@@jeffcarter3821 Been on it a few times. It's alright, tends to have a few rough spots here and there, but I still think Ghostrider is better in my opinion.
Back around 1975, my wife and I went to Knott's Berry Farm. They had a brand new roller coaster ride called "Cork Screw". By today's standards, it was pretty mild. But, the ending was anything but routine. I could smell the brakes. I knew that smell from my car. Anyway, as the ride was ending and we were approaching the load/unload platform, the brakes had almost no effect and we went flying past the platform at a pretty good speed. The look on the ride operator's face as we flew by was a clue that something wasn't right. Then we made a hard 180 degree right turn that took us to the long uphill ramp - again. Somehow, they figured out what happened and the brakes actually worked on our second approach to the platform. As we were disembarking, the operator then announced, "thank-you for riding the Cork Screw TWICE tonight!"
I'm from Texas and I totally remember visiting family in CA and going to KBF! I remember riding the Cork Screw!! It was a simple ride but fun! I remember riding it over and over!! I also remember going to Disneyland and a beach for the first time too. I remember the beach looked crazy and huge. Great memories!
Corkscrew was my first real coaster as a kid. From there we went over to Montazoomas Revenge. After those two rides I was hooked. Been a coaster enthusiast ever since. I'm now 47 and still can't get enough of coasters.
Ghostrider was always my favorite ride at Knotts since I was a kid. Unfortunately I've always been a bigger guy. And the last time I went to the park which was quite a while ago now since I don't live near there anymore I couldn't fit on it unfortunately. The divider in the seat to separate riders was too small. But I will always have my memories, and now this video to look back on.
I was so sad that it was closed when I went to Knotts last year November time. The ride was down due to mechanical issue. The line was 3 hour wait. And 1 1/2 with fast pass.
There is always at least a 60-90 Minute wait everytime I go to Knotts to ride this classic woodie. It’s fun! Next to the classic version of Colossus it’s my favorite
When I was a kid all rides at Knott's were about 90 seconds long - this seems epic for Knott's. I don't usually even like wooden coasters, but this looks like a lot of fun.
@@elwoodblues9613just learned that knotts has a single use fast pass for $7.50 definitely wish i knew that before waiting three hours for this ride lol
i just went to KNOTT'S BERRY FARM for the first time ever , the 1st ride i rode there was GHOST RIDER it was better than both wooden coasters at MAGIC MOUNTAIN , ghostrider was a rip roarin' good time , i loved it , best ride at KNOTT'S BERRY FARM!!!!!!!
Don’t know if it’s just me but, as a pass holder I’m always at Knotts and I swear it’s way faster at night based on the times I’ve been on it, can anyone confirm or deny? Lol I’ll ask an employee next time
I hope he had a great time, my daughter rode this ride in the summer of 1999 she and my nephew rode in the car in front of me, they were both 8 this was before the remodel of it and before they had lap bars. It was a ride not to be forgotten. It was so rickety at that time. I wanted to ride it on my 60th birthday in June but she said no and is taking me on Jaguar instead 😂
Just road it on Monday. Took my 8 yr old and she bit me going down the first drop. My back is still sore and it’s Thursday. We won’t be going on it next week during KSF that’s for sure. It was fun but I’m good for the next decade 😂
To whoever can answer my question, I’m 20 yr’s old and weigh 280lbs and a height of 5’10. Is it possible I’d be able to fit on ghostrider?, I’m visiting Knotts tomorrow.
I wanna get a video so badly with my phone but they watch you like a hawk and will stop the ride, I went last Wednesday and the park was dead I rode this 6 times😊
I've read everything from "it's very smooth" to "you'll need a chiropractor after riding it" to "it's better than it was." My rides have always been pretty rough. I guess it varies from year to year.
Oooh Yea I’ve Been On This Ride With My Friend Luke Once It Took Us a Loooooong Time To Get There & a Looooooooooong Time To Get To The Top & I Did Not Like It One Bit The Drops We’re Tooo High & It Was Suuuuuuper Fast Too & Creaky & It Moved Alot
I love the old wooden rolleroasters. In the UK, we have one in Great Yarmouth and I believe it is the oldest one (and possibly the only one) in Europe. I may be a wimp but I much prefer it to the modern ones ones that spin you round and upside down.
Knott's is the inbetween of Six Flags and Disneyland. Disneyland with great theming and little no no coasters and six flags with the most coasters in the world. Knott's is both theming and coasters and I actually prefer it to Six Flags because of that.
Magic Mountain is Six Flags. Enough said. I am so thankful that, when Cedar Fair bought Knott's, they did not get rid of Ghost Town, because that section is what makes Knott's unique.

Yeah
Yeah
Yeah but I don’t think I’m going on it again
yes and it was one of the BEST RIDES EVER
Yes. I was more afraid on this ride then I was on Silver Bullet 😂
Ghostrider is 100% one of the BEST Coasters in the park and in California! I could honestly ride this one coaster for hours! It is so much fun!!
Apocalypse at Magic Mountain is way better. Been on it?
@@jeffcarter3821 Been on it a few times. It's alright, tends to have a few rough spots here and there, but I still think Ghostrider is better in my opinion.
@@jeffcarter3821 dude everyone says that and there is just no way, ghost rider is amazing
Apocalypse is terrifying! I love it.
My favorite coaster videos. No talking... just the ride. Best!

If that isn't a happy accident, I don't know what is.
Our honey moon the end of August that year same time as you.
Glad they had fixed it and we didn't know😅

I've always been amazed at how much constant thrill that ride produces off of such a small first drop.
At night they crank this shit up! during Knotts Scary Farm or any night for that matter.
And actually that first drop isn't that small.
That's the most WICKED wooden coaster I've ever ridden! It's relentlessly fast around the track
There is a reason why it has the longest lines at Knott's.
That guy’s mullet at the beginning was amazing!
Oh I loved this one! Especially at nighttime!
Just went on it today. I had no idea how wildly good this ride would be
I just love wooden roller coaster
Now that’s a coaster ride!!!
Thanks!
Thank you very much.
That last helix is incredible. Barely any banking so it feels like you're getting thrown out.
Awesome video!!!!!!!!! One of my favorite roller-coasters at Knott's Berry Farm was Ghost Rider!
This is hands-down my absolute favorite roller coaster anywhere, even above the B&M inverts and RMCs.
I love this ride at night. it's insane
Ummm wow that was impressive. Not just the layout, but that it wasn't over in like 30 seconds.
I was so sad that it was closed when I went to Knotts last year November time. The ride was down due to mechanical issue. The line was 3 hour wait. And 1 1/2 with fast pass.
Ahhh i miss living down in SoCal. This is such a fun ride!
I love these old wooden coasters. They are way more fun than the newer record breaking steel coasters
Agreed 💯

Why does the drop seem steeper when on it? But the video shows a little drop ?
It’s an illusion
Love Ghost Rider!
I went on this amazing wooden rollercoaster in the Summer of 2014. I need to get back there to Knott's Berry Farm sometime.
I love Ghost rider. It is my favorite ride at Knotts.
I changed my mind about riding this once i first saw it at my first visit
awww you should have just got on it, would've had the time of your life. Crazy how our minds can torture us so much.

これは傑作ですねぇ❤乗りたいなぁ。
nice ride 👍
This ride is intense but a very good intense. It was awesome!!
It’s so much fun. Especially at the back, because you get more airtime on the first drop
automatic classic. This is a real ride. I swear this ride is so fast when you hit those small drop loops you really feel it!

My friends are making me go on this in a few days. It looks really fun
Never been to Knott’s Berry Farm but have ridden a lot of wooden coasters. That looks like the most fun wooden coaster
It is I try to go every month
I love Ghost rider. It’s super fast, feels like the whole train is going fly off the track lol. Scary but I’ll always get on it.
That's a helluva coaster...well done Knotts.
Top 10 overall coaster for me and one of my favorite woodies.
i went when it was raining and the park was so dead the ride was a walk on basicly
I Love this ride so much my favorite.
Favorite wooden coaster in California!
how good is berry farm? any better than disneyland?
yes definitely roller coaster wise
Ouch!!
That’s a really great coaster ride
Great ride but the first drop shouldnt have the overhead cover to spoil the height view.
Being a kid from LA knotts was a tradition
my son is going to Knott's and he wants to ride this ride and he's 8 years old. crazy isn't it

I Bet That Ride Is Better at Night!
Oh believe me it is it’s a completely different ride
It really is. At night it has orange lights on the sides.
Went on last night and it’s a different beast. I swear it goes 20 mph faster lol

Is this wooden rollercoaster still smooth? Or is it now pretty rough?
Has a bit of a bite to it... the millenium flyer trains also help, they're practically couches
Kind of rough but on a scale of 1 to 10 on roughness it’s like a 4/10
It’s pretty rough but for a wooden one I guess not too bad.
Don't be fooled it's literally the smoothest coaster in the park besides silver bullet
I've read everything from "it's very smooth" to "you'll need a chiropractor after riding it" to "it's better than it was." My rides have always been pretty rough. I guess it varies from year to year.
I ❤️ Six Flags
KNOTT'S BERRY FARM is not SIX FLAGS PARK it has nothing to do with 6 flags YOU HEARD!!!!!!!!!!!!
fr
@@grudgesgalore8666Unfortunately, Six Flags bought out the corporate entity. It will still exist under its shareholdings.
There is one way to ride this coaster. In the back seat at night.
No I haven’t rid that before
My favorite coaster. Just the picture could be more steady
My favorite rides are prob hang time and ghost rider is my all time fav
twice shirt omg

Dang. I couldn’t move to push pause on my phone. Was hypnotized. I was hoping it would end. My what a long track
Never ridden ghost rider or any coaster but seems like fun
Imagine riding this at night
I miss riding this before they made it too bumpy. They had to fix the track because things broke and people died, now it's too bumpy.
no matter what i do the first drop always scares me
This looks similar to El Toro

After the remodel, it’s actually really smooth to what it was
Knott’s Berry Farm Saying Goodbye to Ghost Rider after closing Forever on July 22nd 2036
Hush bot
It's really rough. Didn't like it
It's extremely smooth you have no idea what you're talking about or have never ridden roller coaster before.
this is a copy and paste of viper at 6 flags
Stupid ride
why? any reason or just pointless hating?
I need some reassurance I wanna go on this ride next week when I go to knots berry farm, is the first drop really that bad?? 🥲
