- In this episode, we go fishing for Spanish Mackerel off the beach using different artificial lures. Along the way we run into motor trouble we have to figure while out on the water. Keeping watching to see how we did.

Great action Jerome! I'll sometimes fish for Spanish when I can't find any tarpon on the beach. I'll use that same spoon that you were using but I'll throw it on a light spinning rod with a one ounce weight in front of it so I can cast it real far. Awesome underwater footage. Another great video!

You should be using rec90 you won’t have that problem where did you get your fuel from last JT my boat sat for 18 months no water issues only use rec90

Wow.. always though spanish mackerel were mindless eating machines. Didnt think they observed their prey before eating it like other fish. 👍
I know its crazy! I thought that was the case with Kingfish too but they'll do the same thing.

Jeremy, will you tell me how to use the birds. I always use Clark spoons on #1 planner's but I have to run 7 to 8 mph and would love to slow down
Yeah they are fairly simple to run if the seas are calm. As it gets rougher they can tangle more. We pull around 4 to 5 and it seems to work well.
If tangels are a pita, try an inline weight. Tie a line release off a cleat to get it down
@@darenleeper1644 just checking....line from reel then inline weight, section of line, then bird with clarkspoon, using a release clip on cleat to keep mainline down...lol is this right
@@darenkincaid8187 ha nice name, the new Karen.... i hate that. I run the spoon with a leader the length of rod. I use braided linebetween the braided line and leader i put the weight. The weight should have swivel if not add one. I run it out 30 to 50 feet and connect that to a clip or rubber band attached to cleat that is low to get it close to water.
