I honestly dint know? But I do know some things about these guys that not alot of people know.
It's like that at every level. They plan a few fights in advance and are then invested in the "right" guy winning so they can make the next fight and the next, like Paddy and O'malley getting fed cans, they have a blueprint for their hype trains. First let them squash jobbers and gain fans and exposure, then have a midcard "test"/gatekeeper opponent they will beat, then put them against the most favorable matchup in the top 5 and then a title shot. It's exactly like WWE, they already picked who they want to succeed and give them every chance to do so and bend the rules in their favor (robbery decisions, ref favoritism, etc).
