#2024ChevyBlazerEVRS #Review
It's a fantastic vehicle for sure. But that price is hard to swallow with the Model Y and Ioniq 5 thousands less. If I were planning to spend 60 grand I'd just spend a little more and get the Cadillac Lyriq. High 40s to low 50s is the sweet spot for this car. Gr8 vid as usual. 🚙 🇺🇸 🔌
Exactly! Thanks for watching 🙏🏻
It is as great as the other EVs out there. It can't out-perform my Chevy Bolt EV, which costs about half as much!
5:05 - btw i finally just realized what those Y-shaped taillights on the Blazer EV are from, that shape mimics the intakes found on the sides of the mighty Z06...!!! 😎
21:22 Which Tesla Model Y are you looking at that costs $30-40k? In Canada, if you want a Model Y dual motor long range w/ 21” wheels, you’re looking at $72k.
There is a list of new inventory on Teslas site that have new standard Model Y’s right at 40k, and that’s before the $7500 tax credit. If you want a performance it’s high 40’s. Still 10-15k less than a Blazer with significantly better performance and technology 🤷🏻♂️ but I get that Tesla isn’t everyone’s cup of tea
11:17 What's up with the thermometer, cuz I'm 99% sure that it is not, in fact, 71C (about 160F) when you filmed this...
It was a weird glitch. It was showing Fahrenheit temps but with Celsius. I had to switch it in the menus
I had a chance to test drive one. It is a nice vehicle but it’s slow; it doesn’t give you that EV acceleration that can put a smile on your face or terrify your passengers 😆
I agree. It’s a little less zippy than I’d prefer!
Tesla Model Y starts at $44k with 260 miles of range. Not in the 30's. Model Y Performance starts at $52.5k. Good value. But no instrument cluster, no grab handles, no built-in sunshade, no leather, etc and soon no stalks or gear lever.. It is just missing a lot of stuff. In the next couple of months GM will gain access to Tesla's Supercharger Network, I think Tesla's biggest advantage.
Still a significantly lower starting price and you can take $7500 off the purchase price now as well. So you’re in the 30’s.
A lot of those features are not deal breakers and there are a lot of pros to Tesla that GM can’t even touch. I would take standard autopilot for 20k less even if that means no grab handles. But to each his own.
We’re holding out for the SS and won’t miss Apple Car play. Bluetooth is fine and way less fussy. Tesla dash and controls sux.
These are selling for 40ish at dealers.
They are now
Absolutely not. That and no carplay means less sales.
I love my BoltEV but chevy is getting stupid and overpriced.
I agree. It’s way too expensive.
Wouldn’t consider any EV without a frunk.
Why not? I mean it's different for people with families and such
Because Frank with dealer add on’s it won’t be 60,000. You must be able to afford a 1,000 dollar car payment. And again no frunk no no apple car play no sale.
So can I play videos and play videogames on that 17" inch screen?
Q: Is the 2024 Chevy Blazer EV worth $60,000?! A: yes. a Cybertruck is going to cost you $100k and even the 2-motor CT is going to cost you $80k. okay next question.
He's driving the Blazer that I've purchased. $60,000? No! Try $47ish. GM knocked off $5600 over the software issues and the $7500 "tax credit" I'm assigning back to the dealership.
I feel so bad for the people that lost 20% of the value right away. That’s super unfortunate
The Blazer EV is overpriced by $10 to $15k. The new entertainment system has major issues already. There are 4 Blazer RS EVs at the dealership near me in Delaware that are not selling. I like the looks, not the price.
I’m with you on the price.
Hell no
heard USA is shutting down all rail imports from Mexico...GM builds engines and transmissions in US, then ships them to Mexico and assembles them and then ships them back to US. This how GM is spending $10 billion on stock buybacks to make investors think GM is a good buy..hahahaahah
GM goes south of the border for slave labor to build this piece of crap....made in Mexico where they pay workers by the day, not hour.
🤢🤢🤢🤢
