- In this episode I will take you up one of the most iconic mountains of Sarawak: Mount Santubong. This mountain is an incredibly fun and challenging hike that will take you through the wonderful lowland jungle and put your fitness to the test. Here we will search for one of the most beautiful species of tropical pitcher plants: Nepenthes veitchii.
This small series is dedicated to all carnivorous plants enthusiasts and passionate growers, especially those who are not able to travel to see these beautiful plants in the wild.
My goal is to share this fantastic experience with you and let you immerse yourself into this incredible Nature. I hope you will enjoy!

Thanks for giving this elderly carnivorous plant hobbyist back his youth 🙏 🙌 ❤️ it is as if i am there with you. This will be in my bucket list. The past 2 videos are just ridiculously excellent and waiting for part 3.
Thank you so much for these lovely words. It means a lot! That's exactly why I wanted to do this small series. I am already working on the next episode ;)

Quite literally one of the best nepenthes documentary out there, love every single minute of it and one to be watched over and over again! 🤩🤩🤩
Thank you so much for this amazing feedback. It really means a lot :)
I love Ada's comments about the hike
Thank you Natalka! I am very happy that this project is slowly taking shape. More stuff to come! ;)
Great to hear the cicadas again, always reminds me of the rainforests on Borneo&Sumatra♥nice to see Bako again. Wanted to go to Santubong too but we went to Bau's limestone caves to look for northiana and campanulata.
I am happy you enjoyed it! I was in Bau in 2019 but back then caves were closed. Did you find northiana?
@@leonardogrillo88 We were there 2017 in the big fairy cave. When you walk deep inside there is a small opening with a rotten ladder in the end. Up the limestone massive we did not find any northiana unfortunately. Heavy rain began so we turned arround after a very short time. At the front where the climbing routes are, you can see campanulata in 35-40m height hanging down the rock.
Super! 🤩
Piękny. Czekamy na następny.❤

Great episode! I love the idea of adding a voice track from the two of you. The music chosen as usual is masterful, keeps you in suspense and builds a beautiful background to the narrative. And those wonderful inserts about legends and historical curiosities! Pleasant to the eye, ear and spirit. I look forward to the next episode with impatience 🙌
Thank you so much for the lovely feedback ❤
Hi! Did you see any N. tentaculata on Santubong? I heard rumors that it's extinct on Santubong but my heart wants to believe :(
Unfortunately I couldn't find any....but maybe I didn't look well enough :/
@@leonardogrillo88 I see! Thanks for your response
Looking forward to more of your videos! I plan to travel to borneo in 2024 and your videos excite me
