- In this full #review I will explain all the specs of the 2024 #VW #Atlas #sel then take it for a test drive. The new Volkswagen drops the V6 engine (VR6), refreshes the bumpers, outside lighting and updated the inside but they still have quirks which will bring me to my pros and cons.

Was going to get one of these but I couldn’t stand how the volume and temperature control was all touch and swipe.
It isn’t that bad but I like buttons too 👍
I just bought a new 2023 for this reason, instead of the 2024. I also preferred the V6 and got a nice discount on previous model year. I did like the refreshed body work on the 2024. The salesman highlighted the lit front VW badge which absolutely isn't something that matters to me.
@@ValleyPooch yea the light up logos are cool but not a real selling point. I ended up going with a 2024 telluride

If you enjoy loud music or just good sound period, don’t get this car. My 24 cross sport R-lines volume is low and goes down when bass kicks in

I really dont like the volume, or lack thereof. But I dont drive it everyday, my wife does, and she doesn't listen to anything loud, AT ALL. Other than that, love the vehicle.
Picked up an SEL Premium R Line for my wife. Putting basic things like fan speed multiple steps away in the touch screen is annoying and unsafe. Also those capacitive non-illuminated buttons below the screen absolutely suck. Other than that, it's pretty great.

What reliability problems are you referring to? I own my 2019 SEL Premium for over 2 years and have no reliability problems at 51k miles?
@@pkocylowski it’s a hit or miss with every brand, my family has an Atlas sel r-line premium never had a problems. I was only agreeing with the looks 👍

I've watched a lot of reviews on this and while they all describe the engine very well, they fail to mention how although peppy still sounds more like a 4 cylinder than a v6. Good job

Can't believe they lowered the vehicle 1.7" inches, kills the ground clearance.

No VR6 Engine and No Fog Lights means No Sale for Me!
I wasn’t happen with them dropping the vr6 but it drives good and still tows the same 👍
I’m not sure why everyone is tripping over the i4….it’s the same block that’s in the base Q7…and the Q7 is almost 1800lbs heavier. Also this iron block is more reliable then the outgoing VR6
I just traded my VR6 atlas on 2024 Cross Sport Premium. The new engine is much faster and I’m getting 5 more mPG. So much better than V6. And. You can tune this one with APR ECU upgrade.

51k miles no one should have problems with a new car
Like what car breaks at 51k miles ? That’s not proving reliability
Come back to me when it’s over 150k km I’m in Canada and own 2015 Jetta bought new at that time from dealer engine and head gasket blew up at 210k Km
Reliability shows when you drive over 200k km
Not 50k and say doesn’t have reliability issue
Real good cars shouldn’t have problems at all for long time

I agree, my last vehicle went over 165,000 miles no problems.
My wife has a Volkswagen atlas 2021. She hit a deer seven months ago in May 1923. The autobody shop has not been able to source a hood and bumper among other things because Volkswagen is not manufacturing parts to repair their cars. We tried to get Volkswagen to buy it back but they would not and this is left us with a car payment and insurance but no car to drive. Volkswagen cannot tell us when they will manufacture, hoods and bumpers. I would not buy a Volkswagen atlas or any other Volkswagen because they are not manufacturing parts to repair their cars.
I had the same thing happen with my Cadillac, I didn’t hit a deer though, a car pulled out in front of me. It took GM almost 6 months because they didn’t have a dashboard and didn’t want to make one. Unfortunately this is every vehicle when it comes to parts not just VW. What I did was talked to corporate and they gave me some money because of the extra time I had to waited. I know how you feel, we had car payments and no car to drive but that is what you tell them so they pay you some cash for the delay 👍
If your case is true then open a case with consumer court...... VW cannot stop production of parts
That sounds more like an insurance issue than anything else. I would probably make sure that your insurance coverage is adequate to cover act of nature vs. trying to make sure the manufacturer buys back your car. That's what insurance is for. I would argue you not having a car to drive is your insurance company's fault.

here in Mx the Atlas is the best option because it’s the only one with AWD. neither Pilot or Highlander have it. Ain’t trust in Chevy or Ford.
