Again we see that Moses separated from Zipporah for whatever reasons- not particularly stated. He then marries a Cushite lady ( generally regarded as modern day Ethiopia or Sudan- lands south of Northern Egypt). We know that in Numbers 12 : 1-2 Miriam and Aaron complained about it + other jealous issues- and the lord turned her leprous! Moses had to intervene. Not sure Midian and Cush are same people- the Midianites may be from Northern Egypt- will have to check that. But Moses definitely married either a sudanese or an Ethiopian. He must have an affinity for them and their customs cos he grew up in it- as that whole area right to Sudan formed ancient Egypt. In fact it is stated that there are more buried pyramids in Sudan than there are in Egypt- don't quote me. The blue nile starts from lake Tana in Ethiopia, while the white Nile starts from lake Victoria in Tanzania right up to Sudan where they meet, to form the Nile we know. So where are the children of this Cushite woman? When did Gershom and Eliazar return from Midian to join the other Israelites. I will appreciate any response and answers to these mystery questions> I should not say mystery, I just do not know.
@@LetThereBeLight-c3t it says Moses gave them gifts and sent them away to the East just like Abraham did to Ishmael and his second wives kids, they all Arabs and not Isrealites..... Are you aware there were 2 places called Cush back then? I discovered it when researching Eden and those 4 rivers. One Cush was around Arabia (Midian) the other was next to Egypt (Ethiopia).

This video sheds light on such an interesting and often overlooked part of Moses' story-his sons Gershom and Eliezer. It's fascinating to think about why their legacy wasn't more prominent, but at the same time, it reminds us of the importance of humble service behind the scenes. The way this video ties their story to themes of God's timing and obedience really makes you reflect on your own journey. Thank you for highlighting this hidden part of the Bible and offering such valuable insights!
Oh wow, this is really good the way it's summed up. I can see myself right in the midst of these pages... Thank you ever so much and GOD bless you richly, in JESUS' Name!
"Those also serve who stand and wait" (John Milton, "On His Blindness:). This is particularly true in the case of Moses' sons, & it still applies to those who love Jesus today.
Never learned he had kids..Churches always want to cover the same topics Even in Bible Schools, its always the same topics Thats why im glad we have Social Media nowdays so we can learn a whole bunch of stuff
That's why I started reading the Bible for myself, cover to cover. I now try to do that every year. FYI it only takes 15 min a day to read the whole Bible in a year.
While still in Egypt, Moses had sent them off with their mother Zipporah to their grandfather Jethro in Midian. After the Exodus, they joined their father in the desert. [Exodus 18:1-6] This is the last mention of them in the Torah.
I kind of think Gershom WAS circumcised as the first son and it grossed Zipporah out so much that she refused to let the second son be circumcised. That would explain her reaction. So it was Eliazar that wasn't circumcised. Who knows. But that scenario made sense in my mind. Thank you for this insightful study.
I found the story given surrounding Gershom and Eliezer very interesting, thank you. I did think of a few things myself in regards to why they were not held to be in greater importance. #1...clearly they returned to Midian after the circumcision incident. Ex4:25-26 shows Zipporah's lack of willingness to live in complete joyful obedience to YAHUAH, evidenced by her "comment" about his being a "husband of blood" and no further mention of them, so it's here that I believe they returned to Midian. Her father Jethro aka Reuel brings her back to him in Ex18:1-7 esp v2. #2...Pharaoh would probably have had the wife and/or boys snatched in order to have a greater control/threat over Moses. This YAHUAH would not allow. Can you imagine what Pharaoh would have attempted to do as revenge over the death of the firstborn in Ex11???😱 #3...Ex32:9-11 YAHUAH offers to destroy all of IsraEl then make of Moses a great nation after HE sees the golden calf ickiness. What would IsraEl have threatened Moses' son's with? What problems would that possible noteriety have caused on all sides? #4...Nadab and Abihu, Aharon's (Aaron) sons, "saw YAHUAH"..Ex24:9-14 alongside Moses, Aharon and 70 elders, something quite precious!! By Lev9 they'd learned how to do "Atonement" yet they opted to burn "strange fire, thereby offending YAHUAH enough to take their lives. Evidently they were intoxicated when they did this foolishness (Lev10:1-11 esp v9). Can you imagine the devastation between YAHUAH and Moses had such a thing happened with his sons? Horrible enough it happened to his nephews. Aharon's disobedience with the golden calf in Ex32 and both siblings, but especially Miryam's in Num12. There are limits that must be encouraged in any relationship that bears real respect and expectations both ways. Finally, think of Eli's disobedient sons in 1Sam2:12--4:22. Or Samuel's sons in 1Sam8:1-5 which is why the people decided to ask for a king. Or even King David's sons, or his descendant kings, most of which were evil. Having a parent who loves, serves and does all to please YAHUAH doesn't guarantee that the children will. This is why Ezek18:18-32 lays out in detail the fact that the father shall not be punished for the sins of the son OR vice versa. We must all work out our own soul salvation with fear and trembling..Phil2:12. As HE makes abundantly clear in Ezek14:12-23 if HE is prepared to punish us for participating in particularly evil practices, even the prayers of Noah, Daniel and Job wouldn't get us out of trouble. The fact that Gershom and Eliezer and their sons did well in their service before YAHUAH is admirable!! Evidently they got the message of 1Thess4:11 living quietly, loving YAHUAH with all their hearts, minds, souls and strength..Deut6:21-25 and Deut6:4-9. They learned to "shema...hear and obey". That in and of itself is a fantastic testimony that your vid clearly shows they did. Blessings

Hi there, Brilliant presentation. Thank you. Pls read the whole of Judges 19, focussing on the "Idol" made by a man called Micah with his Priest for hire. In Judges 18 :27 esp 29 to the end. You will notice that the descendants of Moses appeared again- The priest in Question- Jonathan was the son of Gershom- stated categorically that he was the g/son of Moses- just 2 generations. The continued to serve this Idols made by Micah until the time of exile- very long I say. 2 Things, I. Only the lineage of Aaron and his sons among the Kohathites ( which included Moses) were to be priests and chief Priest and not Moses. But we see here In Judges, that the grand sons of Moses- Jonathan became a personal priest to the Danites who payed the priest for hire a higher fee and promised him more prestige ( tribe V 1 man). The Bible records that they continued with this arrangement until the time of the exile. This singular act by the Dannite in collaboration with the Lineage of Moses as Priests/Chief priest ( in total disobedience to Gods order- ie- only the descendants of Aaron are chosen, consecrated and anointed to serve him). I know this looks long. But when the 2 kingdoms were divided, NIsreal (sometimes called the Hill country of Ephraim) set up there "place of Idol worship at Bethel and Dan ( who were already masters at Idol worship where they settled at Laish), worshiping golden Bulls etc. This singular act was responsible 1. the Assyrians conquering and scattering the whole of the Northern kingdom never to return. 2. The tribe of Dan and Ephraim were not part of the 144000 chosen from the 12 tribes- 12000 each.
@LetThereBeLight, brilliant and helpful. Dan is left out(sexual immorality ) but I think, by adding Joseph (Manesea already there separately) in the list (double portion), God must have joined the tribe of Ephraim... I don't know how far I'm correct but this is my observation.
It's disturbing that the dominant culture ignores other relevant information. Married to Zippirah the HITTITE ( Miriam was unhappy about it- read in book of Numbers)My reading is that she was black. So deal with facts rather than your wishes
Not much detail here! One of the benefits of reading the Bible through every year is you find these passages. 1 Chronicles 26:24 And Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler of the treasures. They did hold high positions among the Levites.
God has his favorites, he knits them to be his favorites. The rest are just here for the grunt work to elevate the favorites. Haven't you seen the pictures in your children's bible? The main characters and the no name workers in the back ground. Some even aren't depicted with faces.....This is a pep talk to get you enthused about doing your work...
With being in the forefront comes a huge responsibility..look at Adam and Eve , their offspring, Abraham, from having to drop and leave everything behind. To Daniel, David, all the prophet, Mary , above all JESUS, everybody had to give it all. But many of them you didn't hear much about their offspring. Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, ( Joseph)David and Solomon. Mary and her sons ( but we know nothing about her daughters) So maybe God blessed Moses and his family but didn't added heavy duty on his offspring..
This is very confusing. Moses was 40 years old and 80 years old when God call him to return to Egypt. So his sons couldn't have been young adults. I can't imagine Moses waiting 20 to 30 years to have children.
So, since Aaron built a calf in honor of Baal, and God forgave him for doing that. And God gave him and his sons the priesthood,.....is this the lineage of priests who condemned Jesus and denied that He is the son of God?
Aaron did not make a calf in honour of Baal. Read the scripture again. For yourself this time and not what your pastors tell you. He made a calf on the demands of the people, to represent yhwh their Elohim who brought them out of Egypt. Read the story again.
@@blaqhebrew Make sure you back up your point with scripture. The golden calf was made because the Israelites got tired of waiting on Moses. So when they went to Aaron he tells them to take off their gold and he molded it in an idol god for them to worship. Then after seeing it the fool makes an altar and represents it to the Lord. What's interesting is that the Israelites knew their true God delivered them but yet went back to sinning against him so fast it's the beginning of a roller coaster ride between God and his chosen. Noticed in the script that they dared to make sacrifices unto an idol bet yet dedicate it to the Lord at the same time. They fresh out of Egypt but resorts to idolatry so fast it blew my mind what's even more crazy is that their behavior against God is no different from what we as believers do today. Saying we serve God with our lips while serving sin at the same time. Exodus 32 The Golden Calf 32 When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.” 2 Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. 4 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.” 5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” 6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings. Afterward they sat down to eat and drink and got up to indulge in revelry. What makes God so awesome he's forgiving even in our worse sins.
@@IminHIGHpursuitofthelivingGod Vs 4b. This (not these) is your mighty one(God) not mighty ones (gods). They knew what they were saying. Not a false god, but Yahuwah! Their problem is they made a an image of Yahuwah which is idolatry.
@@blaqhebrew And knowing how sin kept entering into their hearts against the one and only true God, the Israelites wanted to do it their way and not Gods way. You can't make a golden idol and worship it and then make an alter unto the living God and worship the way you want to. They were being sinful and disobedient. I agree with you on that part they knew exactly what they were doing and it's called SELF. Aaron did not glorify the true living God in that moment, he himself said to the Israelites this is your gods, who brought you out of Egypt 🇪🇬 That in itself is such an insult to the living God.
Okay you inviting us to say something. I've watched a few of your videos but I don't want to watch it anymore because these people a never look like the people of Egypt, Africa or the Middle East. They always look like the from Europe. Thanks and Shalom.
Just an opinion… I think zipporah should’ve been chosen rather than Moses because she followed God’s commands. Maybe not right when he ordered it but she still followed & acted accordingly. However I get WHY it was Moses & not a woman.
Thank you honestly I didn't get that gives me more to study. But the one thing no one hardly brings it up. That zipporah was an Ethiopian woman. Strange yet sad. Well for yrs Jesus Christ was portrait as a white man.
Zipporah was a Midianite. Midian is an Arabian region. Zipporah was Asian, not African. She was also a descendant of Abraham. Don’t make the Bible say something it doesn’t say for your own agenda.
Moses took his wife and sons back to Jethero not in Egypt. The angel of the LORD wanted to slew Garshom not Moses, perhaps because Zipporah was standing in Moses's divine way ' wanting him not to go to Egypt' The calling was to Moses, and Aron to excute God's plan. 'not his house,' The
So is that why we do not know anymore about them? Because the tribe of Dan is not included in the tribes of Revelation chapter 7 "...till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads...". Even the two sons of Joseph are included whom Jacob adopted, though their mother was not a Hebrew.
@@lucille7069 Isaac nor Jacobs wives nor the concubines were Isrealites. King David nor Solomon's sons who became kings came from an Isrealites women, they were foreigners. Laban wasn't an Isrealites that's the family Abraham and Isaac went to for their wives. Family yes but just like Ishmael and Esau they not Isrealites.
Why Johnathan son of Gershom son of Moses, the Levite in Judges 18:30, is not mentioned ? He and his sons became the priests of Dan until captivity according to the verse.
Jonathan the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh -- it's mentioned in some translations like this.... So this is not moses' son.. Also gershom's son is shebuel according to 1 chronicles 23:16.. But here Jonathan is mentioned... So ibthink this is not moses.. It's manasse
@@juno_4_Jesus As there are opinions that Manasseh was just put there to cover the fame of Moses, and Jonathan was clearly a Levite (though he was not included in 1Chronicle probably because he did not serve there), he should be mentioned (right or wrong can be decided by us) to tell us that Moses’ descendants could possibly walk astray from the law. Is it better than repeating the good you want to sell in this short movie? Praise the Lord.
My guess is as to why God did not choose the sons of Moses to fill the office of the high priest is probably because he chose an Ethiopian wife outside the tribes of Israel. Though it does not say one way or the other the exact reason. They are however doing the office of regular priests and temple work. Book of Jasher 79:7 And Moses hearkened to all that the Lord had commanded him, and he returned to his father-in-law and told him the thing, and Reuel said to him, Go in peace. 8 And Moses rose up to go to Egypt, and he took his wife and sons with him, and he was at an inn in the road, and an angel of God came down, and sought an occasion against him. 9 And he wished to kill him on account of his first born son, because he had not circumcised him, and had transgressed the covenant which the Lord had made with Abraham. 10 For Moses had hearkened to the words of his father-in-law which he had spoken to him, not to circumcise his first born son, therefore he circumcised him not. 11 And Zipporah saw the angel of the Lord seeking an occasion against Moses, and she knew that this thing was owing to his not having circumcised her son Gershom. 12 And Zipporah hastened and took of the sharp rock stones that were there, and she circumcised her son, and delivered her husband and her son from the hand of the angel of the Lord.

Every male was circumcised. God would have killed Moses otherwise for disobedience, especially in his own house.
Thanks for sharing this important information so that others may know that the Lord knows and sees everyone's imput in the family of God.
Thank you sir for the beautiful information which are often hidden.
Can you imagine what Pharaoh would have attempted to do as revenge over the death of the firstborn in Ex11???😱
#3...Ex32:9-11 YAHUAH offers to destroy all of IsraEl then make of Moses a great nation after HE sees the golden calf ickiness.

As i understand the scriptures, ziphora curcumcised Moses, too
Thank you sir 🐝
So... What happened to them? Who are their descendants ?
Good afternoon I love to hear and see the hidden story.
Tnx for enlightened me my name..I am Eliezer it means My God of all gods is my protector defender and everything with out him I am nothing..
We are all sons of Moses..if you believe the Bible
This is very confusing. Moses was 40 years old and 80 years old when God call him to return to Egypt. So his sons couldn't have been young adults. I can't imagine Moses waiting 20 to 30 years to have children.
There were two Exoduses. The second on Akhenaten amd That Moses were banned to middle Egypt. Armona.
HalleluYAH
Moses grandson was Micah’s priest who lead the tribe of Dan into idolatry
nice, thank you, but many mistakes in the text. Blessings to you.
5 minutes video is taking 20+, the narrator keeps repeating over and over same sentences, rearranging words.
It makes sooo boooring
So, since Aaron built a calf in honor of Baal, and God forgave him for doing that. And God gave him and his sons the priesthood,.....is this the lineage of priests who condemned Jesus and denied that He is the son of God?
Aaron did not make a calf in honour of Baal. Read the scripture again. For yourself this time and not what your pastors tell you.
He made a calf on the demands of the people, to represent yhwh their Elohim who brought them out of Egypt. Read the story again.
Correct !❤❤❤@@blaqhebrew

Make sure you back up your point with scripture.
Exodus 32
The Golden Calf
32 When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”
2 Aaron answered them, “Take off the gold earrings that your wives, your sons and your daughters are wearing, and bring them to me.” 3 So all the people took off their earrings and brought them to Aaron. 4 He took what they handed him and made it into an idol cast in the shape of a calf, fashioning it with a tool. Then they said, “These are your gods, Israel, who brought you up out of Egypt.”
5 When Aaron saw this, he built an altar in front of the calf and announced, “Tomorrow there will be a festival to the Lord.” 6 So the next day the people rose early and sacrificed burnt offerings and presented fellowship offerings.

And knowing how sin kept entering into their hearts against the one and only true God, the Israelites wanted to do it their way and not Gods way.
You can't make a golden idol and worship it and then make an alter unto the living God and worship the way you want to. They were being sinful and disobedient. I agree with you on that part they knew exactly what they were doing and it's called SELF.
Aaron did not glorify the true living God in that moment, he himself said to the Israelites this is your gods, who brought you out of Egypt 🇪🇬
That in itself is such an insult to the living God.
Okay you inviting us to say something. I've watched a few of your videos but I don't want to watch it anymore because these people a never look like the people of Egypt, Africa or the Middle East. They always look like the from Europe. Thanks and Shalom.
very good.
Just an opinion… I think zipporah should’ve been chosen rather than Moses because she followed God’s commands. Maybe not right when he ordered it but she still followed & acted accordingly. However I get WHY it was Moses & not a woman.
Amen
Amen Amen Amen
Moses sons were all mixed raced
Thank you honestly I didn't get that gives me more to study. But the one thing no one hardly brings it up. That zipporah was an Ethiopian woman. Strange yet sad. Well for yrs Jesus Christ was portrait as a white man.
Jesus did not come from the line of Moses. Please read His genealogy in Matthew 1
thats true ,jesus is a black hebrew man

1. I don't click like for Bot videos. 2. the story is too long and repetitive. Babbling on before getting to the gist of the story is boring.
and now, just clicking like. oi vey.

Ahhh those two little black boys....
Prophetic office is not inherited.
True. It is a call to a special relationship.
I have an issue with in images used.
None of those people were European whites.
Fix your graphics. Moses' sons had a black mother named Zipporah. See Numbers 12. They were black people; please stop whitewashing them!
Zipporah was a Midianite. Midian is an Arabian region. Zipporah was Asian, not African. She was also a descendant of Abraham. Don’t make the Bible say something it doesn’t say for your own agenda.
@CourtneyGBartlett true, but genetically she was Ethiopian just living in Midia, because wasn't he discriminated against for having black wife?
But Moses didn’t part the Red Sea but only with God
The forgotten son is Frazer Clark Heston who was the baby Moses in the basket
🎉🙏
They didn’t look like that.
Moses took his wife and sons back to Jethero not in Egypt.
The angel of the LORD wanted to slew Garshom not Moses, perhaps because Zipporah was standing in Moses's divine way ' wanting him not to go to Egypt'
The calling was to Moses, and Aron to excute God's plan. 'not his house,'
The
True
Maybe Moses forgot about the circumcision. He was eighty years old when God called him to use.
Moses sons went with the tribe of DAN....
DID THE SONS C MUCH HOPE AS ALL THEY DID WAS WALK TILL THE PROMISED LAND SHOWED UP !!
Can't know about every character..
Surely you can get a human being to narrate this and not AI?
Stop repeating yourself
Moses was a black man
all are fiction. Their part not continued
They were never caucasians
