I agree, the boomerang always leaves me with nausea at the end.
After being at Knotts for 27 years and take riders forward and backwards 6 times. The Boomerang will have it's final run on April 23rd. Hopefully the new coaster will take riders upside down 8 times or bring back the Corkscrew. I wonder what park Boomerang will get sent to. RIP (1990 - 2017)
I remember going on Boomerang back in 1995 with my best friend and her family. I've been on the corkscrew and thought boomerang was no different. Boy was I wrong. As you're backed up you're facing straight down. Big drop for me. As the ride went into reverse, there was a part on that ride that I couldn't feel myself. After the ride I was sick for the rest of the day. It was the last time I went on a rollercoaster.
Are all boomerangs by vekoma? The one at discovery kingdom is also vekoma
I remember when boomerang was still around but I was 10 and my parents wasn’t letting me on a ride that had you upside-down.
@@shawnroney7449 yeah they are
I just rode this a couple of days ago after a 20 years absence. Wow.
Classic. I miss thee old Knott's
I'm glad I went on this ride before it got shut down.

Enter the strangest takeoff method of all time.
how come there arent any people in line for these videos
Spark246 because the best time to go is on empty days
It was a rough ride (typical for Vekoma Boomerangs), and it competed with Ghostrider (classic wooden coaster in that it was out of control, though it was rougher than it is now at this time, but not too bad, similar to Viper at SFMM), Silver Bullet (silky smooth ride), Xcelerator (a launch coaster), and Montezooma. SoCal's coaster lineup is really good (as of now, no Vekoma Boomerangs or SLCs and no Arrow Corkscrews), and Boomerang was easily in the bottom tier of SoCal coasters, not even counting kiddie and Disney coasters (even Ninja at SFMM was never rough, nor was Revolution after the removal of the OTSRs. Jaguar, Coast Rider, Pony Express, Sierra Sidewinder, and Goldrusher all pale in comparison to Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, and the Matterhorn for family coasters because of the lack of theming, and Big Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain are airtime machines for family coasters, and have even more than all of SFMM's older coasters). Even Scream at SFMM has short lines, though it isn't a bad ride at all (just in a bad location at the park and has the worst theming of all, which is saying something as Knotts has way better theming, especially in Ghost Town where Ghostrider and Silver Bullet are, while Xcelerator and Hangtime are on the Boardwalk, in the locations of Wind Jammer and Boomerang were respectively). It's very reasonable to not wait in a long ride for a rough ride when there are many more thrilling and smoother rides in the park (why wait in a long line for pain unless you want the "credit"), especially since there are great water rides like the log flume and dark rides like the mine ride (it is NOT a credit like Big Thunder Mountain, it never felt like a credit, but a great dark ride like Pirates or Haunted Mansion, despite its latter half).
For this coaster, well it was a bad ride
I wish I could enjoy these rides, but going backwards makes me soooo sick! Backwards + looping? Even worse.
this ride is dope but hurts your head lol
Ride viper at magic mountain that shit Bangs your head Hella hard you get a big headache or not.
@@isaacmadrigaljr3333 Just went on it 2 weeks ago with the new restraints. It was fun, didn’t even hit my head once
@@GianlucaBergerare you mentally insane
1:22 That looked painful
It is. That part might have 5 vertical G’s. Or 5 times as strong as normal gravity.
Oh it definitely was
