- Hey guys! Today I am going to be making some custom DIY decals. I designed these using procreate and then printed them on DIY sticker paper by cricuit. These turned out amazing and are a great way to customize your laptop, phone, waterbottle, hydroflask or whatever you want to create a custom version of. Hope you like them!

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 27 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try LOL).

Maybe as Fred grows, more of himself becomes exposed and we can learn more about him. Does he flower? Will he grow a fruit or vegetable? Is he just a chill green guy or will he have more color in his leaves? When he outgrows his pot will he get a new slightly fancier one? (I’m too invested in this character but I love him so much and character development for him would be everything)
Edit: yes I know he’s a fake plant, I would still love character growth for my plant baby! Also he’s a magical bear-plant squishy, Fred can do as he pleases including stay the same 💖
I think Fred would look kinda like a mandrake! It wold solve a lot of questions like repotting.

I really love the stickers “decals”. You could fill in the empty space with oversized sprinkle decals. That would look great and more fitting to your style. Love all the content you make. Have a good weekend. 🙂

Please never stop with the characters origin story's! I love how much you think about each character as if it is its only little person, it makes everything so much more interesting and I personally find myself over thinking everything I draw and if it doesn't have a good story I hate it so it's nice to see someone else with that trouble lol

You should totally make use of the cricut for “decals”! 🤗 it’s pretty simple to use and makes perfect cuts. Ofc, it takes a bit of trial and error but totally worth it! I used it for a quick envelope customization for invites.

OH MY GOSH THANK YOU MORIAH!! This video helped me fix the colors on my drawing tablet!! You said that you had to adjust the color before you printed the image. This whole time for 5 months, I have been trying to make the colors showing on my drawing tablet and my computer match because on my computer the colors were way more saturated. I haven't really drawn anything on my tablet because of it. Now i know how it works! THANK U!!!!!
If you are having trouble blending in procreate, you can click the magic wand icon in the top left corner and then tap on “Gaussian blur” making it so that when you slide your pen to the right it will blend.
That’s like the only blending technique I use

Yes. See, it doesn’t matter about views or subscribers or that silly nonsense, it matters about whether she’s doing what she loves for herself and her own enjoyment.
If she does it for her own enjoyment then she will make many other people happy. But if she does it because someone wants her to do it then she isn’t happy and isn’t making anything of use or such. So she is so awesome for doing it because she loves art (I hope)!

She could do comic books of some of her characters where she makes a story out of all the art projects they were featured on.
Tip for the colored outlines:
Make them all black then make a clipping mask ontop of that layer to do the colors

Tip: when making the line art a darker version of the color, do it in black first then use alpha lock that way you only color the lines

Clipping mask? Whats the difference?
@@formalpotato5874 If you add a clipping mask over the lineart layer, you add the colors on a different layer. Alpha lock is done directly on the lineart layer but does basically the same thing as a clipping mask if that makes sense

@@AlexaFaie Hey what do you have against JK Rowling :(. Also I mean it’s a fantasy children’s book, how original can you really make it? I think it’s better to use monsters and such that the readers can somewhat recognize instead of coming up with brand new absurd ones in my opinion 🤷♀️

i feel like in those empty spots you could maybe make cool little stickers to cover the spaces (like characters, paint brushes or sprinkle piles) or you could put like team names for the of the groups like for the raining sprinkle one could be “sprinkle gang” or smth but i really like it it looks so cool !

When you were doing the blending on Miss Kitty you don’t need to you the blend tool instead Alpha lock the layer by taping on it and selecting “Alpha Lock” and then tap on the little magic wand at the top and select “Gaussian Blur” and slide the slider as far as you want to blend the piece
Make sure only the thing you want to blur is on the layer and if you want to add anything to the layer layer just remove alpha lock

Moriah, here’s a tip as a digital artist when blending
Use the airbrush, it’s much better than blurring and smudging
Edit: ok let me be clearer, I was talking about when she was doing Miss Kitty and when she couldn’t blend the rainbow

It’s actually not. If you know how to use it, I guess it’s fine, but you do need cell shading.
Yep! I used to use blur (I use ibis paint x) but now I always use the airbrush! It’s so helpful

Hey moriah, a little procreate tip for you
If you want to fill solid color in a closed space you can drag the color, circle, icon thing and it will fill that closed space. It will decrease the time taken during the art process.

Hello! Fellow artist here; if you want your lineart to be a darker version of your colors, outline in black first, then make a new layer above your lineart and set it to "clipping mask!" Your drawing on that layer will be confined to the one below it, so you can color right over your black lineart! When i design stickers I also like to make my lines a little bit thicker than normal so it still looks good on a smaller scale from a distance! I loved this video, keep it up :]

For coloured lineart, I would recommend doing black lines, then colour, then adding a clipping mask above the lines and colouring it after.

The cool thing about Art is that every artist is going to see things differently and have a different perspective so u can create Art however u like + make it unique according to your style

I would love to see a custom chess set. I imagine the figures would have to be clay because just painting a chess set isn’t that great. 16 blobs versus 16 original characters!

A tip for drawing on procreate to make it faster is to reference the line art layer, add a layer underneath, they you can use the fill bucket on a different layer than the lineart❤️
You know who should be in a decal together, or just in any drawing really. Miss Kitty, or Miss cat, and the space cat that looks hypnotized. They would be a cute friends!
I as someone who has done the outlines darker version of collor thing say, do the outlines black, under the outline layer do collors then make overlay layer on outlines, eyedrop the real collors make slightly darker and carefully collor your outlines, hope this helps for future projects

If you set the canvas to CMYK instead of RGB when you’re setting it up the colours will be more accurate to the final print! ☺️
