Times change. Just look at how weird history was and how normal it seems at the time.
Ryan has the right perspective. The belts and other boxing accolades are pointless in 2024. They have been totally devalued by celebrity boxing, crooked refs and judges, weight cutting rules which haven't been properly standardized, etc. Just get the bag, entertain people, keep using your platform for good, and have fun while doing it all, and I think he'll be very content when it's all said and done.
Not to mention there's too many belts so it's watered down. Also stops the best fighting the best. If there was one belt per division everyone would be gunning to fight the champ
I don't like Ryan but he's made more in this one fight than most fighters will ever make in a 10 year career.
