- Hi guys, this is how i got "no traces" for this episode. Now, i'm not gonna lie: this was one of the hardest mission to complete with the bonus (if not the hardest ever).
The randomness involved with the guards patterns is the most frustrating part to deal with. Basically you can do this mission 1 million times and not a single run is identical to the previous one. It took me countless tries to come up with the right strategy, and even when i did, it was a pain in the ass to manage with the guard pattern...

Honestly, I would have just marked the commander at the start of the mission and shot him with a sniper, ez. I don't have the patience to do no traces lol.
Ahah :D I know i know... That would be effective! Doing this mission the hard way is something you rarely do, but it gives you alot of satisfaction. And, among the hard mission in mgsv, i think this is the hardest... cos the guard patterns and positions are unpredictable.

Yep! It's full of mosquitoes, Good Lord!! :D
You know why I quit this game after failing this mission? Because I failed by sliding down the pipe and falling to death. I don't know any other game that implements sliding-down-pipes function, yet still lets you fall to death if the pipe is like 10 meters long. This might sound too extreme for a reason to quit, but that's merely the last draw. The programming of this game is abysmal. This is the last Kojima and Konami game for me. Right now I'm just happy I only spent 5 bucks to know what Konami/Kojima is like. A small price to pay for not letting them screw me again. (By the way this video is great, I followed your strategy up till the last platform, where I slid down a pipe to avoid detection)
Dude can you believe i failed the very previous try before this one by sliding down the pipe and falling to death..... lol :D This happened cos instead of pointing my gun in order to turn, i just pressed 'S' (i play on pc) as i jumped over the railing. When you press a direction key, you make a full turn around, but pointing your gun makes it an instant 180... I was so *pissed off* i had to spend 30m to calm down. When finally i pointed my gun at Mosquito, my hands where shacking like hell lol xD
I fully understand you can be so angry at a game you just quit (we all did this!). Fortunately, my love for the game was stronger, and i managed to get things right literally the next try. To be honest, i was too on the edge lol, after two weeks of trying xD But i still love the game, and its engine. Fox Engine is the best for me, i can't really think of a game giving a better feeling of fluidity and realtivity.
As gamers, we know there's grey zone where you take up a game, quit it, take it back up, quit again, etc... MGSV is like no other game, just give it another try! :D:D
You can use sniper rifle to take him out at beginning as soon as you leave helicopter
Legit one of my favorite games and I can heavily relate to this comment. Sometimes the physics is really goofy and it costs you.

Nice catch man! No i didn't :D Back then i was under the impression that mobility 2 and 3 were pretty sick. Still to this day i just don't like a bit the super sprint you got with mobility 3 (i found it pretty unnatural and weird to see), so i decided not to upgrade any further step beyond 1, the basic level. This is why you see me rolling so slow :D Months later i upgraded to level 2 just 'cos it's easier to do the double-speed trick. But i still refuse to upgrade to lvl 3 just for the running thing xD I feel like lvl 2 is the sweet spot, way more natural then max lvl.

@@rohandesai1107 Yes yes! You're right. You can catch up tanks, trucks, jeeps... It's useful, no doubt about that. I still choose not to use it just 'cos i can't watch it, really... When i see the super-sprint, i feel like: "meh, the hell is this thing....." xD. Besides, when you cannot run so fast, you need to think in advance on the things you need to plan. It's like overcoming difficulties with smartness. Also, you now maybe think "well this is pretty weird..., why don't you use it...", but maybe, if you accustom yourself to it, you start thinking "how the hell was i playing before" :D:D

Dude everyone has his own playstyle. If you snipe Mosquito from the starting point... good for you! "You're pretty good" xD.
But that doesn't mean that someone else can't choose to go for the hard way and 'no trace' this mission. Why don't you post your run on YT?
Besides, if you snipe that guy from the starting point... that's quite an achievement! I'd love to watch the run :D

So there will be no S record no matter what?
Exactly... sadly, this is one of the 'special' missions where there's no ovailable S rank ... there are few others too. Nonetheless this one is a real challenge. Mosquito is at the top of the R&D building and it's hell of a task getting there without being spotted xD Otc, you do that only if you really want to (there are easier ways).
It took me ten days for refining this strategy lool :D Partially cos half of the guards have unpredictable patterns and they change them at every restart.

@@-Runo Yes I am playing it. I love this mission since you can't have any buddy to spot, and boxes could become very useful here. You don't have any checkpoint; most of the guards are quite not hold-up-able too (they are too close with each other).
Don't understand why you can't obtain any rank. This is a great challenge for no trace.
I started to play no trace for every mission once I received the cargo futon, just got to mission 22 at this moment.

Are you using a graphics mod?
Nope, i play vanilla. I only use two cosmetic mods (one for having the bandana really black, cos i don't like much the original grey; another one for removing the belt sack on venom's back, which is too big for me... xd), and one mod that allows me to go to the battleflied without primary weapons (cos i love osp, i always get what i need from the battlefield). It's been this way since my [MGSV] serie, still going on today.
About the graphics: i like how the game looks to be honest. I tried something years ago, but the mods affected my computer's overall performance quite a bit, so i stopped using them (cos i also need pc resources to record the gameplay, and with too many mods lag while recording starts to 'go wild' lool).
