Surely your intention in life to make everyone else feel miserable, who outsmart you in every way, will see you surrounded by the third rate persons you seem to attract!!
An old friend of mine, Matthew Dean, was playing for Sussex University, who did a good job. I hope come back on the show. Trueblood was very good, considering he got a lot of questions wrong.
I do wish University Challenge would ditch that horrid scratchy string quartet version of the Sig tune and bring back the original muted trumpet version.
I graduated from Sussex last year. Based on the people I met there we'll be waiting a long time for another win, most the people are dumb as fuck and more akin to sitting in East Slope bar than the library.
I've been watching this show for awhile, but have always wondered something. What is the difference between the 2 buzzing sounds, example are the one at 4:26 (Dean) and the one at 9:45 (Trueblood)?
At 18:18 what does Paxman mean “as they say in America, you just misspoke”? Is that not a phrase in the UK, or does he mean Americans make excuses for their ignorance more often 😂
the colours of the Sussex jumpers are so satisfying
They are not from Sussex, they are from Hogwarts.

Gabriel Trueblood. Names don't get much better
And he is studying medicine...
He's a monster of trivia.
He carried the whole team
I again liked St Peter's animatronic mascot that just quietly sat on one side, shaking its head and raising its eyebrow.
Don't be cruel, he's got a nice suit, and rumour has it he's now running a merchant bank.
@@prof.heinous191 Are you sure you're not confusing him with THIS John Armitage?

@@slobodanreka1088 Well spotted Slobodan,he's the grandson, went into the family firm, no one else would take him!
@@prof.heinous191 That must have been a tough interview...
Thank you very much for posting Uni Challenge videos.
Mr Armitage is very good at shaking his head to indicate that he has no idea.
How helpful.
his ignorance appears to be unblemished....
Surely Armitage should be sat between Roberts & Trueblood? That's where the mascots usually sit.

Mr Trueblood appears nervous, which is not surprising since the team's performance is almost solely his.
Trueblood deserved to be on a better team he won that round by himself
IKR?!
t-shirts. wearing a t-shirt is the key to winning this.

you iz no speku englishu?
Was it fair of St Peter's - Oxford to have superman on the team?
I do wish University Challenge would ditch that horrid scratchy string quartet version of the Sig tune and bring back the original muted trumpet version.
Do you have a link to a recording of the original version?

Chemical elements is 100% right Paxman should have given it
Demure?
hahah thats what i thought!
Armitage looks like an evil bond villian
Arthur puty lion tamer
Well, he was certainly about as effective.
Dr. (iDon’t)No
What use is Armitage???
Only for decoration?? Or they needed a 4th team member and couldn´t find anyone else????
He was the only person they could find that fitted the suit they got from the charity shop.
Smith looks so much like James McAvoy!!!
My doctor is Tom Whitehurst, just saw him yesterday for my fMRI
Opium XD HAHAHAHAH
One of them gave a good tailors dummy impression
Matching Gabriel Trueblood and his team up against any team other than Fred Harvey and his team (Durham) makes for an uneven match.
Trueblood broken pls nerf volvo

The ringing sound seems to be for thre Left(Oxford) team and and the buzzer is for the Right(Sussex) team
yep, I've just seemed to figure out, having watched more previous episodes. thanks anyways!
brainquizzertrex ** you're clearly a smart cookie...you should go to uni.
speak for yourself man haha
@@brainquizzertrex did you end up going to uni after that comment?
Trueblood twiddling that cord...as ever.
Saying the letter V is close enough to saying victory if your from Oxford.
At 18:18 what does Paxman mean “as they say in America, you just misspoke”? Is that not a phrase in the UK, or does he mean Americans make excuses for their ignorance more often 😂
It has an Old English root but is primarily an Americanism.
I thought he was referring sarcastically to lying of the Hillary Clinton variety.
I went to Sussex. Did philosophy. Long time ago.
You could have 3 puppets and Trueblood and they still would have done as well as they did. 3 useless tools.
Smith and Roberts eventually got better over time in the sense they actually answered questions.
Is that comment necessary? Being there surely was quite an achievement in itself you squinting little turd
I feel so bad for Dean
Trueblood was but he let pressure get to him in the end.
awko taco
Trueblood is a mutant.
It's not a Bakewell Tart..it's a Bakewell pudding!!
