I'm waiting on some parts to do exactly this, thanks for the sick video! I really want to see if they can do a firmware upgrade on the nvg30 to increase the framerate even more or things like that.

Just had some fun with mine tonight to catch a view of the comet on one of it's last days near earth. (thanks to light pollution I couldn't even see it without the NVG30)
Btw for about $200 you can get a g24 clone and bridge (that is made of metal) from specprecision that works and feels great with the NVG30's, only using it for One right now myself but the dovetail is there for when i feel like getting that second one.

If you intend to run arround your house pick 250$ Nightfox Prowl
If you intend it to hunt the NVG30 is nice in deed
If you intend to play airsoft or use it in any "PvP" application digital is a waste of money because you either dont see enought or you turn on the suicide IR
Full Gen2+ units with FOM 1400-1600 start at 2500$ , and that is a full package (tube + good housing + decent lenses + mount + J-arm + head strap)
If you live in the US you can get even better deals with their export restricted Gen3 tubes
If you dont mind a question, i plan on buying an aap 01 when it comes in stock and for future reference i want a red dot for it that isnt like 50-100 bucks. What would you recommend if that were to be the case, i also play outdoors so my sight might need to be a little bright.

Nice video, but I dont get it.
What is the point of spending so much on a pretty much useless NVG? That's more than you pay for a real analog unit.
Why does it have to be always new? Analog degrading is nearly zero. An used mono with Photonis commercial tube cost around 300 USD - 800 USD.
So I don't understand your thoughts. In which world should someone decide for a more expensive DUAL digital unit instead of a cheaper analog MONO unit?

I would always take a Gen2+ mono over a digital dual setup. Especially when the Gen2+ mono is cheaper.

@@philliplewis1586 Hmm, I bought many. My last one was a Photonis XX1441 in a random mono housing.
It was 45O. My cheapest one was Dipol D121 with US made gen2+ for 25O.

Dual makes it wayy more easier to see, with mono, you have to close the other eye and it functions more like a acope but with the dual, you see with both eyes
@@reazyy9667 you can easily keep both eyes open with mono. Your brain has to work a little harder to process both images but it works super well. Dual is a luxury upgrade more than anything. Giving your brain less work to do is always better but comes with a price jump.
