      It is still doing great. It’s still sitting out in the yard under that cover and looks basically the same. ua-cam.com/users/shortsWecpupB8xPI?si=Uxv3dPbHr9ijQ87H

    I've had this exact target for 5+ years and it's still working great and haven't had to replace anything but will definitely eventually seems very easy to replace the face and top. Very awesome review

      Awesome, Jon. That’s great to hear! It is definitely pretty easy to replace the cover, so go for it when you’re ready 😊

    I have two of 3'x3' size for about 4 years. They stay outside. I have replaced to coverings a couple of times with painters canvas cloth. Before recovering I reach inside the shot out holes and reposition the stuffing. Like the morrel bags the stuffing will not wear out. Just reposition the materials inside and put on a new cover. I have 4 of these that are at least 7 years old. Coverings are a lot cheaper than a new bag.

    Doesn’t work well with collars on the arrows

    Well my first buy on eBay failed so I had to upgrade to the Bulldog FF plus. I'm using corn cob pins I got from Walmart for my paper target pins. The only thing is my target is 50ish pounds,.....I may leave this dog outside LoL 🏹🤠👍.

    I am looking for a target that I can shoot all year and use to catch my arrows when the primary target fails. I shoot in the wind, the rain, and the cold. Give me a target that I cannot shoot 12 dots out of in a year. I don't believe that is possible.

    • @ReviewThisThing

      It sounds like with all that shooting, it would be tough. The nice thing about this one is that they’ll send you new covers for free any time you need one.

    Good honest review and video! A friend of mine bought the SpyderWeb and I think its more expensive. I liked that it would stop faster crossbows, but just stops short of the Wicked Ridge 370, but hey arrow speeds so are related to arrow weights, so 350 FPS is certainly fast enough! Say, what kind of audio are you using, with that Lavaliere microphone? A wireless system? Very good audio. I'm considering switching from my shotgun mic to a Rode wireless set up.

      Thank you! And, thanks for watching! I did find out that Bulldog makes the Doghouse XL 450 that is good for speeds up to 450 fps. It's $245. You can use the link bulldog.kckb.st/reviewthisthing
      and code: BD10-REVIEWTHISTHING if you want to get one and get $10 off. I'm using this microphone: amzn.to/3x6afHg Thanks for the compliment. I like it a lot. It seems to do a pretty good job!

    100% awesome targets, I have had the Double Dog and Wiener Dog for about a year and half... couple things, using FPS maybe isn't the best way to advertise arrow stopping power a heavy thin arrow doing 250 fps will hit a ton harder with far more more energy than a screaming fast light weight 3d arrow would. These targets don't like fat arrows and are much better at 30+ yards. Fat indoor target arrows seem to do a lot more damage and at 20 yards (or less) your arrows are hitting in the same 1/2 spot over and over. After a few ends you will burn a hole through pretty fast. By my 6th end or 7th end on a Vegas 3 spot I started burying the vanes a few inches into the target. ***Admittedly the only targets significantly better for close range (18 meter) target compound archery are 3 or 4 times the cost and much harder to pull arrows from. Most people would know this stuff but because these targets get some pretty over the top glowing reviews I could see some being disappointed. I bet that single bad review that mention how hard it was to get an arrow out hit the pressboard sides... ask me how I know :)

      Thank you so much for all that input. It’s great to hear all of those aspects. Have you maybe just maybe hit the sides once? 😊

    100 to 200 shots is nothing. I do that in half an hour. How does it hold up after 1000's of shots? Also I've shot at one of these a buddy had and it pulled my inserts out. My inserts on those arrows had the slightest bit of a lip to them but that never mattered on any other target. I wouldn't even try my bamboo arrows on it after that. For the price of these I think there are better options out there.

    • @ReviewThisThing
      @ReviewThisThing  3 роки тому

      Wow! That’s a lot of shooting! Congrats. That’s a great question about thousands of shots, though. After we’ve had it longer, we may do an update. Thankfully we haven’t had any issues with inserts getting pulled out. They do get caught some if they aren’t even, but thankfully they stayed in for us. Thanks for sharing your experience! We love having different points of view.

      @@ReviewThisThing I'd like to hear how it holds up. I shoot mostly Asiatic style bows these days. Ottoman archery mostly and so my rate of fire is much quicker than the average Western style archer. I also tend to use bamboo or wood arrows. I don't suppose you've tested any of those on the target?

    • @ReviewThisThing
      @ReviewThisThing  3 роки тому

      That sounds awesome. I’d love to see some of that! No, we haven’t tested any wood or bamboo - just your run of the mill Easton/Carbon Express/etc arrows. That sounds pretty interesting, though!

      @@ReviewThisThing Basically it's horseback archery but I have no horse lol. Thumb release with the arrow on the right side of bow or left side if I'm shooting left handed. I can do both but still getting the hang of shooting left handed. Check out Mihai Cozmei on here to see a true master of what I do at work. I'm no where near as fast as him but I can shoot about 5 or 6 arrows to my buddies 1 or 2 with his Western bow. Accuracy is not much worse than with my compound and it's expensive sights. It took a good year to get the hang of but was well worth it for the feeling I get knowing the equipment didn't help me make the shot one bit and it was all me that made the arrow hit the target. Fun stuff it is. I love archery and shot Western style and compound for around 30 years. Now days I can shoot any type of bow but the Asiatic bows are just so versatile that it make shooting Western bows kind of boring. Best part is I can use any arrow as long as it has enough weight so it's not dry firing of course. But the spine does not matter one bit. Sorry for the long reply but I write in hope that it inspires more people in the west to look at other styles of archery for the archery world is much bigger than what we see here in the Western world. Have fun and shoot straight!

    If you want to do a proper review shoot a carbon arrow at it 100 times and do an extra of the arrow before and after. Stopping an arrow like that isn't a good idea.
