As someone who was actually born in the city at the height of HK's economic powers, you realise HK was always artificial, its status and wealth were an accident of history due to global politics which the city has no control. HK became that way because it was the only outlet between China and the rest of the world. When all the money and goods flowed through one city, because the world still desperately wanted trade with China, the city benefited. But this is also a fake illusion. Once the Mainland opened up, and people can do business more directly through much better located hubs, HK's source of wealth ended. It was just a brief moment in the sun, not dissimilar to how other cities in the world rose and fell.
so many functional passenger cruisers abandoned when covid started 1st year, i think its easier if they build new one using those abandoned cruisers that wont get dismantled because it cost so much to turn them into resources
This departure will no doubt leave a gaping hole both in the harbour and many Hong Kongers’ hearts.
The space can be used for a better purpose. This restaurant brings lots of pollution to the water and the people living near it.
