Playing With Fire (Liu Gregor MD4H Solo)

Liu Gregor is a pretty underwhelming identity all around. His rolls are pretty terrible but even with that he's still usable. He has the best burn potency application out of any identity and can build up a burn stack faster than anyone else.

He's the best of the first 3 Liu IDs. His rolls are pretty low without conditionals, but with Resonance and his _+5 Offense Level,_ he ends up clashing MUCH better than you'd expect. He's bad the first few turns solo, but once he gets enough skill slots to start getting A-Res, he suddenly can't *lose* a clash.
One of my favorite things about Liu Gregor is he's one of those IDs where you can find yourself asking if you want another S3 or another S2 instead. While his S3 inflicts a LOT of Burn Potency, being able to stack Attack Power is hard to turn down.

I do like ids that can gain attack power up (LCB Don Quixote solos are really fun to watch), but gregor just has rolls too little to work initially. A ramp up id can't function if it can't survive in many cases to the point of ramping up

@@warmwater9509 He's not really meant to "ramp up" normally. He's meant for Resonance. Every ID ramps up when soloing because you'll always have easy access to Resonance with your own skills, but Liu is a dedicated Wrath/Lust Resonance team, two of Liu Gregor's most common skills.
Burn works best against bosses with multiple parts as it's easier to stack Burn and more importantly _Count_ in Focus Battles, and the more parts a boss has then the more Burn can do every turn, and the longer you can keep up Count with effects like Liu Ishmael's +2 Count on enemies with 6+ Burn with her S2.

Am I the only person who likes Liu Mersault? I have always had him on my burn team. He has decent clashing and burn count. You also have Regret which can help with clashes and damage.

Yeah, but the problem with that is 1 its resonance based so minimum turn 3 for it to work and 2 it's specifically wrath resonance so you need to use 3 skill 1's and good luck winning any clashes with that. It's nice in theory but not so good in practice, especially when you consider Gregor is more than capable of building a 99 burn stack from zero with 3 skill slots and the starting burn EGO gifts.
