off the wall. Both he and his wife speak-write English in addition to Portuguese, his stepson and helper also are learning the Trade by his example.

I miss-spelled his name, it's Paulao Funliero. You should be able to find him now. He started from nothing a few years back working at auto body shops in the outer reaches of Sao Paulo, through determination of himself, his wife and stepson, anybody in the restoration business knows who he was is now. He's now moved into his fourth shop because his skills are never to be questioned . His stepson Ze's skills noare quite remarkable for 19 year old. Ze's mom does most of the filming, etc.
