I picked up a single pickup version of this yesterday. I really like it, It may be my number 1.
    A few questions,
The pots, volume is crackling a bit, no biggie to clean but in your opinion are they cheap?
I’m tempted to change em, they just feel like there isn’t enough resistance when turning
    them.
I always liked locking tuners, Would it be a sin to upgrade to high quality locking tuners?
I certainly love the weight and growl of it. She’s a keeper!

They are not cheap. I would try cleaning first and change them if that does not work. Your guitar. Not a sin to replace with locking.

Is the reverse pickup mount bracket separate from thr pickup to allow easy swapping ?

It is just a different way of mounting a p90. Usually in my experience the pickup is mounted via a screw into the body of the guitar or dog ears. I do not think any of the different mounting methods make pickup replacement any easier. All about the same. Whether that was Gibson's intent - not sure.

What is the recommended p/u height?

One thing about p90s. I do not go with any recommended pickup height. They are all about how they sound. Too close and they are garbled and distorted. Too far away and they are weak. That being said here is the factory settings. The Gibson specification for p-90 pickup height. is 3/64" from the string with the string depressed at the last fret. This is the standard height for both pickups.

@@guitarcollectorguy Thanks, I love mine and have played about with height with clean tone until it chimes (not sure the actual height) I used a spectrum analyser as a visual. The neck is great and almost as comfy as my 1992 GLPCP, which I also love.
