Ive been dropping the dannig scarab and chucking in +2 shrines, with domination on map device. Purely domination/exp on atlas tree. Takes 15 seconds to run around dunes and grab the shrines, making the expedition much much easier, especially if you dont have a gg build. My 3div RF cheiftan has no issues with ignite prolif+explodes.

Great tips. Explorer scouting reports also help get the unique maps rolling too - less relevant in a race to X voidstones, but there's at least some chance to get one of the three rare Atlas unique maps (Putrid, Coward and Twilight). The OP 'force Coward in 50% of reports' strat was nerfed in 3.22, but it still is a useful chance. I personally take Planar Tactician and Commissioned Officer in white maps before pathing to Wandering Path, and also pick up WP with about 5 more adjacent map nodes than you have when you rush it, then I unspec the two notables on grabbing WP. This is probably less efficient than your method, but having 2 to 5 Comprehensive Scouting Reports when at 2 voidstones gives good chances to clean up the rare three unique maps. I often go hard into Heist on the atlas after getting enough map nodes, because it has a good payoff in trade and takes ~2 seconds per map to run.

What I did was play a voidforge build with secondary slot weapon equipped with starforge so worst case scenario is you get all but chaos resist which is pretty rare

Why run number of affixes scarab though? Expedition remnant affixes are mostly pretty useless and downsides all very detrimental and super likely to brick you with immunities with nuke setup. Sure, item quant, pack size, number of artifact if you use them are nice, but mostly it's useless trash beyond very early like rare items / small quant of low essences etc, and afair you don't get any generic bonus for number of affixes. Just picking any remnant does have some hidden bonus like 5% quant or something. Expedition synergizes super-well with harvest harvest pretty much wants just 1 doubling scarab. Running Exarch is something no self-respecting expedition connoiseur does, it's eater all the way, eater grants way more quant and grants quant more often. Monstrous lineage and/or hordes to boost eater packs = number of altars = area quant = expedition/harvest quant. Gwennen appearance rate is also super-cringe even with fullspec into Tujen/Dannig. Reroll currency she drops is kind of fine as it's scaled up in quant to compensate, but artifacts just useless. Worth skald to get rid of her permanently.
