The first episode of _Slip_ is almost too painful to watch thanks to the unrelenting parade of shallow NYC narcissists. Not one redeemable character in the bunch. Fortunately, the plot device is introduced at the end, creating enough suspense to make the subsequent episodes (and the subsequent shallow NYC narcissistic characters) bearable. Can't help wishing for a final episode, though, in which the entire city gets wiped out by a tidal wave or atomic bomb or something…
