@@yacob6534 There isn't any 40-yard split that I can find. I can find 10m splits so we can get his 30m time or his 40m time. I found his 9.83 100m & it looks like he hit 30m at 3.89, he hit 40m as 4.76. We'd need his time at around 36.5 meters, as that's around 40 yards. 36.5 is 65% on the way from 30m to 40m, so we could roughly add the difference between his 30m & 40m split times 0.65. So he was around 4.45~4.46 seconds at 40-yards. Then we take away reaction time & he's at a 4.31 40-yard. His 9.79 is a tad faster, but likely wouldn't all of a sudden go down to a 3.98. 4.2x at best. Noah Lyles isn't known for his start, Coleman is a much faster starter, even College Coleman vs Pro Lyles Coleman would win to 40 yards.

Adding all the improvements together we get: 0.004 + 0.04 + 0.01 = 0.054s Subtracting that time from 9.774: 9.784 - 0.054 = 9.73s That would take him from being 13th fastest man in the 100m to around 5th or 6th
yeah i could see lyles splitting a 6.3 high first 60 and ending in a low-mid 3.3 under great conditions if he stays in this shape... low 9.7 definitely possible, but nowhere near the world record like some people think

Nfl combine lets the athlete leave the blocks when he decides. That is why they have fast 40 yard times. In 100m you leave when the gun goes, there reaction time in that. This is part of the reason why nfl guys get trounced on the track. Their times simply do not translate over to track 1 for 1
Excellent point. Also, football players play football, not run track. Two different disciplines, different skill sets, different athletes. Hill is very fast for a football player, average to below average for a top-level sprint athlete.
Have to remember also that Tyreek is far from track shape. He carries about 30 pounds of pure muscle over Noah, that ultimately will weigh him down. Noah wouldn't last in the league, and Hill would never qualify in any tournament because of those differences.

But if Lyle 's dedicated himself for a year to train for 40-yard dash, it wouldn't even be close. But there were other Olympic sprinters that can run a better 40-yard dash than lyles, like Christian Coleman, among others. The world champion indoor 60 meter sprinters
No top class sprinters would have to train specifically for the 40 to crush Hill - they already train it specifically as part of their 60/100 metre training. Look at Bolt vs Lyles comparison, when Lyles had a head start. From 60 to 100 Bolt seems to barely move away, when in reality Bolt should be gaining close to 1m from 60...100m alone. Doesn't seem to be the case at all. Their 200m comparison seems even less accurate. The way Lyles closes in on Bolt at the end is hilarious. Lyles split 4.71s from 150-200m and Bolt 4.75, which means Lyles gained around 0.4m on Bolt for the last 50m of their races. The video shows something completely different than that.

It's accurate. Tyreek is explosive at 185 lbs and Noah is built for longer races at 154 lbs. Also, Tyreek was in track in high school and college.

This seems highly inaccurate. At the very end relative speeds change drastically. Reminds me of the Lyles vs Bolt comparison.
its accurate because the athletes have constantly changing speeds throughout the race and these simulations match their split interval times and Noah would be pulling away at the end

Look at Bolt vs Lyles comparison, when Lyles had a head start. From 60 to 100 Bolt seems to barely move away, when in reality Bolt should be gaining close to 1m from 60...100m alone. Doesn't seem to be the case at all.
Their 200m comparison seems even less accurate. The way Lyles closes in on Bolt at the end is hilarious. Lyles split 4.71s from 150-200m and Bolt 4.75, which means Lyles gained around 0.4m on Bolt for the last 50m of their races. The video shows something completely different than that.
