How do you hang this projector on the ceiling of a home cinema, there is no standard mounting for it.

This will definitely be one of the best electronics products of the year. Every review has been stellar! At this point i want to see one next to a jvc! If it came anywhere close you could then laugh at all of the home theater youtube reviewers that all have automobile priced jvc projectors and say anything else is garbage. That would be the greatest achievement of this projector!
This was already compared to the epson's and it didn't even touch them on black levels, as in, it's as bad as some of the better UST's like the FMT. JVC projectors got worse over the years on the black levels and still noone can touch them. Sony came close this gen, but the bad lenses and lack of features on the xw5000es made it even worse than last gens. The LS12000 seems better at pretty much everything except black levels tho, some people actually prefer it to the np5 and nz7.
Idk why projector brands don't prioritize blacks for home theater usage. It's the place where most projectors fall short. And the thing people prioritize the most at least for HT. I'm not even saying to get JVC levels, but 5050ub levels at least, it's pretty reasonable at least at 3k+.
This is an outlier, because it's a much cheaper projector, but I'd still get the old 6050ub for that same price (here it's still selling at least for a similar price as this one less than 2k. I'd take the resolution hit to gain that massive contrast difference any day).
I'd love an RGB laser projector with more color gammut as well. I can't believe in 2023 we're still not achieving full DCI P3 on high end projectors that cost 5-10k, and they plain out lie about the coverage too (looking at you sony and the 95% to irl values of 80%). To make it worse this gen we don't even have the option to use a filter to extend it at the cost of brightness.
Sad times for the HT Projector space, paying double the price, for less performance, and always giving up on something major no matter what brand you chose. At least this one has a nice design and it's quite reasonably priced.

Can't enjoy the movie if I can't see it lol. Just try to see movies like godzilla (2014) for example that have very low apl scenes that look abhorrent in even LCD tvs on this. You will be looking at a flat grey screen on those scenes and there are a ton of them.
With more directors liking low apl scenes nowadays this makes these projectors a really dumb purchase for movies. For sports etc. they are great since those don't suffer the same issue. @@ciaranh5907
Lol you wrote all of that ... Jeezes did this projector do something too you lol. Just received mine a week ago and it looks fantastic. Easy to set up as well. I'm not over here measuring black level. You just use your eyes and enjoy. Contrast hdr black levels look fine and don't get me started on Dolby digital. If you already have your mind set on not getting this state of art projector because you can't afford it why serf UA-cam looking for videos like these just to kill the vibe. It's quite good! You can still use traditional speakers but I find the quality to be quite good.
@@JSyntax how come can you say that out loud? Quite good according to which test? Your ears? Come on! Those are 10 bucks speakers with fancy HK name that is owned by Chinese for many years. no, those little tiny speakers can't even give you 10% of frequencies recorded in the movie. you can't and good luck with Bluetooth lag while connecting anything wireless ;)

So what is the largest picture size you can get if you set the projector about 11 feet away from the opposing wall in a 12 L x 17 W x 8 H room?
You can figure that out from the throw ratio - which at its biggest for this projector is 1:1.2, so for every 1 foot of screen width you need to place the projector 1.2 feet away..so 11 feet away divide by 1.2, means your max screen width is 9.2 feet.
We know it’s a 16:9 screen ratio , and 16/9 = 1.77 so 9.2 feet / 1.77 = 5.2 feet as the max height of your screen.
You then can figure out using Pythagoras right triangle theory that the top to bottom diagonal length of this 9.2 feet wide and 5.2 feet high screen is 10.6 feet, or around a 127 inch sized screen.

depends on what you want, you should always buy a TV if you want absolute brightness. But if you want a bigger screen mainly watch it after sunset time, projector will do better.
It's X"Jimmy" 😅. Nice video though. You didn't mention any daytime/ambient light viewing. 2300 ISO lumens really bright = to just over 2800 ANSI. It should be more than enough to get a clear image with some lights on
Just got mine yesterday and I tested it out. It has ambient light adjustment and I can still see everything very clearly🤌🏻great for outside too

I'm really wanting one of these, but I'm hesitant until I can find out for sure if there is (or will be) a viable way to ceiling mount it.
I wish someone would actually measure the brightness of this thing. A calibrated light meter is all you need. I've learned to never trust the stated lumens because I've had even high end projectors with measured brightness that was 50% of the stated value. Saying you it is 2300 ISO lumens is nice but if the actual brightness is 700 ANSI lumens then it's just not going to meet expectations.
What tripod would work best for the Horizon Ultra?
I'm using a little mini tripod from Amazon just get something that is made of metal and not plastic and

It depends knf on the room darkness. I don't have exact measurements but there's a lot of latitude in the settings

There's a game mode with low latency! It's fast

Can you buy this without the little speaker seems pretty gimmicky to me. I’d rather setup home theater speakers.
