Wasn't expecting her to get a steam test yet, I hope it went well for you all. That whistle and bell sound great too. I was very curious to see how they were operated.
EoM isn’t dismantled. It patiently awaits whatever form of restoration that eventually happens. It is in the carriage shed at Glan y Pwll. Bogies on Fairlies are interchangeable and it sits on a worn set. Not sure if money is assigned to a rebuild but never say never.
Wow guys you finally got James spooner completed and steamed congratulations 🎉👍😎
Fantastic, Best news of the Day! Keep up the good work Boston Lodge.
I can’t wait to go behind this engine one day and hear that whistle for myself 😊😊 such a beautiful sound
Love the old split cab.
Fantastic stuff well done all of you...... Moel tryfan one day?
Fantastic job!!! So excited to see this. Save our square! ❤

Gwych. Llongyfarchiadau i'r tîm yn Blodge. 👍🙂
I love the Welsh language unfortunately I can’t speak it and they don’t teach it at my school 😭😭😭
Looks amazing! Will it remain with a partially (?) open cab?
There is a removable section to complete the cab when necessary.
It’s alive!
Successful stuff. I wonder, could this generate lots of interest into building a replica of the very first double fairlie, Little Wonder?
Yeah that would have been cool for the 150th anniversary of the og engine's trials
I wonder if this would Ignite interest in Making some more replicas, Such as a Replica of the Long Scrapped, Little Giant.
Pity the first preserved engine has now been dismantled, but at the same time I am looking forward to seeing James Spooner.
Which engine has been dismantled?
The first steam locomotive to run on the FfR in preservation was Prince, which is still going strong and definitely not dismantled
@@DanQuineI suspect EoM is meant. Do we know whether there's any ring-fenced fund for it's eventual rebuild?

@@FfestiniogWelshHighland Indeed. Never say never. But if we're never supposed to say never, than that should also be said for Princess
One of my favourite locomotives, the Double Fairleigh!! Beautiful little locomotive!! What are they doing to her?
Building it. Fairlie by the way.
I have a question when will it be painted in it’s Ffestiniog colour and when will it enter service on the Ffestiniog railway
It will go into the paint shop next and then there are a few more jobs to do and it will probably be September or October when it goes on test.
You can see the colour on the outsides of the cabs, already painted.
