Great vid, Went to a museum the other day and saw a German Schwimmwagen (amphibious car) and immediately thought of this bad boy. I think with this upgrade you might have them beat for speed.
I have built a lot of small boats over the last 15 years, and its good to see some one aving a go at building stuff them selves, however to save your self a lot of wasted time on something thats not going to work well, put the motorbike engine in something else and get a cheap jetski with the matched power curve for the unit, no messing around tring to make water jackets for the headers and a lot of other problems that you havent clicked onto yet. I have tried out motor bike engines in the past, you need to split the motor and remove all the gears and make an adaptor to run a shaft off the clutch basket to the unit , if your cbr600 motor is spinning at 12,000 the clutch is around 8,000 its geared down quite a lot, running off the sprocket and tring to us the gears just doesnt work, the power is never in the right spot. Tring to match the motors power to a random jetski set up and still having to make a proper grill/intake combo, theres a lot to it.I have done it with zx10 and cbr1000 motors, you just cant beat a yamaha jetski set up . Good luck mate, keep the videos coming
Thanks I watch a lot of your videos, I can’t use a JetSki motor because how can I cool it when on land? I have heard of you run a radiator it can’t really cool down a JetSki motor enough. I would rather run a surface drive which would be way fast and more efficient but the jet unit will fit well with the wheels and be out of the way. Thanks a lot for the information I just really want it to be able to plane, how fast does your inflatable boat with the outboard jet go?
@@DktheWelder the orange boat only does about 35-40 km with a 50hp on the back, painfully slow compared to a jetboat, I cant see an easy way of fitting the honda motor around the mower engine, however in the states dont they run the lawn mower motors with a long shaft and a propeller on the end ua-cam.com/video/HPTjdA9Azzc/v-deo.html I think that with your skills you could build up something like this?
@@goatracing610 haha yes I have done heaps with those longtail motors they are really cool I put one on a surfboard too , I have been thinking about what you said all day that the cbr600 motor be no good . Also I would love to talk to you and ask questions I have been watching your videos for a couple of years
Love the idea and your channel, just thought of this today to be something different from the others and found that you beat me to it haha! keen to see how you go with a geared engine on the jet drive..
Bro, I'm doing the exact same thing using an 07 cbr.. . . Started it earlier today. I'm using all those cad files you made to build the a jet unit, but I'm gonna 3d print it in steel & scale it up many percents. . . Also getting rather curious at how well the bat kart is going ?.????...?
56123 motors are (Somewhat) cheap and crazy powerfull motors you can use for the turbine. They are about 13-17 HP. Costs around 200 dollars for the motor but with a speed controller it costs around 600-700 dollars. And then you need a battery to go along with it. Write a comment if you need any guidance.
Actually I want to build another mini jet boat but electric, a motor like that would be perfect. Maybe I could email some company’s and they could sponsor something, because the batteries are so expensive
@@DktheWelder Yes if you going with 18650 or lead acid the battery's are really expensive. I think the cheapest option is to buy some lipos for a few hundred bucks. Although the battery life will suffer. Personally I get laptop battery's from the dumpster.
Could pick up a lime scooter 😉 motor and battery in one, just need an esc of ebay. Everyone hates those scooters and would rather see you do something cool with one anyway haha
hey dude what are doing with the fairings? I have the same bike and a couple parts of my fairings are broken and one part flew off and was destroyed by a truck
I Have been looking at the Vevor 2000w 48v motor then using a 1:2 gear ratio since it will have the torque but not the speed. for a small jet drive. i have seen no one else test these motors. but i think they are the most affordable motor i could find that could work. (eBay Australia)

Quite the upgrade. Looking forward to this 👍👍
This is going to go so much better with the upgrade. Perfect example of 'mission creep'
I think it is a good direction to move towards!
@@DktheWelder I can only wonder where the tank developments end up. May end up saving Ukraine. :)
Good call going to one engine to run it all! 🤘
I wonder if you could rig up cable steering for the jet and the front tire.
Yes that is the plan I need to find a steering cable 👍
Now that is the engine you need, that is what im talking about.

Hey mate make sure you run the original air box on that engine otherwise you'll forever have dramas getting it to run properly 🤙
Will do ! They are pretty fussy those sport bike engines
Looking good Daniel! That should fix the speed issue!
I hope so, I will need to change some stuff for land mode I don’t know if the 3 wheel setup will handle too much speed haha
@@DktheWelder some Mr Bean Reliant Robin style shenanigans would make for some good video tho...

at 4:04 .... Do you really want to put the jetmotor in reverse??
Na the wheels in reverse
Well, this turned into alot of work all of a sudden. Awesome 😁
I know I make everything into a lot of work! Be good if I did this full time but then I would try even harder stuff!
Love ya work mate
That should fly across the water. What's up with the old Seca in the yard? I've got a red one at my sisters house
What’s a seca?
I just looked on google haha, the Yamaha xs400 you mean? A subscriber gave it to me I got it running too I’m not sure what to do with it yet.
The bike at 3:11

All the fairings were held on with zip ties and cracked I think the only good one is around the headlight

Cool!! Keep going please
Yeah I am working on it everyday be another video out soon
tractor gearbox or atv all you need is F-N-R

U love it hard lol great video mate
raining main jets 😂
I wish it came down and hit me so I could find it!

Motorcycles have clutches just use that to dis engage the engine 😂
